My grandma and mom taught me about these tips very long years back (in 70s) before TH-cam exists. Glad to know that these tips have passed to the new generation.
I'll be honest I didn't expect there to be any good tips I hadn't seen before. I'm no expert but have sewed off and on for years. Very impressed with some of these I hadn't considered before, thank you.
Thank You SO Much! These are not only time saving, but also add a beautiful, professional finish to hand-sewn products making them MUCH better than anything mass produced in stores today. Truly lovely!
The paper clip idea is one I wish was on the market years ago. I have had so many problems putting safety pins through fabric over the years. They usually pop open in the process and it's frustrating trying to close them in the material and continue on. Even the plastic pull-throughs in the store are a problem at times. I'm going with your idea on the paper clip and then I won't poke myself with the pin anymore or spend time trying the get it out of the material. Thank you so much!
Agreed, I'd like to know if the point is sewn in the opposite direction of the fabric (meaning on the right side of the penned square) would the raw edge be to the inside instead of the outside. If so, I'd like to see that.
Thanks! It would be especially helpful if you would post a list of tips shown and their starting point in the video. So many; I cannot keep them straight.

I’ve not seen the tube turning trick before. Very useful - as I make tote bags with handles for charity and your pull-through-as-you-sew method saves time. Thank you for that!
I may have commented on this video before, but, all these tips are very useful - specially the one where you place the measuring tape on your machine to create a "fabric guide." But, I would need to place it closer to the needle area, myself. TYSM for sharing this video with us.
Thanks for these tips, I am going to use the tape measure one, next time I hem pants to get the turn over accurate. I do have measurements on the needle plate but they are a bit small for older eyes to see.
My favorite ones was the paperclip tricks and the neckband how you sew two pieces of fabric together and all you did was turning inside out that makes a beautiful neckline I like that both of those tricks do you use for neck lines for the bodice is really really nice
That tube turning trick is brilliant!
