Pro Tools-Track could not be record enabled... dialog

  • Ever seen the Pro Tools dialog that says....
    Track could not be record-enabled because it doesn't have both and input and an output assigned.
    Here's likely why you're seeing and what you can do to resolve it!

    Hi Jon, Is there a hot key or shortcut command to create a marker at the curser location without having to click the little "+" at the top left time line that's labeled "marker"? Thanks

      Yes, if you have a full size qwerty keyboard it's the "Enter" key in the Numeric Keypad section. If you don't have a full size qwerty keyboard, on Mac it's hold the "fn" key (in the lower left corner of the keyboard and hit "Enter" (Return).

    I don’t have any input but I have an output. Have already confirmed mic is working thru another DAW. Tips?
