    This is one incredible person. Jonathan Harris, is someone that no one, and I mean not a soul in the world can win over or defeat Jonathan Harris in a debate, or intellectual contest. His cleverness is the key that makes up for not needing a study on any given subject matter that could come up in a contest. He always has a rebuttal.

    What a great interview with a terrific, underated actor!! His Dr. Smith remains one of the great icons from TV. He's exactly as you would expect. Witty, intelligent. Great guy!1

    I must admit I miss these old character actors...even when they are keeping up the appearance in interviews. Very talented and elegant man. They don't sound like Mr. Harris any more...the actors today sound and seem too homogenized that it's boring. Love watching the elder statesmen of theater and tv. Era gone today but remembered by celluloid. Miss U Mr. Harris and your kind. Great vacuum today that can not be filled. "Oh the pain, the pain." lol. Peace me friend. :)

    Great man! I thank you, Jonathan Harris, for developing my interest in the morphology and semantics of English words. As a kid I marvelled at your outrageous outburst and my love affair with the English language began. Vale, my friend...

    What a class act! Love Jonathan Harris. And he was so smart to negotiate residuals from the show. I've talked to the other actors from the show and they've said they receive no money from the show since it originally aired.

    • @gnisnot
      @gnisnot 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      He took less pay up front for those residuals...Wise move..

    Just to politely say that this tv interview with Jonathan Harris was in 1994 and not in 1993. Sadly, I missed seeing him at the Seymour Centre while he was here in Australia at the time and thanks for sharing this precious tv footage of him.

    Yes, his 1.75 hour show in Australia, which I believe he is referring to in this interview was also quite interesting (Never Fear Smith is Here with Jonathan Harris). Spamember01's comment pretty much sums it.

    What a nice man he was ,and to think I hated his character for being such a coward and selfish person.

  • @simonmoves
    @simonmoves 13 ปีที่แล้ว +4

    @Cathie8791 yes -these days the tv creaters dont let characters develop-anybody can pick up anyones script and recite it--all the 60s shows had protaginists and antagonist-one could develop pivotal roles--these days they are more in cgi-fx-and lacking in good storylines--the talent just isnt there--joe flynn was another as well as frank sutton in good solid supporting roles..
