Even though Christine is my dream role and I see so many Christines that are very talented, nobody can beat Sierra Boggess. Not even me. Her vibrato is so clear and strong and she really captured the innocence of her character. I love her
It's her SNIFFs for me. Like when taking breaths earlier in the song, she pulls that air through her nose! Insanely endearing & adds emotional gravitas later when she's GASPing with grief!! Staggering, sublime, she is a gift

Phantom of the Opera really made me appreciate musical plays more. We watched this during my English class in 9th grade, and I was probably the only one who was seriously watching this.
There have been many great Christine’s (have been fortunate enough to see many) but what stands apart is the ability of diction as well as musical notes. Sierra is phenomenal at this - have only just returned from singing in a choir and it’s that feature- emphasis the diction- which I try and replicate.

in the long and distinguished history of christines, it's still so incredible that sierra is so clearly the best it's not even close. i would've thought that at the level of leading broadway ladies, they'd all be trained to very nearly the same level, but i guess natural gifts still count for a lot, cuz sierra has a gift even other leading ladies can't match.
Nah, not even close. I like her, but there have been some amazing Christines. Ones that sound straight out of an opera even. Check out the foreign ones too.
