@@CharlesHarrisonMusicTuition I am practicing altered scale all over the fretboard I use interval system to visualise the fretboard no scale shapes what do you think about scale shapes ? And ya I have been practising your chromatic approach exercise that is very good thanks for the pdf again which you gave me and your time is coming on youtube because you are going great ð just post lesson like you always do thanks for all your amazing lessons god bless you man
Very kind of you, Danish! Are you thinking of the Altered scale as a melodic minor or as a scale in it's own right? I find with this one that it is best to try to think of it as its own scale rather than the 7th mode. I think of it as four diminished notes (Root, Half, Whole, Half) and then wholetone notes starting on the third (Whole, Whole, Whole, Whole). So a hybrid of diminished and wholetone if that's clear? Cheers!
@@CharlesHarrisonMusicTuition I have! I've been trying to understand the fundamental application/sound of the diminished veins on V7 chords. This video to me, is right place, right time.
I see, did you check out my "spice up your 2 5 1s" video yet? That discusses this idea further. As do the "Space Age Arpeggio" videos. Hopefully you'll find what you're looking for in those videos! Good luck
Great as always
And I appreciate it as always! How are things going with your playing? Anything in particular you're focusing on? Cheers

Thanks Nubolion! Have you been working on diminished concepts recently? Cheers
