Thank you for this video, the article and Robert Hand's booklet. I also came to switch from Placidus to whole sign houses some time ago, mainly because whole sign house system made a huge difference to my own chart which resonated much better with me and my life.
Recently switched to whole sign system as well.I find it much more accurate for my chart.Neptune and Uranus have moved from the 2nd to the 3rd and it all made sense.Saturn which never made sense for me in the 3rd moved to the 4th and had a revelation about my childhood and how it relates to my Moon now being in the 11th.Plus,Mars,Venus and Jupiter in Leo moved from the 9th to the 10 which makes so much more sense.From the way I'm perceived to what I dream of doing in life,my calling and sort of repressed desires.
I always found weird that I had no planet in my 9th house since I love studying so hard and I have gone through three different universities. In the whole sign system urunus moved to my 9th house which makes a lot of sense to me now. I also had saturn in the 10th house and I always wondered why it was there...now it moved to the 11th house which explains the thosound troubles i've had in my life with friends lol
In Placidus system my Leo stellium is in 12th House. In Whole Sign system my Leo stellium is in 1st House (I'm Leo rising). The interpretations make more sense in my experience using Whole Sign House system.

I resonate better with placidus. But I think both are correct. I think people should look and study both!

In plasidus I have moon in first. ..Saturn in second . ...sun and venus in 3th house and so on! In whole sign system my moon is placed in 3th house...Saturn in 4th house..Sun Venus in fifth for example! Whole sign system resonnate more with me! 💜
Yes! If you're born quite far north or south of the equator - as anyone who would be born in Norway is - it will make a BIG difference. Lovely to hear that the whole sign chart resonates more with you too.

Thank you Kelly, having intercepted houses with my north and south node there I feel it's better to keep the advancements and complexities of the modern astrology. For me has been really important and helpful to look at that fact which totally makes sense to me. Another two big placements shifting with whole signs are my moon in Scorpio in the 8th and Mercury in my 7th also so evidently that way either by how I behave and the events and people I tend to attract. I was curious to hear why you and some other astrologers who I follow use this, I'm thinking perhaps Placidus and whole sign could complement for looking at different issues. Saludos from Mexico!
I'm struggling honestly with my chart and sort of can't understand and convince myself to having Sun in 6th house on Whole Signs, having much more connotations meaning of sun in 5th house (placidus or equal houses)
I have sun in the 7th house in the placidus system and in the whole sign one i have it in the 8th which makes total sense to me since I even have a stellium in the 8th house. I never saw the point of my sun in my 7th house, although I do put much in love relationships, now my venus moved to the 7th house haha which fits a lot!!!! Idk which system is most accurate tbh, but definitely having two signs in one single house makes no sense to me whatsoever.

I carry the energy of both houses , so for instance I have Saturn in both 5 and 6 at the same time , plac/WH. Which essentially means I’ll have Saturn in each house for approx 5-6 hrs instead of 2.5-3. It’s a double whammy. I just learned about whole signs and really hoping this just means the shared energy lessens the impact in each of the houses , like 50% less in each, fingers crossed. 80% of my chart is way. 😮😊
Yes! When I discovered whole house system my 12th House taurus moon and jupiter were revealed, things made more sense for me!! Still trying to figure the rest out lol

Hi Kelly! Thank you for this! When using house systems, should it be absolute? One system for all kinds of charts and techniques? I am at the moment dipping my toes into whole sign houses, but a bit hesitant to fully take the plunge. I fear the reorientation period, especially with long term clients whose charts resonate so well with them already. Especially those with 12th house planets moving to the first. How does one start the process? Thank you so much!
That's how I work: one house system for all. I know other astrologers use different house systems for different techniques though.

I just started experimented with whole sign in regards to my own solar return chart, given that I know for certain when specific events in my life and so I can go back and look at old se charts and see. I am seeing way more accuracy!

I know this is an ancient approach but is it more precise than modern calculations? Based on whole sign houses Pluto would have entered my second house in 2008 which would mean I would experience financial troubles. In 2010 I received a generous inheritance from a distant relative I was not close with which was enough for me to pay for college without loans which contradicts the whole sign method. I noticed the quadrant calculations were more precise because based on the orbs as Pluto was leaving my first house and entering my second house in 2015 I suffered a major loss from my investments which was not retrievable so I would say the quadrant was more precise in timing when it comes to transits.
I always liked the idea of whole signs, in that, the houses and signs are two sides of the same coin. Charts are easier to interpret. However, I have found through extensive research and testing, that placidus or another quadrant based system yield better results.
Whole signs ISN'T personal to the individual. 1000's of people would have the same birth chart and this just can't hold merit! Quadrant based systems account for the exact time of birth, down to the Minute!
My chart is much more accurate in quadrant based systems. My whole chart composes of two stelliums - one in capricorn in the 12th (including cap asc), and one scorpio (sun, Mercury, Mars, and pluto) in the 9th! This is whilst using quadrant based system.
In whole signs that cap stellium moves to the 1st and the scorpio stellium, to the 11th. So massive difference to me. 11th and 2st house topics do NOT pertain in any way to who I am as a person. But 9th and 12th house topics really resonate deeply! And describe me much better!
My cap stellium is clearly evident in my chart as I am very spiritual and perhaps withdrawn.
I am not "out there", putting alot of energy into my presentation, my appearance, and being pro active. As a 1st house stellium would indicate.
I am all about finding deeper and higher truths would is indicative of my 9th stellium in scorpio!
I am NOT all about Co-operative behaviours and am not a group ordinated person who focuses on a common goal. Friends and associates are not a factor of importance in my daily.
Iv done the research and tested both my chart, and ones of famiyk members and clients, and quadrant based systems comes out on top!
@@mercurius_exalted yeah my ascendant is on the 29° and with whole sign houses my chart doesn't make sense to me, and I also feel there's a reason why I was born at that time and place and my ascendant is on that degree!
I have an Anaretic degree ascendant. I find the whole house system to make my chart more confusing because my 1st house sign is closing out.
Same. My chart with whole sign houses doesn't make sense at all. I also have my 12th and my 1st houses cusps in the same sign and I find it very accurate.

Aquarius rules my 8th house - In Placidus astrology, my Saturn is in Aquarius in my 7th house apparently. However, in whole signs, Saturn is considered an 8th house placement. What gives?!

My ascendant is on a 29°, so to me using whole sign houses changes everything and I don't relate that much with changing all the planets and signs to the next house, still I feel it is good when the ascendant is not at the last degrees, but these cases seem to be tricky... Any thoughts on this?
The ascendant degree doesn't change when changing house systems, it just sits in a different place inside the house.
Whole sign houses are part of ancient astrology, which uses different techniques to modern astrology - typically it's good to use the house system with those techniques to really get the best interpretation.

But I don't see much about it being used in synastry and composite charts. Do you use them?
I tested them using WSH and I found it really accurate as well! Better than with Placidus.

How about the progressions ! From 7' Pisces rising to 0' Pisces! With equal my sec. Progressions are in the 7e house otherwise they are in my 6e house! Big difference! Thanks Kelly

Thank you for speaking about the Whole House System. Is it possible to consider BOTH houses when a planet or planets fall in one in Placidus and another using the Whole Sign system? An example: I have the Moon, Venus in Mercury in my 9th using Placidus and the same planets in the 10th using the Whole Sign system. Here's an example: I began singing in Church in my twenties (Venus, Mercury, Moon in 9th) and eventually broadened my audience to include many more people (10th house). Your thoughts? Thanks!
I do know some astrologers who do this so it's definitely possible and a strategy that is used. I personally am focussed on the whole sign houses these days but you absolutely can use both.
I used the whole chart system for the first time and it sounds nothing like me while the other one is me to a tee..

Have you ever used equal houses Kelly? It would also always make direct aspects by squares trines etc as it should as per whole sign charts like you described.
In all the charts I have done it seems more accurate, but keep hearing whole sign houses popping up, so I try to use it and it doesn't quite fit.
I there any more information you could share please? I am in a pickle about this lol.

whole sign is less confusing. All that cusp stuff is not for me.
In whole sign some of the planets in certain houses remained the same but some is inaccurate because some planets like Neptune in the 5th house whole sign ain't resonate with me whstsoever and in placidus which is the correct position for Neptune is the 6th house. Ascendant is my Cancer but it is Leo in whole sign, not me at all with Leo. To me whole sign is a waste of time. I will stick to the original placidus.

No whole sign houses won't change the sign placement of anything. The house boundary lines shift and in some charts the house placements of a planet will shift but the sign it's in will be the same.
tbh i dont like that my sun is in 12th house with whole signs. i really would like love nd recognition however seeing it in 12th house turns me so off. with placidus my sun is in 11th house.

There is SO much more to a planet in the 12th house than you might think!
I was happy when I used whole sign houses because my moon became in the first house instead of last degrees of 12th... I do want to believe that but a part me says it's too good to be true lol

Regarding the aspect argument (for example 5th house trine to Asc): the trine aspect is always there in quadrant house system if you consider in mundo placement.
I think the truth could be somewhere in between. I cast charts using cuadrant house system. However, I've seen that sometimes a planet manifests itself both in the cuadrant house as well as in the whole sign house. For example, a planet in the 10th but in the 9th sign from the Asc manifests itself as a mix of both placements.
Whole sign just moved my Virgo stellium from the 7th house to the 8th house. I’ve always been obsessed and struggled with relationships. This 8th house stuff doesn’t make any sense to me.

It doesn't make much of a difference in my personal chart either - but it made a huge difference in many of my clients charts.
Kellys Astrology yes I was really ready for wow and I think the only difference which it made was Jupiter at 29 degrees Libra went from the third to the second . So that feels ok xxx

I searched about the whole sign house system and it said it was very accurate. Then I checked my chart and I was just in confusion! My descendant became Scorpio when it's supposed to be Sag since my ascendant is Gemini..? Also checked my friend's chart using whole signs and her MC is now in the 11th house fron what I know the MC is supposed to be in the 10th. Is it really supposed to be like that since the housing system is different?🤔
Mmm I think something is off here. If your ascendant is in Gemini in every house system your descendant will be in Sagittarius. That's a must. The MC can and will move house placements in both the whole sign and the equal house system so that's absolutely ok to see the MC in the 11th house.
