Thank you for this, super helpful as I'm learning how to orientate the scopes in Lap cases. A seasoned tech told me a helpful concept the other day to help me navigate the light cord. She said to think of the light cord as my flashlight and when using a flashlight you point it at what your looking at so do the same thing with the cord.
I had a difficult time getting my orientation down at first when doing endo vein harvesting. I would tell people it’s like trying to back up a trailer on your car- everything is backwards. I don’t play video games, but there are other things you can do to improve your hand-eye coordination, like woodworking and any of the needle arts (knitting, crocheting, needlepoint, embroidery).
Hey, today was my first day at a new job, and Iv bin out of school for about 7 years. This is my first tech, job and you really helped me out, a lot. Thank you
Hi! I have a question... doesn't scrubing get boring over a long period of time? I'm contemplating whether I should apply for nursing or surg tech. I feel like nursing is more diverse while surg tech's the same thing over and over again. Please correct me if I'm wrong!
Hi I’ve been watching your videos as I’m interested in the surgical technologist field and I wanna ask if it is mandatory to be on call or is it optional?
Hi! Sorry if this has nothing to do with the video but I really searched and couldn't find and answer. I'm studying for surgical tech and I'd like to move to South Korea, but I don't know if the surgical tech even exists in that country. Could you help me with my problem? Thank you. P/D: Your channel is amazing! I'm learning a lot! P/D 2: Sorry for my english.
1/4 of the way through the video I was like.. Hmmm... wonder what surgeons would think of this video, Then In true Shane fashion you came through with Dr. Chung and delivered! 👊🏽. “DON’T HATE”
@@SurgicalTechTips Anyway, thanks for the videos, it really helped me on aseptic preparation cramming. Though your retractor video came out just right after the exam. lmao Answered usage of hohmann wrong :
I LOVE THIS! I'm a gamer and have been all my life. It's one of my favorite hobbies. And I preach this info all of the time with our career! Thank you for sharing this and giving us Gamer CST's credit ❤❤❤🎮 What do you play? Lol
@@SurgicalTechTips I wish I could have gotten in to PC. But I've always been a console, particularly a PS person. I bounce around myself. RPGs, fps but I play souls type games most often. Dark souls series and Bloodborne
@@SurgicalTechTips Bloodborne is awesome. I've platinumed and am NG+5 now. Platinumed DS3 and now also NG+5 on it as well. Souls games are incredibly made! Definitely works the hand/eye coordination

You should try the Trauma Center video game series :D
(note: it's much better than "surgeon simulator"...)
Love to see your videos back in my feed.
Been playing inverted since Modern Warfare 2 by accident, but looks like it’ll help me here!
Are you going to do a Q&A with an anesthesiologist
Yes, yes, and yes.
Surgical Tech Tips when?

Ok I’ve heard this before too. That’s interesting.
it will be also cheaper option than most models
wait... inverted controll is a cancer in PC though :(
Yeah. Inverted mouse control is no good. Should have clarified "controller use".

If I may ask whats your ps4 name?
Me- Mom, I told you games would pay off.
Mom- it better pay the bills.
If you don't play video games, remember It has a swivel point.

I bounce around to different games. Currently going back to destiny 2 on PC 👍 Play most of my games on either PC or PS4 though.

Blood Bourne was my first venture into souls games. My God what a fun game that was.
And here I am on my seventh month of Red Dead Redemption 2...
