Yesterday i was thinking about writing a recommendation for you under one of your newest uploads, to watch their comeback and here i find the video. I am positive surprised by the hidden Kard fandom. It must have grown a lot, which makes me very happy as a part time fan ;) KARD has lots of international fans but they still aren't that popular in South Korea. Unfortunately. So yes i can only recomment you all their songs because they are amazing and i really would love to look forward to another reaction video. KARD is pretty much the only current co-ed group in Korea right now. They were first formed in 2016 by DSP Media and consists of two male and two female members: male members are BM (real tall blond guy: lead rapper and main dancer) and J. Seph (brown haired guy; main rapper and lead dancer) and female members are Jiwoo (white haired girl; main dancer and lead vocalist) and Somin (pink haired girl; lead dancer, main vocal, and visual). They are most well known for being very different in music style than the mainstream kpop, and they have more of a Western style. Most people are not a huge fan of that style at least in Korea but they have a big international presence and have a lot of international fans. They debuted with a song called Oh NaNa (which you should react to) in 2016. That song, Rumor, Don't Recall, You in Me, Bomb Bomb, Ride on the Wind re songs you need to react from KARD. I think that co-ed groups bring such a unique flare to the mainstream kpop industry, because you get to see the charms and talents of both genders, and KARD I think pulls it off extremely well. Most Koreans do not want co-ed groups because it is likely that the members would be involved in maybe like a dating scandal (from what I hear). They both have talented rapper and vocalists, and you get to see what each member brings to the table. BM and J. Seph really bring a true hip hop vibe to the group (they were actually supposed to form a hip hop duo before KARD happened) and Jiwoo and Somin both have unique vocals that I can't really describe but are extremely good. If you hear them live, they are not lip-syncing at all, and very few groups do that these days.
The reason people are going crazy about this comeback in particular is bc KARD had a very distinct house/summer vibe style in their title track discography and this is the comeback for their American(?) tour.

In a way, KARD have so far normalized the idea a little bit, so it's possible that we get other major Co-Ed groups in the future.

The ladies of KARD performed Super Junior’s Lo Siento with Suju in Korea. Lo Siento features a Latin American Spanish-speaking artist named Leslie Grace - so when they came to perform it on Korean music shows, KARD helped out and sang Leslie Grace’s parts in Korean! The performances are really cool. I recommend, obvs, Lo Siento, and KARD’s Oh Na Na. Keep it up Ben!
KARD is under DSP Media which was home to the legend group KARA. So after KARA DSP Media had couple boy and girl groups that didn´t hit the top and demand of coed group (boys and girls together) started to be questioned in kpop community, DSP Media did tease KARD for an 6 months or 1 year and it was talked that maybe KARA´s last member Youngji would be in the group. In the end Youngji wasn´t in the group, but was in their Debut or was it predebut mv Oh Na Na. So KARD got so much attention from Kamilia (KARA´s fandom) and other kpoppers, who haven´t seen coed group ever or in several years. KARD is pretty much the only current co-ed group in Korea right now. They were first formed in 2016 by DSP Media and consists of two male and two female members: male members are BM (real tall blond guy: lead rapper and main dancer) and J. Seph (brown haired guy; main rapper and lead dancer) and female members are Jiwoo (white haired girl; main dancer and lead vocalist) and Somin (pink haired girl; lead dancer, main vocal, and visual). They are most well known for being very different in music style than the mainstream kpop, and they have more of a Western style. Most people are not a huge fan of that style at least in Korea but they have a big international presence and have a lot of international fans. They debuted with a song called Oh NaNa (which you should react to) in 2016. That song, Rumor, Don't Recall, You in Me, Bomb Bomb, Ride on the Wind re songs you need to react from KARD.
I think that co-ed groups bring such a unique flare to the mainstream kpop industry, because you get to see the charms and talents of both genders, and KARD I think pulls it off extremely well. Most Koreans do not want co-ed groups because it is likely that the members would be involved in maybe like a dating scandal (from what I hear). They both have talented rapper and vocalists, and you get to see what each member brings to the table. BM and J. Seph really bring a true hip hop vibe to the group (they were actually supposed to form a hip hop duo before KARD happened) and Jiwoo and Somin both have unique vocals that I can't really describe but are extremely good. If you hear them live, they are not lip-syncing at all, and very few groups do that these days.
The reason people are going crazy about this comeback in particular is bc KARD had a very distinct house/summer vibe style in their title track discography and this is the comeback for their American(?) tour.

Unfortunately, there is a stigma around Co-Ed groups in K-pop. People believe that the groups are prone to scandals, or that it's just generally weird for them to be close colleagues. KARD have expressed themselves around this topic, saying that they're very professional, work together as a team, and see each other as friends/siblings. In a way, KARD have so far normalized the idea a little bit, so it's possible that we get other major Co-Ed groups in the future.

The ladies of KARD performed Super Junior’s Lo Siento with Suju in Korea. Lo Siento features a Latin American Spanish-speaking artist named Leslie Grace - so when they came to perform it on Korean music shows, KARD helped out and sang Leslie Grace’s parts in Korean! The performances are really cool. I recommend, obvs, Lo Siento, and KARD’s Oh Na Na. Keep it up Ben!
There has been coed groups before but never got popular/recognition. KARD is the only thriving coed group and is doing super well.

I love Kard so much! I don't know why people sleep on them! They truly deserve so much more attention, and yes they are the only coed group in kpop!
KARD is under DSP Media which was home to the legend group KARA. So after KARA DSP Media had couple boy and girl groups that didn´t hit the top and demand of coed group (boys and girls together) started to be questioned in kpop community, DSP Media did tease KARD for an 6 months or 1 year and it was talked that maybe KARA´s last member Youngji would be in the group. In the end Youngji wasn´t in the group, but was in their Debut or was it predebut mv Oh Na Na. So KARD got so much attention from Kamilia (KARA´s fandom) and other kpoppers, who haven´t seen coed group ever or in several years. There have been couple coed groups, but they never did not hit big.

But they don't have so much success in Korea unfortunately because you may know that Korean girls groups have a lot of male fans, and Korean boys groups have a lot of female fans...
i think that only a "mature" audience who doesn't care about who is dating who are listening to them.
Also many people said that their previous songs sounded the same because they kinda had a tropical style and that they didn't change their concept. But the concept is really liked by the south american audience. KARD have a lot of success in South America. I personally don't think that the songs sounded the same, but yes that's the same style. It's like David Guetta doing Electro. Lol! The music sounds the same but it's not the same. I don't know if you see what i mean lol. The tall guy with red hair at 2:08 is BM, also known as Matthew, Big Matthew, Tiddie Man, he's also president of the Big Tiddie Squad Commitie. Love BM, hes my bias (yes, it is possible lol), he does vlives and they are awesome. BM is the main dancer, he comes up with some amazing choreography, he shares a lot of it on his IG account and that, he also loves to produce songs and he is so good at it. Hes also lead rapper and vocalist. He's card name is King. He's actually from L.A. His mum designs cloths and recentlyhe went into a collab with her to release a clothing brand called Staydium which was only just done. He is also a fan of Monsta X but his favourite kpop groups are Day6 and Super Junior. He's fluent in English and Korean, he learned Korean, with the help of J.Seph, after he moved to Korea and joined DSP. He trained for 4 and a half years before debuting. His mum is also fluent in Spanish so he knows some Spanish as well.
Jiwoo is the gorgeous girl at 1:40. She does vlives as well. She is the main dancer, lead vocalist and rapper, she's also the Maknae (youngest). Her card name is the Colour Joker. She was a trainee of FNC for 5 years before leaving and joining DSP and was only a trainee for 2 months before debuting.
Somin is the girl at 2:40, she is the main vocalist and visual of the group. Her card name is Black Joker. Originally she debut with a girl group called Puretty,a japanese girl grpup of DSP, but they disbanded in 2014, she then debhted with girl group APRIL in August 2015 as the leader, in the same company but left in November the same year as wanted to try different music, she was then assigned to Kard. She can play instruments, piano, violin and the ocarina, last one I'm slightly jealous of due to Legend of Zelda envy lol. She also does vlives, all of the memebrs actually do.
And J.Seph is the guy at 3:02 he is a rapper as well, same as BM but is the main rapper, as well as vocalist and lead dancer. He's card name is Ace, him and BM were actually meant to debut as a hip-hop duo but their company changed plans and put them in a co-ed group with Somin and Jiwoo and became Kard. J.Seph is actually pretty funny, and makes a lot of jokes. He does speak some English as well but is not fluent.
