Did you pre-cool the machine first? Can I use homemade Cashew milk? Or the heavy cream can I use cashew cream? I ask this because I notice that cashews have their natural own oil in it.
Hi Amanda, no we didn't pre-cool the machine. I only kept the insert in the freezer overnight. This is a very important step to achieve a creamy velvety texture. I haven't tried using cashew cream or cashew milk, but I am sure they will work fine! Cashew has its own unique flavor and fat content. The texture may come out differently but I am sure it will be as delicious 😋
Do you mean pre-cool function? Sorry I just haven't tried it yet. Haha. I find it by chilling the mixture overnight helps to reduce the iciness and my gelato turned out very creamy. :) I hope this answers your question. 😆
@@23cherdew thank you for your comment! The written recipe can be found on my website here : www.mrs5cookbookrecipes.com/chocolate-gelato-recipe-you-need/ Hope this helps 😊
If your calling this the recipe, your cheese done slid off your cracker!...you should have said how much of each ingredient is needed...WOW your a winner
Thank you for watching! 😊 I have the ingredients list in the description box as well as a detailed written recipe on my blog. I hope this helps. Cheers. 😆
@@TheDenizification Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts! You're absolutely right-most gelato is milk-based and doesn't include any egg custard. I decided to use eggs here as a natural emulsifier because I love how smooth and creamy the texture becomes with egg custard. I also named this recipe after using the 'gelato function' on the Smart Scoop, which is how I make homemade gelato at home. Thanks again for your feedback-I really appreciate it. 😊

Why not use the precook function? It really saves on time and reduces iciness.

This is ice cream not a gelato. Gelato does not have egg custard base
