Nice style of footage and conversation. Mixing it up. Interesting setup and looking forward for more on Kalos. Rotatable tweeter for vertical/horizontal option is nice.
Your channel has taught me more info than I could ever know when it comes to home theater. I trust you more than the sales at Best Buy and home theater local businesses as far as being the most transparent and upfront with everything, etc
2 videos back to back that are 1hr + !?!? I think the more living room setup from JTR is a good idea, still out of my price range but definitely think it will help get them into more rooms!
Holy hell, with this gear, get a really nice UST projector and quality screen! They are improving in picture quality, can view in daylight, and are the future IMO.
@@willworld3007 given that JTR is a small business (this is not a knock against them), I would guess that they are using the same drivers in different enclosure
Thanks, Steve. The only difference between the RS1 and RS2 is about 6 dB. They’re phenomenal. obsessedhometheater.com/collections/jtr-subwoofers/products/captivator-rs-seriers-subwoofers
Nice to see a new speaker line. Would've wished for a 4-8" deep larger on wall model for dedicated theater space. Something with more full range capabilities
If you want the TV flush with the front of the speakers, mount the TV on a full motion mount. Then pull th TV forward. It's a trade-off for good speakers. I still like black, but I like the idea of matching the wall paint to the speaker. Bright pink, maybe.
I really like Jeff. His company has taught me so much about high performance speakers. I, personally will never spend as much as jtr speakers are but I work in construction and like to diy. I will build speakers similar some day. Great inspiration Jeff and Michael
Really excited for this Kalos line. My HT is a converted bedroom where width of the room is tight, trying to find a high dynamic speaker with a thin profile is hard. Would love if the 265 come with some bracket to use as on ceiling where you can still tilt to aim at MLP.
2:15 reminds me of the time when i used my spl meter for the first time and forgot to take the top off. Dang my levels were all messed up for sure. I couldn´t understand why the numbers were so high 😆 Btw great detail for the customers.
Very awesome that Jeff is bringing out some speakers more tailored towards a regular living room setup! I’m no business man, but I think not having the new line in black would be a mistake. Wouldn’t black easily have the highest demand?
@@1HughxJanise1 I have a 7.2.4 setup with JBL speakers and PSA subs. I use to own a home. Yardwork, shoveling, extra space (4 rooms I never used) getting dusty was not for me. Throw in the random expensive bills like AC, Furnace, Roof, etc that liquid funds need to quickly available. Having a nice living room setup does not require home ownership. Dropping 20+K is one thing. Balancing spending that much with loss of revenue it is generating is another.
I like the idea of broadening JTR’s appeal for the brand to survive. I just hope this doesn’t dilute the original creations. I love my ULF subwoofers and eventually will upgrade my clip speakers to the GTR towers and surrounds. The 15s that is.
The current series isn’t going anywhere. The new series will bring a new customer. Introduce many many more to JTR who would have never considered them otherwise.
Love seeing PRs implemented by a serious builder. They are way too under utilized. Those must have pretty serious excursion to be the same dimension, as prs need at least 2x the surface area,or excursion, of the driver. When I was a teen,20+ yrs ago, I had a PR floor standing sub that had 2 3" drivers w 2 5" prs that was every bit as loud, and sounded better than, my ported dayton 10. Have messed w them ever since. Currently have a 5.25" driver and 5.25" pr subwoofer setup in my single cab. Def not final version, but fun to play with. Side note... They are called "drones" as they are essentially "remote controlled" by the "driver". Cool setup, fun vid, thank for BTS of the process Youthman!
LETS GO!!!!! Another hang out, chat about STUFF while we build a theatre! Love hanging out with you guys, makes me feel like I'm sitting on the couch in the soace with y'all ❤👍 That center channl looks mint! I can imagine smaller JTR components with the quality and punch of the larger speakers but for people who cant hide them in a dedicated theatre room. Nice set of LCR's eh eh?!...even having 5 or seven of them around the room perfectly matching timbre....very nice JTR!!!
That price for one speaker is still beyond what many so called living room setups will want to spend. At those prices living room folks would go cheaper or go with Arendal.
This is good stuff! Absolutely digging these kinds of videos. It's like being a fly on the wall with the Avengers! Anyhow, the prototype looks great, but sorry, not interested if it doesn't come in black. I mean, come on Mr. JTR!
I’m so sad to see that the price of the JTR subwoofers is going way up again come January. I’d been saving for a pair of 2400ULf’s but with the $1000+/- price increase I don’t see it happening now. I know JTR is worth the money, but the last price increase already moved them a bit out of my price range and now this next one will definitely move them out of my range. Guess I need to find a better job! lol

It would look like one whole connect piece with maybe a inch or inch half space. Remember i mention this to u earlier about JTR making a smaller slightly cheaper system for Ppl. And this is it as long as its reachable in price. I'm Not talking to cheap. I see that the Ctr ch is price at $2499🤨Maybe around $1499 for Ctr ch, 2 LRC $1799ea, 2 SSC $1299ea, 2 RC $1299ea & 2 Subs $1499ea or somewhere like that.. I'm Tired - lol....
Gonna be honest this has gotten out of control. 1st most, 99% of people aren't gonna drop and don't have room for 20k for surround sound. 2. 99% won't hear any discernable difference between your$ 3000 center. Channel and a $200 one. We're usually in a standard 14x20 living room that don't need an 800 watt center speaker. Why can't we get to earth and start making videos geared to the 99% of us that are in reality
i agree.. i was looking forward to the new line of JTR stuff to see if it was affordable. At $2500 for one, it's a pricey option.. Hell even the Dynaudio stuff is crazy expensive..
@yournightmare9999 if you look at Social Blade, over the past 7 years, my channel has had a consistent and steady growth. October with the last 90 days it experienced a 109% growth in subscribers. Well this was at least my last viewing of this channel. 4-5 adult guys totally out of reality. Nothing to do with sound quality and definitely nothing to do with sound quality per dollar. There might be stupid people who want to pay for something like this, hopefully not too many. Have you heard the song Boyz are Boyz. This video would definately suit that song😂😂😂😂, sorry ladies.

I will personally not buy JTR speakers or all these expensive brands coz am so much ok with my $8000 7.4.4 Klipsch speakers but I watch these coz it's fun and its good to see grown men having die hard investment in sound since everyone thinks only teenagers would like this.
