    Hi Mathew. We are interested in looking for peacock spiders in Perth (northern suburbs). Can you give us a few specific locations where we can try?

      Hi Jordan,
      A reliable spot at the moment is the beach immediately north of Hillarys Boat Harbour. The line of vegetation closest to the ocean.

    What lens did you use for filming those (especially at the beginning of the video, a real high-magnification) clips?

      This is all with the Olympus M.Zuiko 60mm macro lens.

      @@LookCloser Great to know. I use Olympus as well. That macro lens is AMAZING! Hoping to find my first Sydney area Maratus species this spring... :)

    At first glance the adult males can look like iridescent beetles or flies. So you have to keep your eyes open for anything small that moves.

      They are very shiny and colourful but I find that I see them more often by their movement than the colour.
