Finding your way without a map for the 50's playlist is genius and fun!

Test Drive unlimited was released about 15+ years ago and I think they did a better version of Oahu. I wish rockstar would do a hawaii themed GTA tho

I liked the driving of crew 2, I'll be disappointed if the new crew game feels like driving in forza.

It feels like a lot like Horizons and the festivals in it, which isn't a bad thing at all. I love that vibe. Makes the in-game world feel very lively and happening.
Coco Hayashi also loves the beta gameplay of THE CREW 3 MOTORFEST. Feels like Forza Horizon 1 again.

This game looks amazing. The fact that we have all the cars from TC2 and more like the Bolide, Revuelto and both the latest Supras is awesome, and the addition of electric cars is really cool (especially that Terzo Millenio 😦). I’m also really glad they’ve kept bikes, boats and planes etc. as I think it was a really cool, unique feature. One of the things that really caught my eye was the classic races, I love the fact that you have to go by photographs and assists are forced off. The map also looks fun and diverse and I hope it’ll be more detailed due to the fact that it’s smaller than TC2s

It was pretty weird they have shown boats in just one scene (right?) and planes nopt even once. I think they also know that most players did not really cared about these in TC2 but yeah, it was a unique feature for sure.

you'll like it, I'm a diehard forza fan and I still enoy the crew 2. This game looks like a huge step up from that though, the planes, boats and motorcycles are also extremely fun to use.

I just played the Closed Beta a little, when I heard Sigma - Crystal Shards during the Lamborghini Playlist sneak peek, I can't believe what I'm hearing!
As a diehard fan of Nijigasaki High School Idol Club, i am ABSOLUTELY looked forward to play THE CREW 3 MOTORFEST! The sound of all the 650 cars and boats in this game are awesome! The Hawaii and Oahu from TDU1 are also awesome! This is MUST BUY AND MUST PLAY!

Well, let's remember that ubisoft is involved, and because of that, it's not gonna be better than FH5, as much as I want it to be. This game was made with the same poor game engine as the previous games, so let's not expect much improvements.

In 2006, Eden Games created Test Drive Unlimited that was a 1:1 recreation of the roads on Oahu. I put dozens of hours into that game and when I was able to visit Hawaii in 2018 I truly felt like I had been there before. I recognized so many distinct roads from my time in the game. Fast forward 17 years after the launch of TDU and we're only able to get a scaled-down version of the same location.
TDU was ahead of its time. Such an fun game with cars and motorcycles.

@@gabrielsobrosa I don't doubt that it will be a great game, but TDU was really something special with its 1:1 roads. It created a charm that's given me an ever-lasting impression of high regard for the game. I'm excited to see that charm return in the next TDU, even though it's a different developer.
Like @DisputedCleric said, it was ahead of its time. It's what companies have said we could look forward to in the future with technological advances. "You'll be able to go to X location like you're really there." We've had those capabilities for some time now (as proven by TDU) and yet still we're being fed "downscaled" and "inspired-by" maps that just lack that special charm. I'm sure the developers will say something like, "Because it gives us design freedom" or some excuse like that, but for me what TDU did has stuck with me as a memorable experience far longer than any other open-world racing map I've experienced.
For those who didnt get to play it already. Its the best game and really adicting. I had it for 6 days and got 50 hours game play. Trust my word. It'll blow your mind

The fact that they brought ATVs into this is more than enough to make me excited for this game. I'm gonna be tearin' up the island when this releases.

Customization is definitely not standard it's much better than it was in TC2 and I'm mostly referring to the fact that you can put your own custom liveries on any car you want that to me is more important than anything in any racing game! Individuality is what sets your car apart from the next guy that matters to me.

Those games don't need an internet connection or any actual online interactions to play since you can go through all of them alone, and yet they won't get rid of that awful requirement.

@@egretfx I mean the comment is actually pretty accurate. It is on Horizon levels for production quality and car list, plus the festival thing which Motorfest actually does better. But it is leaning towards the arcade physics, though not like NFS brake to drift stuff. And the customization is of course closer to NFS than Forza.
Such a great game! I have been waiting for the new The Crew game for a very long time after playing The Crew 2 for so long. It looks great, but my only concern is that the map might be too small. I loved the huge map of The Crew 2 and I loved driving across the map just for fun. I hope that The Crew Motorfest's map will be expanded over time and feature more islands, if that happens I will love this game! I also hope to see a lot of Fords and real world tuning parts and a cool car sound. I would also find it very cool if you can blatantly tune up car similar to Forza Horizon 5, so for example you can put a v12 1000 hp engine in a Ford Fiesta. But I think it's not a very smart idea to take your own cars from TC2 into TCM. I think it will reduce the fun of the game, because if I have the best cars in the game at the beginning, I will have no reason to play the races several times.

Die hard day-1 TDU fan here.
Unlike TDU 2 or TC1, the graphics in these videos look like a direct upgrade to TDU's specific visual style. Definitely brings back some cautious excitement.
Otoh, I see most roads shown so far look way too wide (which proved to be a major turn-off in TC), ensuring All Assists players never have to bother learning where the break pedal button is located on their gamepad and can safely cruise mindlessly at 200 mph for hours on end.
Sorely missing, obviously, is everything that made TDU retain its players long after the campaign was completed, like houses to store cars, paint shops, performance shops, places you could drive to and from, giving a never replicated feeling of immersion in free roam, and, of course, HC mode.
No word on features geared toward cockpit view players to enhance driving immersion so far, at least Jarniou at Nacon is bringing back fan-favorites like rolling windows and immersive cockpit audio (not sure about importing our music in the car radio though). I'm afraid we're exactly the base that Ubisoft couldn't care less about, so I can see us ending up with 2 different games bringing back the best driving experience ever, but in 2 separate, frustrating parts. The state of the driving/racing game market is such that it looks unavoidable to me.

My biggest problem really is, that i allready own 3 games from a certain competitor which pretty much offer the same. What i would have loved, was a similar game but set in Asia, mainly Japan or in central Europe. Hawaii is too similar to Mexico and Australia to interest me.
Mind telling the name of the games tho cus I don’t know about any game which offers cars,bikes,boats,planes,drags,hyper,street,drift,motogp,f1,monster truck,derby racing and a map bigger than any forza game! (I’d still like to know about those 3 games tho)😷🍾

As a Forza fan, I am kind of looking forward to this One, so long as Ubisoft has not overblown the Grind, I think Motorfest is going to *Steamroller* FH5, as this one looks something that FH5 often struggles to be.... *Fun* ! It looks like it will be Fun! Something FH5 often isn't.
Shame about the 12 rating however, I am *not* fond of Profanity, the usual reason for a 12 on a Racing Game, at all, so that 12 is, sadly putting me off a little :(

They will never do forza horizon as well as turn 10. Idk why they aren't making more games about ILLEGAL street racing. I'm tired of car festival games.

We need to see a bit more feel in the landing impacts. And crashes need to not be ignored, they need to be celebrated and witnessed.
A Moterfest would be best with a boosting fury and impacts that let you see slow motion destruction like a MOTERSTORM.

Looks nice, but imagine if instead of Hawaii which was already done by TDU&TDU2, they made a huge Europe map, with Scandinavia, Mediterranean, Alps, Paris, Rome, Autobahn,etc.

It's a no-brainer that there should be a Motorflix event for this game set in a mock "Isla Nublar" as you try to escape hordes of Velociraptors in a heavy rainstorm in the dark of night. A tie-in with Universal Pictures would ensure that Oahu would be honored as having been the main shooting location of the very first Jurassic Park film.
UPDATE: Surprise surprise! It's even alluded to by your handler in the Airplane mission of the Hawaii Scenic Tour playlist. During the flight, he mentions that somewhere in the island became the shooting ground for a famous dinosaur movie 30 years ago. My goodness has it been so long? Jurassic Park 1993.

Crew Motorfest is splendid, at first I didn't agree that ubisoft is releasing a new title, and many confuse it with crew 3, there is no crew 3, this is the Orlando project that was discussed in the leaks 2 years ago, it's a new gameplay experience with the continuity of a new world to explore, in addition to the one in crew 2, basically this new crew engine festival, it's the complete alpha arsenal for crew 2, absolutely flawless this game will go very far, the game it is very well done, but I hope there will be no more mistakes like in The Crew 2, I don't want to experience in this new title cars on the streets that spawn at intervals of 70m, maybe it won't be the case, this not only made me surprised from the first impact, but it has current cars that I wanted in crew 2 and this one has them, it's a new era, we have to pay attention and trust, those from ubisoft, they made a superb game, and a detail on which I honestly appreciate from all points of view, that being that we will be able to transfer the cars from the crew 2 to the crew motorfest, but I don't know all the details about everything that happens with this new title, if a new concept of live summit competition, if we have to make legendary kit again from the beginning, with certain abilities of nitro or money, etc., many of these things are still not very clear, and if we can do this operation too!!
