we practically had to beg yesung for a parallel line's live and he came through in the end 🥺 but he made it absolutely clear to us how difficult a song it is and that he answered our wish because he loved us too much to deny us 😂😭💙
Yesung's voice is half the reason I stayed with Super Junior. It was so unique, that I just couldn't really ever move on to other groups. Eunhyuk and him are definitely my 'biases', but obviously I love the group as a whole, they just work so well together.

Ah finally our queen Parallel Lines!! Thank you for explaining that this song requires a lot of breath work and why Yesung will find it hard to perform often. We can tell this is a high-level tough song but hearing someone who knows how singing works reiterate it makes it understandable to us why he's quite averse to performing this live..
Anything I will say about Yesung's voice is just not enough, if you feel it then you feel it, it's just hard to explain even to myself, he is a unique person in every way and I appreciate that so much.
I just realized that's how I feel! I can go on and on about his voice but it never ends and it's never enough to properly convey it 100%. Even a dissertation wouldn't be enough lol.

one of the reasons why I love Yesung’s voice so much is that he put his emotion into his singing and he make me feel those emotion as well even when I didn’t know what’s the translation to those lyrics.
To be honest I was never into ballad genre before because I couldn’t get a glimpse of emotion from the song. Until I knew Yesung and heard him sing ballad, I was really awestruck at that moment because he can convey the emotion of the song through his singing to the point that I can feel those emotion and that was the turning point for me who hated ballad so much into someone who listen to ballad everyday lol.

I forget how to breathe when I am listening to Yesung singing! I am completely engrossed, enchanted, and hypnotized by his voice. This man is art! The most heart-wrenching, soul-crushing, and emotion-inducing vocal I have ever heard. Cannot be compared to anyone. And if my ad - Parallel Lines is extremely difficult to sing, Yesung is a genius!

KRY are famous for their different tones and voice texture, it's said that Ryeowook sound like spring, D&E sound like summer, Kyuhyun sound like autumn and Yesung sound like Winter. I have a lot to comment about i’ll try to organize my thoughts 😂 :
-Hyukjae indeed was mad , he did dear two during a difficult time in his life .
-kyu more lively songs that I personally like is flying deep in the night and an ost confession is not flashy
-ryeowook’s iconic first solo was the little prince and i’d recommend without you , one and only , sugar , basically all his second album 😂
- yesung’s voice is also my ultimate favorite , for some reason it really touches my buried emotions deep within my heart like no body does, I would listen to him singing any genre , even just his talking voice is something else.
I still feel pain hearing 'Dear Two'. As Jewel, see the other part got fame and love while Eunhyuk got all the hate... Aarrghhh!!!

Dear Two still makes me feel pain. You ask why Eunhyuk is so angry, all I can say is that compared to what he has endured during that time, this kind of anger is already the mildest accusation. But I still love this stage because it reminds me how strong and brave he is to get to where he is today and is proud of it.
Parallel lines is that song that we all needed at least one live performance. We begged and begged for it since the moment it came out. He gave us that live and we are forever grateful.
Once again Hurraira you know exactly what goes through the suju's mind XD. Kyuhyun has told us that he likes analyzing the lyrics to songs and fully understanding the songs and represent the stories better when performing.
Ryeowook's discography is the best! all this songs are great! He does a variety of genres too! "Something Good" is one of my favorites from his 2nd mini album. Oh I also recommend "Foxy Girl" and "그대 Hello" from his 1st mini album.
Hyukjae has such a sweet voice. I love when sings pretty and raps in the same song. "Far away" in the countdown album has such a spectacular chill rap. I recommend that song.

WOOKIE : 'Drunk in the morning' is the song that takes "my most fav song from ryeowook" title from 'The little prince', idk why I feel the sense maturity from this song and I love it so much hearing this kind of sound from him
HYUK : He is just amazing isn't he? Hyuk wrote the lyric of 'Dear two' based on his own life experience, that time he said that the last two years which is 2012-2014 has been his low point of life to the point that he want to just gave up (so many bad thing happen to him that time), I think thats why the way he deliver and those lyric was like a flood of frustrations and he just MAD!
YESUNG : 'Parallel line' is my most fav song from Yesung too, and like you've heard before he don't really like to perform this song bcs its so hard, I think this is the first time he sing it live, thats why we treasured this particular live performance, we don't know when will he perform this song again..we just hope this is not the last 😅
Not a kpop fanatic before.. but Yesung’s cover of The more I love you, that randomly suggested by YT in 2020 brought me to him and to KRY then Super Junior. Still my favorite voice until now.. the unique, deep and emotional voice just really sing his (and my) heart out..

Together is the poppy, upbeat song you want to hear from Kyuhyun. It's part of his Seasons project. The videos for most of his Seasons project are connected and star the same two actors. They form a mini drama that charts the course of a relationship from beginning to end.
I just watched Dear Two performance again yesterday and you gave me this. Guess what? I cried again cuz I cry every time I watch this from him. It extremely hurts to see someone who is always bright like a sunshine turns to be someone who can never fully trust the others. He even wanted to quit the thing that is his biggest dream. It feels so blessed that he's strong enough to gradually leave the trash behind and still walking proudly nowadays. I never feel appreciative of anything than that he has his beloved family, the members and friends who are always by his side all along those hard days.

Dear Two, the song that he wrote himself. I'm glad that he had his friends n fans who trusted him when general public hated him so much that he considered quit from being an idol.
Kyuhyun's "flying deep in the night" is upbeat but with kind of a surprising element. He looks so cheerful/playful singing it live.

Ah I had never made the Ryeowook Michael Jackson connection til you said it!!!! Yes I also heard MJ in DITM! 😲 wow.
I love his Moves Like Jagger performances, love seeing a different side to him. One of my fave performances from him was with Donghae, they covered an SES song and Ryeowook sang it in the original register. It was a really relaxed performance and he had to force one of the notes out which made the rest of SuJu crack up laughing at him. They were also being his back up dancers 😆. I go back and watch it loads cos he's not taking himself seriously, just having fun with his friends. And I love that side to him too 💙.
There isn't too much upbeat solo stuff from them because the whole point of KRY and solo work was so they could also do ballads, while doing the more upbeat songs with SuJu.

I cant thanked you enough for what you have said about yesung voice and his styles of singing. Thank you for being able to see and appreciate his beautiful voice beyond all those technicalities limitation remarks made by others. For mere fans like us who dont understand all the vocal jargons but yesong is able to make us feel the emotions and feelings behind each songs and that's what he does best. For me one might sound good with all the right techniques but esthetic is something you cant learn and it does not have any rules.

Holy moly I haven’t heard Dear Two in YEARS, underrated imo. It was during a time when Hyukjae went through a lot of trouble and stress. hearing it made me remember how the entire internet hated him for 3 years, and the performance is like his frustrations and resistance to it all. I lowkey hope he won’t perform it again, showing that he’s moved beyond the past 🥲🥲🥲

So with your feelings! When I heard ‘Parallel Lines’ the first time on his CD, I pretty much stopped breathing. It’s one of my favorites of his. Then watching him perform this live was…well…safe to say my reaction was similar to yours. He amazes me. Honestly, all the members amaze me in so many ways. Please listen to Yesung’s Beautiful Night mini album. The city pop genre suits him. Oh and you should check out ‘Carpet’ as well. Ryeowook! One of the most unique voices out there I think. Please check out ‘The Little Prince’. Something about that song touches me greatly. Have you checked out his cover of Rossa’s song? (Ah I can’t remember the title right now! 😭) I also just don’t remember if you watched that one yet. If you can, please check out Ryeowook in ‘Sonata of a Flame’ musical. I believe there are some clips out there. I would also suggest some of the many musical clips from Kyuhyun. Those are quite something. We can go on and on and on about these men can’t we? 💙

The thing that makes Eunhyuk solo (Dear two) so powerful, is that in that time he was getting so much hate for a scandal he was involved, he stood there strong and told everyone he won't be taken down. Makes me tear every time i see this performance, I'm really really proud of him
I feel like I should also explain the background and the time period in which Dear Two was performed….it helps explain why he was mad. Around that time Leeteuk went to the military(also a very rough time) and Hyukjae stood in as the leader for Suju. He faced a lot of different pressures due to massive turbulence in SJ’s career and family lives. A certain famous female idol also “accidentally” posted a picture of her with Hyukjae that led to a massive hate campaign against him that went on for at least 3 years. SJ had never been SM’s favorite group, and they are also constantly targets to harassment and lies even now. Hyukjae had to shoulder all the troubles since he was the leader at the time, and it built up a lot of frustration and stress that he tried to convey through his performance.

I love Parallel Lines, perhaps my most fav Yesung's song and now i know some of the reasons why. I love your explanation of the song and how it affects the way Yesung sings it, and he sings it amazingly.
Ryeowook's Drunk in The Morning is a masterpiece. Ugh, i love the song and how he sings it and all his embellishments, and i agree he do reminds me of MJ.
I like how you put Eunhyuk in between KRY 😁 his singing voice is lovely and when he raps fast it's straight on fire.
I feel about Kyuhyun the way you feel about Yesung, and i loove your explanation of him feeling like a conductor! What a great comparison! Like you said, he knows ballads through and through, and love the genre too much i guess 😂 so it's kinda hard to find him singing lighter or more pop-py songs. I suggest Time with You or Flying Deep in The Night for his lighter ballad songs.

I just get so emotional and proud when you compliment and talk about Kyu's voice and remember how he got so close to lose it but thanks to his dad we are able to enjoy his passion and talent. He is not my bias nor bias wrecker in SJ but I'm always astounded at him and Wookie's talent.

Kyuhyun started in musicals circa 2010 so yeah, I think his ability to approach his songs like a story is from his musical experience, no doubt. Lol, yes, I also agree even though he loves to hear himself sing, he's approaching it with a sense of detachment. He's analyzed as artistic narcissistic, so he's very particular about placement of notes, pitch, delivery etc (which is why he's quick to give judgy looks when members miss their lines or go slightly off pitch or off tune, ahahaha)

about hyukjae's dear two it's for his haters, it's about that time when he suffers a lot because of them.. he's under a lot of pressure since he stood as suju's temporary leader while teukie is in the military + something happened that time, people kept throwing hate at him that he thought of quitting being a celebrity.. this is why even tho i love this performance i rarely watch it because it always breaks my heart💔 i really admire hyukkie for choosing to be strong

Hyukjae's "Dear Two" always hits me hard. He wrote that in response to some hardships he was dealing with at the time when he was acting as leader while Jungsoo was in the military... but still, it's an amazing performance! And Yesung's voice is one of the most unique voices in the world! "Parallel Lines" is my favorite song of his, and it always leaves me breathless! So amazing! Kyuhyun started doing musicals starting end of 2010/beginning of 2011-ish with 3 Musketeers, by this time 4-5 different musicals and done quite a few productions of 3 Musketeers. Honestly, if you compare his earlier videos to his later performances, especially his post-enlistment singing, you can really track his change and improvement, it's one of the things I find most impressive about him!
I found your comment about him knowing how to conduct his voice really interesting, because the composer of At Gwanghwamun, Kenzie, talked about working with Kyu to record this song, and how she would ask him to sing a certain way, and he'd almost instantly understand the way she wanted to hear a line sung. And he really can sing the song exactly like the recorded version when he wants 😂
If you want to listen to Kyuhyun sing a REALLY cheerful light song, I'd have to recommend Flying, Deep in the Night (th-cam.com/video/8Q2SrN6J8uc/w-d-xo.html) it's such a sunshiney song, and you can really hear him smiling as he sings ❤Or, for a song that's a bit slower but still allows him to really lean into the brighter parts of his voice, there's also this duet he sang with Lee Moon Sae, Here She Comes (th-cam.com/video/cih1-cphqsI/w-d-xo.html)
