Only slow trains stop at bentota .express trains stop only at main stations . That flag on the side of the railway line was budhist flag. Bentota has one of the best beaches in Sri Lanka 🇱🇰. Mostly very upmarket tourist and tuor groups comes to this area. Mostly for sea sun and relaxation. Many best star class upmarket hotels are in this area.few back packers. Because things are a bit expensive here.
Even during tsunami 2004 former German chancellor Helmut kholl was in this area holidaying. That will give you an idea of the area. 😊

Bentota is very nice. In other touristic places prices are similar like in Bentota restaurants, and in Taj resort restaurant, but in Bentota the quality was better. So, I would say - yes it’s more expensive, but good quality

Una has speedy gonzalez walk hehe. an overcast day really doesnt do bentota or its beach any justice...luks real nice on sunny day.

There are normal trains and also express trains. Express trains only stop at selected stations.
