The 2012 Bands of America Grand National Champion Carmel High School Marching Greyhounds performing at the 125th Pasadena Tournament of Roses Parade on Wednesday, January 1st 2014.
The song is "In The Stone" by Earth, Wind and Fire.
Nice job. When I hear "In the Stone" I always think of the 1980 Bayonne Bridgemen. Check out this clip from DCI. It's my fave version.

That's what we watched to get inspired
Can someone please tell me what song they are playing? We play it all the time in jazz band, but it's killing me and I feel dumb because I can't remember what it's called.
Does anyone know what song this is?
+The NSA No marcher was left behind. We even held a car raffle in order to get some money!
Their sound is good - and HOLY HELL batman, what's that, a 15 person cymbal line?? That's larger than the whole drumline from my Alma Mater. Their dressing bugs me (laymen terms, making sure you're in line left and right) But I do understand that some days are just so freakin' hot, and after marching in a uniform, in a parade, for upwards of 5 miles at times makes it hard to keep everyone in line. It could also even be the bands 2nd parade of the day - those days are 'fun'. Still bugs me.
Who pays to send all these kids out there? Where does this money come from?
Yeah, quite a bit of it going on. It's not cheap to be in the Carmel band, that's for sure. How many kids didn't get to go? Any?
The students. We work very hard at raising funds for our trips. All year long process.
When I was in my high schools marching band in the mid 2000s, we did a lot of fundraising. We had a pancake breakfast with silent auction every year, sold chocolate, got donations, etc. And then parents would also just spend money out of their own pockets as needed. Some people got scholarships. You'd acquire the money year round to pay for a few months in the summer.
