Listening tonight as I think about a play I was in ten years ago today. I played a bartender from Texas, and bought the costume myself because I knew I would want to wear it again. Two years later I went to a David Lee Murphy concert and wore the costume to the concert. The picture David Lee Murphy and I took together that night is still among my favorites.
my papaw and mamaw listed to this when I was 3 yrs old and man how I would try to dance and sing every word as I got older I would hear this song and say mamaw and papaw told me that this song was a song for people who loved real music then when my mamaw dies I sang it at her funeral and for once I'm my life I felt a smile in my heart and saw a grin on papaws face and papw never smiled
Recently I found out country music was beautiful emotion in the form of music. Not just for offroading and mudding hicks. It's amazing and passionate music. I played this to my dad, when I brought a bottle of Chivas 25 for Easter when I was home. My dad, like most Bulgarians knows nothing about country and he said "weird rock song... it's kinda nice"Then we finished off that bottle XD

The dirt road he is talking about is called black alley I know the exact house he is talking about. I used to live in that house. The cellar is in the coal room downstairs. You open up this wooden door 4 ft above the ground on the wall and it leads under the concrete stairs and porch. I found all of his old bottles out in the garage attic.
