Thx dear teacher for this very interessting case, the patient refused the orthosurgery so you have done the compensation .the patient shoud have been awared for the risque to her periodontium , we see the transparency of roots of lower incisors and canins at the end of treatment. The treatment of open bit as you have explained pass with either extraction, extrusion of ant teeth or intrusion of post teeth or both of them but alsoo the correction of maxillary arch transversally is very very important.
Please doctor i need your afvice. My so 17 years have problem with open bite unfortunatly i can not download photo here 😢 we dont want also ortodant surgary. In case its posible with bracates 😢😢😢
@@YourAgentSarah I wish TH-cam had a chat feature so I could ask you more questions!! I’m so glad this went well for you. I turned down surgery but the tad procedure was also mentioned. Did you have an open bite since childhood or did yours develop as an adult?
Hi prof. Hope you are very well In those cases who need intrusion and retraction of anterior teeth which option is better? 1.intrusion after that retraction 2. retraction after that intrusion 3.both at the same time
Yes, it's a possibility in cases like this, but the maxillary deficiency must be considerer when planning for extractions. In this case I prefer to keep the teeth to avoid further retraction of upper arch.

How long did this take !
I’m 35, I have an open bite and I got braces 11 months ago, wearing elastics since day one, am getting TAD next month just like you did here
TADs are very effective tools to facilitate mechanics. 🙂
How did it go with the tads
@@xoalex15 great! I got my braces off in December!!
