I like how Rhy's is the exact opposite of what Handsome Jack was. Unlike the city of Opportunity, the city of Promethia is an actual safe haven for people to begin anew. It serves as Rhys' attempt to modernize Pandora and make it less dangerous for its inhabitants. Pandora having such a thing as schools is something no one ever expected to even exist on this harsh planet.
Such as? He is a weapons manufacturer, so he makes weapons. Anu keeps freeing Jabbers, and failed to show progress while also losing billions worth of company property... So he fired her. What bad and inhuman things has Rys done that are comparable to Handsome Jack? He was barely in this game and and he didn't do much of anything in BL3, aside from grow a mustache.
Fr this is the most uninteresting character development of any borderlands, the first 2 minutes of borderlands 3 had better character development than this garbage I can't believe they thought releasing something like this would be acceptable by any means.
I'm not against making minority characters but poor animations and voice acting that sounds like everybody is depressed or bored. I mean cmon I was exicted.

As a powerchair user, Fran gives me LIFE. I want her hoverchair. Bit annoyed about the ending, but still the fact she's a character that isn't some tragic poor cripple for everyone to defend in a world where everyone seems to have a robotic arm or eye is pretty cool. L0U13 as a dapper assassin-bot was awesome too. His 'For shame' with such disappointment in his voice took me out.
Octavio is starting to grow on me, Fran is literally me (yeah lets go for the action!), and Anu is just the balance that ties everything. So far they're alright. L0U13 is charming, and so is Rhys, as always.
Won't lie, kinda stings how they've reinforced Rhys and Sasha as the end game couple, when the first game gave us the choice. Basically saying our choices didn't matter. Seeing Fiona in the end though, it's only a drawing but I feel very emotional seeing her again. I've missed her.
@@hsd287 It's just weird to have it be the players choice, only to prove that the whole idea of choosing who he liked didn't matter. No point giving players freedom to choose if you're just gonna give them the middle finger and do what you wanted from the start.
This story just feels like a line of events loosely strung together. There’s no true conflict at all even though Tediore is knocking on their *dore* and I’m not sure what the point of all this is. Also, I’m not happy they scrapped the whole siren thing. I’d rather have them explore that than some stupid healing gun, but we did get some funny scenes out of that. Speaking of funny scenes, I feel like that’s the only thing this has got going for. As some scenes made me laugh quite a bit. I guess this is one of those things you can enjoy "Ironically."
All I can say is that I was watching this in bed and this games writing literally let me sleep for a nice 7 hours. I drempt I was playing on my old PS2. Was a nice dream.
The story is honestly pretty shite, but the characters are pretty lovable regardless. Would love to see (most of) them back in an actually good game. Thanks for uploading!
Respect your opinion for any that like this game, and all the more for you to enjoy it. This simply could have been much better, I can't even say the writing is okay. I like Anu, Fran is a mixed bag, and Octavio... eh. But I see what they did with the dynamic, but there were SO MANY THINGS that they didn't allow to flourish with the opportunities given, things that the first tales absolutely nailed! I mean heck, what was the point of even introducing us to Octavio's friends, or what TIMM-E stated in some of his moments, or Octavio mentioning Paco would kill him yet had a friendly encounter when the only other time they met following it was a music scene and they were still friendly with each other. I'm just saying, in my opinion, for this game- TALES from the borderlands, the writing is what makes it, and at least Boarderlands 3 had the rest of the gameplay to fall back on.
The whole sequence of her making the frogurt for that random customer... The dialogue, the faces, the character movements, how the fuck did that get past everyone's desk with an approval stamp? 🤣 It's 'The Room' levels of awkward and bad.
L0U13 was really the only part of this that was all that good. Sure, it had its moments, it was okay, but I think L0U13 was the only part that's particularly good and memorable.
I've never said this to any video game video I've ever watched and I'm saying this for the first time, this is the stupidest game I've ever seen or watched in my life. I regrettably sat through this horse shit for the whole full play through because I am a borderlands fan and hugely enjoyed watching/playing the first Tales game. This however… it’s like the storyline writers purposely tried to make the most cringeworthy, random, forced humor, political agenda pushing piece of shit they could possibly think of. NOTHING about this game even resembles the borderlands style/theme we all have come to love. Somehow most of the original characters in this game made AVA look like a decently written character. Unbelievably there are a few scenes in this game which are actually good and make you believe will lead up to a much cooler, more interesting plot.. but then that whole plot is either destroyed by “forced humor” or just dumped and dropped completely never to be brought up ever again, and this occurs over and over again at least 10 times until the dumpster fire that is this game is finally over.. all in all shout-out to gamers little playground for biting the bullet on this one and saving us all the time and money of buying this abomination
I now a bit astonished how strong are Vault Hunters. We saw guardians only in TPS and BL3, but seeing how here they throw all those tediore soldiers like toys is crazy. And we as Vault Hunters killing them, like there is no problem at all.
So while I can agree that this second game is missing some of that “classic tell tale” feel that made the first So distinct. I think this game is alright though by telltale standards or middle of the road. Character dynamics seem fleshed out but not the characters themselves aside from stapleface and Louie. especially given its using 3s canon which is a handicap as it is. Still could have been better but not garbage. To the people complaining about wokism and agendas…seriously grow up the borderlands franchise has struggled to find its footing ever since handsome jack got the AX in 2 as he very much was the life of the party and an iconic villain. If you don’t like the newer games there’s nothing wrong with that but don’t blame it on culture war bs the franchise has enough problems.
New Tales From the borderlands was not what I was expecting from this new game. I was expecting to see more of rhys, fiona, and sasha, while also answering questions that were left unanswered from 3, and the last tales game. Obviously knowing my questions aren’t answered still leaves a little upset, but it doesnt keep me from liking this story, and the characters, each of them had great character development, and the story brings more questions and sets up the entry of borderlands 4.
My guy they literally just made Frans name as fran so that they could throw in an "Onlyfrans" bit that alone should tell you how woke and garbage this game is

It's said you can't please everyone, but a great many fans of past Borderlands games are extremely disappointed with this instalment. While it isn't on par with Telltale’s original, I found to be amusing & interesting at times, enough to watch the entire play-through.
Everything before the 4hr-5hr was bearable. I thought it couldn’t get any worse. Then the end came and it was the worst. This was a joke and not a good one. The writing of this was terrible. I hated the characters in this. This went against the reason we all like borderlands. For the guns, killing, and bloodplosions! Thats why LOU13 was the only good character in this. He was the only character that felt like a actual borderlands character from the future. To write a story about making weapons that are none lethal it’s like the creators have forgotten what makes borderlands a loved series.
Started off pretty good, went downhill at about the halfway point, then really plummeted towards the end. What was that final boss scene at the end. I don't think I would find it humorous even if I was ten years old. First one was way better.
I avoided this game because of the negative opinions but when i gave it a chance I actually loved it, it’s fun to play and there were plenty of funny moments it has an awkward comedy and each character have their unique personality even tho it took me time to get used to anu but this game ain’t bad at all

The comments on this game compared to the originals full play through is funny. The 2014 one was all positive like “this was a great game” this ones comments are full of “this is shit writing” and I agree with everyone who says all of this

I cant believe they made this game and thought this pile of garbage was good enough to release. It started out good then gradually decended to trash but then at the end did an absolute nose dive into the trash heap it is. Couldnt say i cared when stapleface or louise died. Louise never really anything or even contributed in the slightest. frans plot armor is bs. Octavio has had zero character development and is still the same materialistic dumbass from the start, and anu got worse in her development. I could go on and on about the amount of issue i have with this pile.
I thought the music choices themselves were OK, it's more that they didn't enhance the events on-screen. In the original Tales, it's like the music was being used as a framing device. The scenes those played over felt like a music video, but also like they were showing you what the characters were thinking.

I remember reading a Steam review that said to watch a video of this game and not play it. After watching all of this, I can confirm that was the right call. This game had such a bad story, and the humor is WAY too often and forced at times. Fran and Lou13 were the only characters I'd actually like to see more of in future Borderlands games.
One of the worst things I've ever watched. 50% of the dialogues are cringe. Character have some really forced diversity, in exchange for depth, development, or any likeable characteristics. Worst of all is the strange mid-fight dialogues. Would you dance when your friends are being shot at? Thank you GLP for suffering through this.
Personally I like the look of the game. Sure others have complained about it. It's fine to have opinions. After all games aren't easy to make. But to be honest I loved the minigames I loved the references and I loved the new characters and they're interactions. Currently my favorite characters in this game are Rhys (Favorite charater is back!) Stapleface cause while she's a Psycho she's a Unique Psycho. Like Krieg in a way. And Fran cause she's my favorite out of the 3 playable charaters She's great with her Business and is able to handle herself with conflict! Sure it's not perfect but it's a nice Borderlands game and I hope to see some of these charaters return to Borderlands 4
FALLOUT AND BORDERLANDS developers should make a game for Fallout and use the animated characters. And integrate the animation and fully explorable wasteland. Would be great for a FALLOUT game. This what I wished they do for PLAYSTATION 6 big name developers working together on their titles vice versa. Imagine what the game would look?
To begin with, thank you for having done this walkthrough. I've been watching for 1 hour and I won't go any farther. Borderlands 1 was good, at least the gameplay was awesome at that time. Borderlands 2 was one of the best game I've ever played, with one of the best villain that i've ever seen. Tales from the borderlands introduced nice characters like Vaughn, Fiona, Sasha or Rhys (I like him a lot). The Presequel was also good, and I enjoyed a lot playing Athena. And finally, Borderlands 3 definitely had the best gameplay, and one of the best lore, even if the story isn't well written and the main villains are not as good as Handsome Jack. But this "game", that "New tales from the borderlands" is... is it really a Borderland game ? Did the developers understand the essence of Borderlands ? What's wrong with the characters ? I know that characters in Borderlands are quite crazy, dumb, maniac and so on...but they are generally likeable. The main characters of that story are unbearable. Behaviours, voices, way of speaking...damn it's so painful and creepy to watch. I know that gearbox is woke as hell, but it hasn't disturbed me until Borderlands 3, because some characters were very nicely written like Nakagawa, Rhys, Wainwright Jakobs, Allistair and Aurelia Hammerlock...and of course attaching. But here, I've got the feeling they wanted us to hate those characters. Even Rhys has been destroyed. What did they do with his kindness and caring of his own employees ? Why are all characters acting like they were children at the age of 8 ? Did the developers want to kill the license by doing so ? I hope they will rectify it in the next game and write a good story at least !

NOTHING about this game even resembles the borderlands style/theme we all have come to love. Somehow most of the original characters in this game made AVA look like a decently written character. Unbelievably there are a few scenes in this game which are actually good and make you believe will lead up to a much cooler, more interesting plot.. but then that whole plot is either destroyed by “forced humor” or just dumped and dropped completely never to be brought up ever again, and this occurs over and over again at least 10 times until the dumpster fire that is this game is finally over.. all in all shout-out to gamers little playground for biting the bullet on this one and saving us all the time and money of buying this abomination

I now a bit astonished how strong are Vault Hunters. We saw guardians only in TPS and BL3, but seeing how here they throw all those tediore soldiers like toys is crazy. And we as Vault Hunters killing them, like there is no problem at all.

Character dynamics seem fleshed out but not the characters themselves aside from stapleface and Louie. especially given its using 3s canon which is a handicap as it is. Still could have been better but not garbage.
To the people complaining about wokism and agendas…seriously grow up the borderlands franchise has struggled to find its footing ever since handsome jack got the AX in 2 as he very much was the life of the party and an iconic villain. If you don’t like the newer games there’s nothing wrong with that but don’t blame it on culture war bs the franchise has enough problems.

New Tales From the borderlands was not what I was expecting from this new game. I was expecting to see more of rhys, fiona, and sasha, while also answering questions that were left unanswered from 3, and the last tales game. Obviously knowing my questions aren’t answered still leaves a little upset, but it doesnt keep me from liking this story, and the characters, each of them had great character development, and the story brings more questions and sets up the entry of borderlands 4.

@@Breeado literally doesnt prove anything, there have been bad jokes (to some) in the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, literally any borderlands game, jokes are a hit and miss with certain audiences. As for the “woke” thing, if youre talking about different people of color, cultures (maybe even disabilities) youre living under a rock cause this game series has been “woke” since the installment of two.

It's said you can't please everyone, but a great many fans of past Borderlands games are extremely disappointed with this instalment. While it isn't on par with Telltale’s original, I found to be amusing & interesting at times, enough to watch the entire play-through.

Everything before the 4hr-5hr was bearable. I thought it couldn’t get any worse. Then the end came and it was the worst. This was a joke and not a good one. The writing of this was terrible. I hated the characters in this. This went against the reason we all like borderlands. For the guns, killing, and bloodplosions! Thats why LOU13 was the only good character in this. He was the only character that felt like a actual borderlands character from the future. To write a story about making weapons that are none lethal it’s like the creators have forgotten what makes borderlands a loved series.
Started off pretty good, went downhill at about the halfway point, then really plummeted towards the end. What was that final boss scene at the end. I don't think I would find it humorous even if I was ten years old. First one was way better.
I avoided this game because of the negative opinions but when i gave it a chance I actually loved it, it’s fun to play and there were plenty of funny moments it has an awkward comedy and each character have their unique personality even tho it took me time to get used to anu but this game ain’t bad at all
It's not that it's bad, it's that it actually has so little to do with borderlands. The athmosphere, the humor, they have nothing to do with the first and the second game.

I cant believe they made this game and thought this pile of garbage was good enough to release. It started out good then gradually decended to trash but then at the end did an absolute nose dive into the trash heap it is. Couldnt say i cared when stapleface or louise died. Louise never really anything or even contributed in the slightest. frans plot armor is bs. Octavio has had zero character development and is still the same materialistic dumbass from the start, and anu got worse in her development. I could go on and on about the amount of issue i have with this pile.
Plus I think all their deaths were extremely forced

I thought the music choices themselves were OK, it's more that they didn't enhance the events on-screen.
In the original Tales, it's like the music was being used as a framing device. The scenes those played over felt like a music video, but also like they were showing you what the characters were thinking.

I remember reading a Steam review that said to watch a video of this game and not play it. After watching all of this, I can confirm that was the right call. This game had such a bad story, and the humor is WAY too often and forced at times. Fran and Lou13 were the only characters I'd actually like to see more of in future Borderlands games.

One of the worst things I've ever watched. 50% of the dialogues are cringe. Character have some really forced diversity, in exchange for depth, development, or any likeable characteristics. Worst of all is the strange mid-fight dialogues. Would you dance when your friends are being shot at?

Personally I like the look of the game. Sure others have complained about it. It's fine to have opinions. After all games aren't easy to make. But to be honest I loved the minigames I loved the references and I loved the new characters and they're interactions. Currently my favorite characters in this game are Rhys (Favorite charater is back!) Stapleface cause while she's a Psycho she's a Unique Psycho. Like Krieg in a way. And Fran cause she's my favorite out of the 3 playable charaters She's great with her Business and is able to handle herself with conflict!
Sure it's not perfect but it's a nice Borderlands game and I hope to see some of these charaters return to Borderlands 4

FALLOUT AND BORDERLANDS developers should make a game for Fallout and use the animated characters. And integrate the animation and fully explorable wasteland. Would be great for a FALLOUT game. I've been watching for 1 hour and I won't go any farther.
Borderlands 1 was good, at least the gameplay was awesome at that time. Borderlands 2 was one of the best game I've ever played, with one of the best villain that i've ever seen.
Tales from the borderlands introduced nice characters like Vaughn, Fiona, Sasha or Rhys (I like him a lot). The Presequel was also good, and I enjoyed a lot playing Athena.
And finally, Borderlands 3 definitely had the best gameplay, and one of the best lore, even if the story isn't well written and the main villains are not as good as Handsome Jack.
But this "game", that "New tales from the borderlands" is... is it really a Borderland game ? Did the developers understand the essence of Borderlands ?
What's wrong with the characters ? I know that characters in Borderlands are quite crazy, dumb, maniac and so on...but they are generally likeable.
The main characters of that story are unbearable. Behaviours, voices, way of speaking...damn it's so painful and creepy to watch.
I know that gearbox is woke as hell, but it hasn't disturbed me until Borderlands 3, because some characters were very nicely written like Nakagawa, Rhys, Wainwright Jakobs, Allistair and Aurelia Hammerlock...and of course attaching.
But here, I've got the feeling they wanted us to hate those characters. Even Rhys has been destroyed. What did they do with his kindness and caring of his own employees ?
Why are all characters acting like they were children at the age of 8 ?
Did the developers want to kill the license by doing so ?
I hope they will rectify it in the next game and write a good story at least !

personally, I NEVER use Tediore guns in any of the Borderlands games, and now, I hate their annoying talking guns, so uptight condescending chatter bots, and the people of Promethea are still recovering from a Maliwan invasion, and now they have to put up with a Tediore invasion, all so they can get their hands on a vault key, and find a vault, honestly, those idiots should know that the vault's already been used up, and the monster is dead, plus, Typhon Deleon already found a vault on that planet, how is that there's another vault?

Графика стала куда лучше, Сэл-шейдинг на месте, детали стали более выразительней, уровень детализации высокий.
Стимпанка в Борде никогда не было, ну точнее это стилистика Джейкобс, а более детально у них ковбойская стилистика. В Пре-сиквеле был ретро-футиризм 80-х Даль.
У каждой фракции своя стилистика.
А события в New Tales разворачиваются на Прометее, планете Атласа, тут Неон
