Another tip leave some rocks in clay soil they assist drainage and absorbe heat at day and releasing it at night thus regulating soil temp. This is what our old farmers and grandparents do in my country.
What Hannah should have also mentioned is that you can keep throwing food scraps in that bucket and the worms will keep breaking it down and feeding the surroundings. I’ve been using these buried compost buckets in my garden bed and they have really improved the soil 👌🏽

What I don’t understand about burying the bucket in the soil is why you couldn’t just dig a hole and bury the waste?
