Can the wheels turn or did you also troble with placing the gear part at picture 7 in the manuel?
good question. Mine won't turn freely, and the gear sticks on mine. the front wheels and rear wheels don't turn either, and the ball joint is so tight that it has no free movement.
As it stands now, mine will never run on a layout without modification. I'm not too impressed. No instructions on how to even add the power functions later either.
Hello! I think that to motorize it you have to put a "normal" engine (the one that includes the wheels) and remove the gears. The battery tank would go in the coal pit ... I think I remember that there is no space inside the locomotive boiler to put a small engine.
In order for the wheels to move freely, the breaks must be placed in the same position.
For me, this train is more to expose it than to move it by motor or manually. It is a beautiful train, which can look very handsome on some tracks, with some trees and an old station, like a diorama.

Articulo de baja calidad, no encajan bien la piezas y el montaje es casi imposible montas por un lado y se desmonta por otro insisto locomotora de mala calidad frustrante dinero tirado a la basura una porqueria china .

im getting frustrated looking at how bad some of the details are... but at least its cheap unlike original lego
