Thanks Jacob, much respect for the attention to detail and explaining every thing you do for the company. I recently bought a Pacesetter 212 flatbed from Friday Trailer sales in Texarkana and it is the best trailer money can buy i feel like for that type of trailer. Keep up the good videos like this, we are watching!
if the spindle was a press fit into the tube it would not be as important, but you can see that there was a gap between the spindle and the inside of the tube without the plug weld they would be constant stress on the weld and due to fatigue the weld would crack. if you noticed they are positioned top and bottom in relation to the spring seat this spreads the holding load without them the axle will fail in time

Interesting that engineering is located elsewhere besides the manufacturing plant?
I have this idea for a brake lining wear sensor indicator. Also, a pawl system to lock the hub as an anti-theft device.
Send your idea over to feedback@diamondc.com we would love to hear it! 😎
Just purchased a 2025 fmax212. I was wondering what you guys recommend for sealing pine deck?
I use Apitong oil. It’s been on my fmax 212 pine deck for 3 years.
The deck is in great shape.
Any water-based sealant will work, such as Thompson's Water Seal
I don't understand the significance of the added plug weld.

@@martinman1970I didn't catch the detail first time viewing about there also being one on the other side too.
Why powder coat before installing the spindles?
Now you have unpainted/coated welds
