Matt thanks for getting the word out.I am with Denton County HFH and the money from Restore goes toward new homes. We just dedicated our 94th house to a deserving family last week.

As a home owner, the restore is my first choice when possible.

I love shopping at the Restore. The one by my house is not even close to the size of the one your in but there are still great quality finds for very little money and to top it off they often have 50% to 80% off sales on things that's already cheap to begin with. You have to check a few times a week because they change out inventory daily and you never know what your going to find.

Places like this sadly don't sell items at major discounts anymore! We went to the local store were we live looking for interior doors and a bathroom vanity. Well what we found was a used interior door with frame for 100 dollars! The same door brand new at lowes was $105 dollars! Same for a couple of bathroom vanities they had .they were just a few dollars cheaper than brand and when I say a few dollars less I mean like 8 dollars less! Lol! There used to be a time when resale shops, pawn stores, junk yards used to sell at major discounts but sadly those days are over. Kinda pisses me off considering habitat for humanity gets their inventory for free!! Greed has taken over that's for sure....

But when you give money to the big store none of that money goes back into your community. And it just feeds China even more. I see what you’re saying but I’d still rather give my money to those who want to make a difference!

ReStore is great. Recycle materials and help build homes for low income families.

The Restore by me is quite a bit smaller than yours but I've been pleased to pick up quite a few things over the years. My favorite find was a new corner fireplace mantel for a gas fireplace. I had just got a fireplace without a mantel, and most are sold paired so I was thinking I'd have to build one to fit. Do you have any experience with their recycled paint?

Would these types of places have lower prices on framing/structural/skeletal (2x6 studs,4x8 plywood) materials Matt ?

restore where I live is very hit or miss. I got a $300 ceiling fan for $20.
if anybody is looking for gold colored 70's & 80's light fixtures one of the omaha locations is full of them.

They are outrageously expensive. Better to look elsewhere. We have an HIV/AIDS charity nearby who does the same thing and their prices are much more reasonable.

I've been to three in the last few days..I did not see "outrageously expensive" what so ever ? hit or miss & what I did see was dirt cheap..
