The first song is „Blestem” also known as „Cine iubeşte şi lasă” a doina first sung by Maria Tănase. The second one is the Yiddish song „Rumania, Rumania”. The rest is mumbo-jumbo.
Clearly a Yugo made this music. When we Yugoslavs do not know the text, we make these voices. It is hillarious I know, but true. Svaka vam čast, gospodine Bregoviću.
From the movie "Train of Life". Watch it. I saw the first 5 seconds of this and recalled when I first saw this movie in 1999. It is a many layered understanding.

Can anyone tell me about the way the man plays from the beginning till 0:43? Does this technique have a special term or name? Replies in German are welcome too by the way; because ich spriche und verstehe ein bißchen Deutsch as well :P
ok, i found the first song , its from: Taraf de Haidouks - Balada conducatorului . hah, fantastic tune. can be found on youtube and myspace . but in my guess its not played with that horsehair (but funny) , if using your bow not full breadth, but just the angle (gives you anyway more overtones) ,and dropping the tuning into bass sounds very similar . the bowing-technique is called : play-as-you-like-it.
please don't missing the message !!! the whole world must be like this than we can destroy all weapons the guy who plays the violin with one string is a great artist
@R1S9S9R1 I know that he's actually taking the strings apart one strand at a time, seeing as violin strings are several pieces of metal/animal parts wrapped tightly together. I don't know too much about it, but the character is supposed to be a Roma (gypsy), so it might be a method they developed.
Seen the film once. This was no ethnic 'conflict'. In the storyline it was 2 groups (the remnants of one are today seeing History repeat itself) escaping the agents of fascism. This scenario would have happened many times in the past (with music, culture, being compared, ideas swapped, etc) between these peoples, and there's a sense of a continuation of old conversations where they left off. Only seen the DVD on Amazon fr. Wonder if it has english subs..
TeviShow Well,I will.I kinda figured it out.I was just thinking about the NSDAP,enjoying the show and then "Alright,we had enough fun",I didn't mean those two officers.
" berihre jahnit meine kuh, sie´s noch koscher!" - mich haut es jedesmal fast vom stuhl vor lachen. ein wundervoller film.

Irish Jews with the Diddly Die stuff. Hilarious. Probable from the tribe of Dan Haaaaaaa
Did you see the movie? I doubt it
Jews & Gypsies, people of the road ...God always Bless You! Cultures will rise and down but you will be always here :)
Very nice, the Polish peasants, the Romani and the Jewish Ashkenazi all playing together and thus you have the birth of the Klezmer sound.
This is what happens when I browse the internets late at night.
dobrze, że na to wpadłeś, mam nadzieję, że zrozumiałeś ten film. oni po tej imprezie pojechali na śmierć.

The old woman smoking the pipe. that shot lasts one second but it speaks more than a thousand words.

Then you should listen to Taraf de Haidouks!
Having goosebumps when the klezmer kicks in.
Ich finde das Lied ist der Hammer, vor allem des Geräusch der Geige, derren Saite abgezogen wird.
