When you go to your antique markets you could maybe get an old typewriter that would be cool for writing in journals. I have my dads which is about 50 years old. Your books are beautiful very creative another fab demonstration. Our markets are starting back next week we also once a month have a vintage market.xx

Rachel I must say I’m enjoying this challenge, I’m glad to be over sewing(I hope) for a while. I know it’s silly but it was really stressing me out. Your collage was just beautiful, so pretty. I have some lovely doilies but my printer is out of action and I’ve promised myself only to use what I have at the moment so had fun with the limited ones I already had printed. I thank you, Sarah and all the others for helping us through this difficult time. Australia has lessened its restrictions but I’m still a little nervous around other people. We’re going bush this weekend, beside a river which around the corner runs into the sea. We’ve missed being in our caravan. Lovely to hear Lulu again. 👋🏻💐💐💐💐

I do so enjoy all of your stories as well as your journals. I am trying to get all of Sarah’s doily kits one at a time, lol. They are so versatile. My husband and I just laughed when you were telling the stories about the car. We have been married 42yrs and have never had a car payment because he’s a mechanic and doesn’t really like the prices they want and how they depreciate as you drive them from the new car lot. Lol! Thank you for sharing all your creativeness! 🥰
You are a lucky woman -- my father was a master carpenter and jack of all trades, so I grew up and went to college and worked in the law for nearly 30 years and just marvel when these lawyers don't know how to use a screwdriver -- I bought a Mazda suv, which was a really large expenditure, but I was moving to a rural area after my son graduated from high school, and he wanted to stay in the city -- so a few months later, one of the spark plugs fouled out, and so I took it in, and almost died right there when they told me it was $600 to change the spark plugs -- spark plug -- two bucks -- labor 598 -- they built the engine so you have to take out half of it to change the spark plugs, and you have to have special tools so you can't do it at home -- one of the worst mistakes of my life buying that car -- I did not keep it long -- don't tell your husband this story, or else he'll go on more than me -- ha -- be well, Patricia

Isn’t it worrying now that we’re allowed to venture out. We have had minimal cases in South Australia and none in our town but I still don’t like venturing too far.

small PS: How did you like the Ailene's tacky glue? It is my favorite go-to glue -- a large bottle costs $1.27 with free prime next-day or two-day delivery -- one little tip, if I'm going to use it to cover a large surface (not just a dot or two to hold on fabric), or even a smaller piece like printed on card stock -- I use a glue stick on the back first, and then put down the ailene's -- the glue stick acts as a surfactant, so the tacky glue glides right on and easy finger smear -- you can use less and it holds great !!! I do not use it to hold down a large surface/piece of fabric -- I usually just glue-stick it -- or temp spray glue if it's handy -- then sew it on -- And again, it is the exact same molecules/chemistry as your russian pva glue, they've just taken the water out, or added a chemical that does that which makes it a little more tacky and dries a bit faster -- Elmer's used to make the best pva glue, but they've changed their formula (added more water) and now it sucks, so I switched to the ailene's --

Christmas seems like the end of the world’s ‘innocence ‘ now. Ugh. Snap out of it, Caron! Sarah’s naming of the fairies made a smile turn into a grin . You two are such a great complement to each other . These tags are beautiful and really come alive with the ruffles. I’ll be interested to see what you do with them.

Your masterboard with Srah's lace and doilies, embroidery, etc. is gorgeous! Love what you are doing with the pieces! Here in my state of Michigan, the governor is getting a lot of heat because she is opening up the state slowly and she can't get a judge to support her against a barber who opened up for business a few weeks back even though not allowed yet. If people here had to pay a fine for not social distancing and wearing a mask they would protest even more. That's probably what should happen here so that people will take this pandemic seriously. You don't have to respond, I know you're busy and I write too much -- but the thumbnail on these is just gorgeous -- at first I thought they were real cloth doilies the quality is so nice -- you did a beautiful job, per usual !! I don't want to know about Sarah's doily, fabric collections -- I already drool too much over yours -- ha -- but I am convinced the universe puts these precious materials into the hands of those who will use them best -- I have mine all nice and hand washed and ironed and folded just so .... IN A BOX -- doing no one not one utterly piece of good -- and that was way pre-packing to move into a new place we don't have -- And if God intervenes -- it will take Heavenly intervention at this point -- and we find a place, I have absolutely vowed to stop my awful "can't use it hoarding ways" and am going to either use them or sell them -- next time you cut and someone gives you grief, please KNOW you ARE doing the right thing using and sharing your treasures, even if it's just a clip here and there -- you always clip off the best bits and make lovely, beautiful, wonderful things -- it's why we all love you so much !!!! I have also come to realize you are right about using your antique books -- the 1700's ones do give me pause, I'm not going to lie -- but what's the alternative -- your country is much older than ours, so books from the 1800s are not the rare treasures they are here -- I have zero trouble cutting up mass produced books -- I buy the early Patricia Cornwell books because the pages are aged now and the paper quality is very high, and you can use the covers; you just have to ensure there are no bad words, but I use them as filler for tags and sew writing paper on the backs -- the paper quality on stephen king's "the dome" is very great, too and it's 600 pages, if you see that in a thrift store cheap, snap it up !! -- but what's the alternative -- I'm talking like novels, etc. -- not rare treatises -- they sit on a shelf and the paper disintegrates and gets moldy -- or -- you use it and give it a second life -- and you get so much joy using those pages -- you always say what great quality they are, even more than 100 yrs. later -- and the person who receives them cherishes them -- including when you put full 1700's-era pages in the journal -- again, don't respond -- didn't mean to go on so -- just sending you some crafting love ....
Love it as always, your collage work always has me inspired, its so beautiful and your so good at it and I could just sit and listen to you all day, you make me giggle when you say ‘I’m just being silly today’ 😁and love how you always chat and include Lulu in your videos and crafting, it was cute when you was trying to get her to take more money and she was like no this should be enough, how responsible is she for her age, bless her💕
