I think counter would be good, where if they hit during counter, you will appear behind them like Toji did to Gojo with inverted spear and stab them, but idk if it'll be good and not goofy or unbalanced
maybe the ult move sharpen could be a counter which then makes the enemy that hit the counter jump in the air only to be stopped midair by someone on ur friends list and then you do the thing toji did to dagon
Since mahito needs to land a black flash to get his ultimate, I think it would be cool for toji to get his ult when he use it near a domain like the shadow swarm variant then the speech bubble comes out.
Then when he does that it will make a cuts cent of him coming inside and everyone in the domain will see the cutscene and durin the cutscene it will show his speech bubble
i think he should honestly have a combo move like gojo/yuji similar to rapid punch or cursed strike. this could easily be implemented as the combo he did with the I.S.H to kill gojo in season 2 with it ending in a unique down smash knockback where unlike gojo or yuji it doesn't launch the victim instead slamming them straight down much like a down smash M1 move. or with playful cloud Ult just make it a jump move that can only be used midair like yuji's dropkick, and can only be used after sharpening, that if landed attaches the user's character onto the victim's model leading into a short face stab combo like what he did with dagon, that after completed finishes with a jump off animation into a backflip that knocks over the target. Toji could also have a mahito esk R in base form that switches from the soul split katana with it's own move sets, to the I.S.H with it's own move sets.
I hope they add 2 Toji's Normal Toji and Ghost Toji🔥imagine Dropkicking people in servers and using playful cloud speed blitz like how he did to Dagon💀🔥🗣️
They should make Toji's ghost mode have the menacing stance he did vs Megumi as his idle and have his ult have superspeed since bro literally teleports as his main way of speed transportation
overall moveset is nice,he originally is a grappler/zoner with a lot of combo potential and his awakening is more so to deal with multiple people at once,knowing how fast the moves are

The R special should be using the inventory curse to change the weapon that would then change your moves from the two versions of the inverted spear (chain and normal) and the split soul katana this allows more moves since pressing R will change your moves based on the weapon your using
His domain should be only activated when he pulls out his knife from the worm and destroy the domain, when activated a cutscene will occur and everyone within the domain can see it and the domain will get destroyed activating and giving you ult, but if you activate it outside a domain, anyone near you gets damaged
For his awakening I would call it “heavenly restriction” his r move should be able to take the weapons out like playful cloud spilt soul katana and the inverted spear of heaven and depending on which one he has he should have a different move set when he awakens. In season two he uses a domain breaker, so when he pressing r and switching to the spear of heaven and pressing 3 he can brake the domain or shorten the time in a domain

Yea i think the lack of it is good, domains are supposed to be insta deaths (hakari not included) it makes fighting ulted players more exilirating and more acurate to the average sorcerer vs a domain
