When I went to Disneyland last year, I rode this for the first time and it was my first rollercoaster with a loop. I didn't know what to expect, I got over my fear of going upside down and rode it 3 times after that. Such an awesome ride 🤙
The exact same thing happened to me! It was my first rollercoaster with a loop. I had been scared to go on them but i did it and I loved it. Then after riding it about 6 more times I begged my parents to let me go on it one last time before we had to leave the next morning 😂
I just went to disney for presidents day weekend. It was going to be my first roller coaster with a loop too. While me and my cousins were waiting in line I felt a wave of nausea come in. I had no clue whether i was just super nervous or if I was actually sick. My stomach hurt all the way until we waiting until the next train. I felt like i would throw up while on the ride so I walked across the train to the exit. As I got to the photos my stomach pain went away. Maybe it was just nervousness that made it hurt. After watching this, I feel so embarrassed not riding this. Luckily we are going to disney again next presidents day weekend. Once we go there I will ride this and overcome my fear. Maybe I will want to ride it 5 more times after that. Anyways thanks for reading my not so awesome story. If you have any feedback that can help me that would be very much appreciated. Honestly, people are being too negative about this. I agree, it didn't live up to it's expectations, but it's not like the coaster got worse.This is a definite improvement on the coaster and I'm glad this change happened.
You’re right, the coaster didn’t get worse. But looking at recent ride improvements with gorgeous 3D mapped projections (Thunder Mountain, and Hyperspace come to mind) its perplexing why they went so low budget on this. It could of had movies in the tubes, but instead it’s tacky looking models. And why the storyline of chasing Jack Jack when so many exciting parts of the Incredibles are the amazing set pieces (Incredibles II literally has a run away monorail they could have done a lot with?). I think it’s just squandered potential. It’s not abysmal, but it’s just kind of ‘meh’.
ShinHito I feel like they wanted something like that on the coaster but didn't have the budget because of Galaxy's Edge and couldn't do it because of space and the fact it's an outdoor coaster.
I mean it is a bit better (the lighting effects look really good at night) but animatronic elements, especially for the Mr. Incredible and Elastigirl segments that the ride slows down for, would have made it way more immersive.

Honestly I think people are hating too much. I’ve been on it and it’s amazing. The moment you go you start speeding, my hair went flying. The light effect on the multiplying Jack Jack section makes that part look a lot better. I still wished they used screens/projections somehow for that scene, but at least it looks alright.

I also wish Edna was an animatronic. I knew the others would be static and you go by them so fast anyway but Edna is enclosed in a room and you crawl past her both times.
I get that people are upset by how tacky the overlay looks, but I think it ended up this way because most of the imagineers are still working on Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge, as that has a bigger focus. Maybe when that land is finally done they'll put more effort into future changes and additions, but for now, we'll have to work with what we currently have.

It looks amazing at night, love the lighting, the color blue and red throughout the pier. Especially the first tunnel with the purple laser effect and the third tunnel with the fire effect, the unique force field effect really shows at night. I went on this when I went to California, and I absolutely loved it. Sure there isn’t special effects or anything, I was kinda disappointed with that not gonna lie. But, the ride is really smooth and extremely fun to be on, especially at the beginning. If you don’t like rough rollercoaster rides, I highly recommend going on this.

Family Of Hope Vlogs I hate it because Disney just put in some manikins and said, this is good enough. If they would have taken there time to make animatronics or at the very least make the characters mouth move, I feel like it would be so much better!
You wouldn't really even see the animatronic's movements anyway, since you're going so fast. And besides, having something moving in such a small space could be a danger to riders.
I grew up being petrified of rollercoasters, this was the first one i ever went on at the tender age of 25. it took some convincing and a few beers but I had a blast.
Okay everyone keeps saying it was tacky and a waste of time but it wasn't. For someone who went on it 5 times in one day, it is one of the best rides at disneyland and I'm glad it changed. Sorry if you don't agree but it is an incredible (get it?) change and it's awesome. So why waste your time commenting rude things when you could be saying positive things about it?
I just rode this tonight. First timers: Definitely ride a smaller one like big thunder mountain before this one. I got rlly dizzy on the loop like couldn’t see straight for a second lol Stomach feeling was bad on first drop but that’s it.
Abby Collins I actually watched a behind the scenes on this, specifically in the tunnels when you’re going uphill and at the tilt the track slows down the coaster while the track is simultaneously moving the cart forward during show scenes in the tunnels.
I agree. It looks better @ night, however it's not fully enclosed like Space Mountain. It is much harder to do effects especially at the high rate of speed the coaster travels. More tunnels may have been the answer. A water fall effect like in the Incredibles house etc. There are several other "spots" on the ride that could easily truly make it into an IncrediCoaster.
This is the plain out best ride at DCA, and I was soo scared before going on it because of the big drops… Honestly, it was the most fun ride I had been on the whole week that I was there, I feel like before when I watched the rest of my family on it, I had convinced myself that it was a ride that I would NEVER go on, but after going on it two times in a row, i’m convinced it’s the best ride at DCA and not even space mountain could change my mind. For those of you who are scared, the only advice I have for you is just to go on it! Just do it! Listen, I was literally CRYING before I went on the ride, after I was very excited to go on it again. Great ride to get over your fears of coasters.
I'm here trying to get myself pumped to go on this, I went on it 2 years ago and came off crying & swearing up and down I'd never go on it again!!! But now I'm determined to give it another try because I went on Splash for the first time last year and it was a piece or cake :) I think my biggest fear is that first drop. When I first went on it it felt like I was dying. Did the drop feeling get easier the second time you went on it? Also was your first ride through the "scariest" one before you really had fun? It's so much harder trying to force myself to ride it a second time after a bad first experience😭

Since I went on it twice, the second time was much better and I felt more comfortable on the ride because I had just been on it, I can’t really tell you any way that you can prevent that feeling of going down a drop, but just try to remind yourself that the Incredicoaster is supposed to be a thrill ride! If you weren’t scared at all, it wouldn’t be fun, right? Don’t force yourself on if you really don’t want to go, but I bet if you went on it again (or I hope!) you will thoroughly enjoy it, but of course, not everyone is the rollercoaster type, I also suggest building up with other rides near or in the park (at DCA and Disney) what I did was I went on the cars ride and then I went on Goofy’s sky school which have very very minor drops, and then if you’re going to Disneyland you could try Space Mountain, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, or Matterhorn Bobsleds, I hope this helps! I was super scared before I went on it, and I had my eyes closed the whole time! Just try it once more and maybe you’ll end up liking it! (So sorry for the long reply! 😅)

I'm definitely gonna build up to it, I used to hate the Goofy drop but now I'm okay to ride it multiple times in a row, and I'm getting used to radiator springs too, so this one is the last real fear I have in the parks (well, besides guardians. that one's gonna take some time to get to lol). I think what also ruined my first incredicoaster ride was the fact I was freaking out so bad that I was lowkey hyperventilating as I was getting in (I got bad pins and needles in my hands, I felt chills), so if I feel THAT scared again I'll probably just give myself more time :) I'll give an update when the day comes!

We moved away from SoCal in mid-2018 and haven’t had a chance to ride this yet since they changed the theming in the times we’ve visited. But lord knows I rode California Screamin a good 100+ times (without exaggeration). Miss this coaster - and all of the Disneyland Resort - a whole lot!
Now see? Those tunnels are so much better!!! To bad you can still see those sticks on all the jack jacks tho but at least they really tried, they just gotta work on the daytime aspect and it should be goid cause the tunnels look like crap firing the day especially the ending looks stupid but at night it looks really good like it's from the movie

This ride was temporarily closed a handful of times when I went last week. Tried to get on this during the day, but ended up going on it at night before I left the park. I am thankful I was able to experience this at night It just looked so much better than I thought it would.
The problem is, this would be a VERY hard thing to "plus" the character moments INSIDE the tunnels aren't really feasible for animatronics. They'd be nigh impossible to maintain on a regular basis, and I'm GUESSING that they presumed that the speed would make up for the lack of animation. What I'm confused by is the first and last scenes do NOT have animatronics, since those would be presumably, more accessible.
I was on this earlier this week, great ride. At one point the ride stalled the end just before we see giant Jak Jak with Edna. Turns out there is additional dialogue between Mr. and Mrs. Incredible. After Dash says the line "Yea Mom, super babies," Mr. Incredible then adds, "Ok hon no more babies." which Mrs. Incredible responds, "Like you had nothing to do with it."
I love the fact that you can hear the incredibles music while the ride is on! Wish all roller coasters can do that! Riding a roller coaster with music would be more fun! ^^
you people are so insatiable!! this is a great ride. stop finding little things that could’ve been changed or ditched, they did the best they could, and they delivered.
My favorite part about the Incredicoaster is that it's just simple enough that the props could probably easily be removed overnight, and with a simple change in audio it would almost be back to what it should be. To be honest, the props aren't what turns me away, I just miss the HEADBANGING music... That music was a masterpiece that I still listen to on Spotify almost every night... While I cry... and reminisce... and cry...
Oh no, there's plenty of us. I mean, look at the jack-jack's on sticks! The static figures, the lack of at least more screens or any amount of life in the figures...it's all just a mediocre party mask over the old ride. (Violet says so herself in the pre-ride video, lmao)

I think this ride looks quite terrible now. I always wanted to come back to Disney Anaheim and was specifically looking forward to riding California Screamin'. I can still enjoy the ride I guess but I'd have to put on some headphones and listen to some exciting rock music and block out all this badly done childish voice over mess. I like most of Pixar but not the Incredibles at all. I think a Buzz Lightyear roller coaster would have been better and simpler to theme and to understand and thus to enjoy by everyone. Just call it "Infinity and Beyond". But even then I think they should spend way more money on that than what they seemed to have done here. Compared to the Tron motorbike themed ride this is really poor.
I remember going on a trip to California with my grandparents in June of 2019 and the first stop we went to was Disneyland Resort and we went to all 2 parks and we loved it so much and my favorite park was California Adventure and my favorite ride was this the Incredicoaster my grandpa and I went on this ride 4 times while we were there and then we left Disneyland and headed to Hollywood and that was so awesome
People are complaining how they hate the new ride and prefer the Screaming California, but came on it’s the exact same ride, just with a story! I personally, love the ride and can’t wait to get on it!

this was the first ever rollercoaster i went on and i was by myself. it was my first time at Disney and my brother was too scared to ride it but i didn’t want to ruin my experience. i definitely don’t regret it. i love roller coasters now 😭

Great vid as always. Whatever they were trying to do with the Jack Jack figures on top of the Midway Mania roof just doesn't look convincing, even at night. Ideally, they should have enclosed that section of the ride or just left out the unnecessary and generic "X is missing!" plot altogether.
I think California Screamin was better. All those visuals and that noisy music changes the dynamic of the ride from thrill to theme. Also, red paint in the SoCal sun and fog-dry-rain-dry-heat-fog-dry climate is going to fade to pink in only a couple of years. Maybe if they change the theme every few movies it could be "New" again forever. Were it up to me, they could have made it the Disney Princess Pier, with a classic Cinderella ride, or an enchantment-theme ride. Ooh, I would like to see the coaster painted in greens and blues to become Maleficent's Dragon Coaster, with flames in the theming. So many ideas we'll likely never see.
I'll admit, this does look better at night, but it just proves this should've been an indoor coaster. The Jack-Jacks on sticks still look tacky.

Tracey Noce has stated that she wants only practical/physical effects and no video screens. She designed this coaster with old school in mind.

They told us that once world of Color returns screaming and the Ferris wheel would remain open until park closure.

I went on this when I went to California, and I absolutely loved it. Sure there isn’t special effects or anything, I was kinda disappointed with that not gonna lie. But, the ride is really smooth and extremely fun to be on, especially at the beginning. If you don’t like rough rollercoaster rides, I highly recommend going on this.

Family Of Hope Vlogs I hate it because Disney just put in some manikins and said, this is good enough. If they would have taken there time to make animatronics or at the very least make the characters mouth move, I feel like it would be so much better!
You wouldn't really even see the animatronic's movements anyway, since you're going so fast. And besides, having something moving in such a small space could be a danger to riders.

I grew up being petrified of rollercoasters, this was the first one i ever went on at the tender age of 25. it took some convincing and a few beers but I had a blast.

Okay everyone keeps saying it was tacky and a waste of time but it wasn't. For someone who went on it 5 times in one day, it is one of the best rides at disneyland and I'm glad it changed. Sorry if you don't agree but it is an incredible (get it?) change and it's awesome. So why waste your time commenting rude things when you could be saying positive things about it?

Abby Collins I actually watched a behind the scenes on this, specifically in the tunnels when you’re going uphill and at the tilt the track slows down the coaster while the track is simultaneously moving the cart forward during show scenes in the tunnels.

I agree. It looks better @ night, however it's not fully enclosed like Space Mountain. It is much harder to do effects especially at the high rate of speed the coaster travels. More tunnels may have been the answer. A water fall effect like in the Incredibles house etc. There are several other "spots" on the ride that could easily truly make it into an IncrediCoaster.

This is the plain out best ride at DCA, and I was soo scared before going on it because of the big drops… Honestly, it was the most fun ride I had been on the whole week that I was there, I feel like before when I watched the rest of my family on it, I had convinced myself that it was a ride that I would NEVER go on, but after going on it two times in a row, i’m convinced it’s the best ride at DCA and not even space mountain could change my mind. For those of you who are scared, the only advice I have for you is just to go on it! Just do it! Listen, I was literally CRYING before I went on the ride, after I was very excited to go on it again. Great ride to get over your fears of coasters.
I'm here trying to get myself pumped to go on this, I went on it 2 years ago and came off crying & swearing up and down I'd never go on it again!!! But now I'm determined to give it another try because I went on Splash for the first time last year and it was a piece or cake :)
I think my biggest fear is that first drop. When I first went on it it felt like I was dying. Did the drop feeling get easier the second time you went on it? Also was your first ride through the "scariest" one before you really had fun? It's so much harder trying to force myself to ride it a second time after a bad first experience😭

Since I went on it twice, the second time was much better and I felt more comfortable on the ride because I had just been on it, I can’t really tell you any way that you can prevent that feeling of going down a drop, but just try to remind yourself that the Incredicoaster is supposed to be a thrill ride! If you weren’t scared at all, it wouldn’t be fun, right? Don’t force yourself on if you really don’t want to go, but I bet if you went on it again (or I hope!) you will thoroughly enjoy it, but of course, not everyone is the rollercoaster type, I also suggest building up with other rides near or in the park (at DCA and Disney) what I did was I went on the cars ride and then I went on Goofy’s sky school which have very very minor drops, and then if you’re going to Disneyland you could try Space Mountain, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, or Matterhorn Bobsleds, I hope this helps! I was super scared before I went on it, and I had my eyes closed the whole time! Just try it once more and maybe you’ll end up liking it!

I'm definitely gonna build up to it, I used to hate the Goofy drop but now I'm okay to ride it multiple times in a row, and I'm getting used to radiator springs too, so this one is the last real fear I have in the parks (well, besides guardians. that one's gonna take some time to get to lol).
I think what also ruined my first incredicoaster ride was the fact I was freaking out so bad that I was lowkey hyperventilating as I was getting in (I got bad pins and needles in my hands, I felt chills), so if I feel THAT scared again I'll probably just give myself more time :)

Also, I still haven’t even gotten to the Guardians ride either 😅 i don’t know why but I’m completely fine with Tower of Terror which is weird because they’re the same thing! Besides that, try not to worry about it, have fun, and once you’ve been on it, I suggest a Jack-Jack num num cookie from the stand which is right outside the ride. :)

I’ve ridden this once. Now while it does NOT look all that great on video, trust me it’s absolutely thrilling! I’ve only ridden it in the day time, but since I’m going to Disneyland this weekend, I’ll try ridding it at night. It’s going to be even better!

I went on this ride the last time I was at California Adventure, and it was so much fun. It reawakened my love of roller coasters.
Hey, I just realized that this is just “California Screamin’”, but enhanced! It’s the same, only improved!
We moved away from SoCal in mid-2018 and haven’t had a chance to ride this yet since they changed the theming in the times we’ve visited. But lord knows I rode California Screamin a good 100+ times (without exaggeration). Miss this coaster - and all of the Disneyland Resort - a whole lot!
Now see? Those tunnels are so much better!!! To bad you can still see those sticks on all the jack jacks tho but at least they really tried, they just gotta work on the daytime aspect and it should be goid cause the tunnels look like crap firing the day especially the ending looks stupid but at night it looks really good like it's from the movie

This ride was temporarily closed a handful of times when I went last week. Tried to get on this during the day, but ended up going on it at night before I left the park. I am thankful I was able to experience this at night It just looked so much better than I thought it would.

The problem is, this would be a VERY hard thing to "plus" the character moments INSIDE the tunnels aren't really feasible for animatronics. They'd be nigh impossible to maintain on a regular basis, and I'm GUESSING that they presumed that the speed would make up for the lack of animation.
What I'm confused by is the first and last scenes do NOT have animatronics, since those would be presumably, more accessible.

I couldn't ride this enough times. This was so FUN
I was on this earlier this week, great ride. At one point the ride stalled the end just before we see giant Jak Jak with Edna. Turns out there is additional dialogue between Mr. and Mrs. Incredible. After Dash says the line "Yea Mom, super babies,"
Mr. Incredible then adds, "Ok hon no more babies." which Mrs. Incredible responds, "Like you had nothing to do with it."
I love the fact that you can hear the incredibles music while the ride is on! Wish all roller coasters can do that! Riding a roller coaster with music would be more fun! ^^
you people are so insatiable!! this is a great ride. stop finding little things that could’ve been changed or ditched, they did the best they could, and they delivered.
My favorite part about the Incredicoaster is that it's just simple enough that the props could probably easily be removed overnight, and with a simple change in audio it would almost be back to what it should be. To be honest, the props aren't what turns me away, I just miss the HEADBANGING music... That music was a masterpiece that I still listen to on Spotify almost every night... While I cry... and reminisce... and cry...

Oh no, there's plenty of us. I mean, look at the jack-jack's on sticks! The static figures, the lack of at least more screens or any amount of life in the figures...it's all just a mediocre party mask over the old ride. (Violet says so herself in the pre-ride video, lmao)
I didn’t even know there was going to be figures. I guess I’ll just plug in my iPod and listen to the original soundtrack when I ride this from now on...
I think this ride looks quite terrible now. I always wanted to come back to Disney Anaheim and was specifically looking forward to riding California Screamin'. I can still enjoy the ride I guess but I'd have to put on some headphones and listen to some exciting rock music and block out all this badly done childish voice over mess. I like most of Pixar but not the Incredibles at all. I think a Buzz Lightyear roller coaster would have been better and simpler to theme and to understand and thus to enjoy by everyone. Just call it "Infinity and Beyond". But even then I think they should spend way more money on that than what they seemed to have done here. Compared to the Tron motorbike themed ride this is really poor.
To be honest, I preferred California Screamin' over this.

I remember going on a trip to California with my grandparents in June of 2019 and the first stop we went to was Disneyland Resort and we went to all 2 parks and we loved it so much and my favorite park was California Adventure and my favorite ride was this the Incredicoaster my grandpa and I went on this ride 4 times while we were there and then we left Disneyland and headed to Hollywood and that was so awesome
Gotta say looks better at night, but they over hyped this change. Think they could have done better......but this rollercoaster is a blast

Bunstin Bunny I went on the ride recently and the first scene is not a screen it's a room behind glass like haunted mansion.
People are complaining how they hate the new ride and prefer the Screaming California, but came on it’s the exact same ride, just with a story! I personally, love the ride and can’t wait to get on it!
I'm terrified of coasters (chickened out of Seven Dwarfs Mine Train and Big Thunder Mountain last trips to Disney parks - both Paris and Florida), but this one actually looks awesome! Kinda wanna try it!

this was the first ever rollercoaster i went on and i was by myself. it was my first time at Disney and my brother was too scared to ride it but i didn’t want to ruin my experience. i definitely don’t regret it. i love roller coasters now 😭

Still looks like a great coaster, just underwhelming on the Incredibles thematic elements. Doesn't measure up to the films' vibrating colors and dynamic look.

Great vid as always. Whatever they were trying to do with the Jack Jack figures on top of the Midway Mania roof just doesn't look convincing, even at night. Ideally, they should have enclosed that section of the ride or just left out the unnecessary and generic "X is missing!" plot altogether.

I think California Screamin was better. All those visuals and that noisy music changes the dynamic of the ride from thrill to theme. Also, red paint in the SoCal sun and fog-dry-rain-dry-heat-fog-dry climate is going to fade to pink in only a couple of years. Maybe if they change the theme every few movies it could be "New" again forever.
Were it up to me, they could have made it the Disney Princess Pier, with a classic Cinderella ride, or an enchantment-theme ride. Ooh, I would like to see the coaster painted in greens and blues to become Maleficent's Dragon Coaster, with flames in the theming. So many ideas we'll likely never see.
