  • Oh what the heck. This song seems fitting for how dreary and pained the world is feeling right now.
Taken from the live commercial recording made from the audience.

Wonderful Recording! Wonderful Song! I was born in the late fall of 1978. I portrayed Charlie Brown in my Elementary School Play Production of You're A Good Man, Charlie Brwon!

This original conception of this beautiful song - and these performances - with a beautiful piano accompaniment is just the right way to present this song - and the entire show. Unfortunately, when this material becomes "BROADWAY" it loses its charm. What a nice live recording! THANK YOU!!!

I don't know. Here's the actual original version... th-cam.com/video/hBZsWwqO0nc/w-d-xo.html&lc=UgzPn9ngUdNL9ftfkYB4AaABAg.9OGw3cIHacY9PppKrmmRej Of course, it's not flashy or campy.

You are so right. The revival was too glitzy and brassy.

What upsets me most about the Broadway version is that it’s the one people remember now and are making adaptations of now. I wouldn’t mind as much if this was simply an alternate version, but no, they made the revival and there was no going back.
