Most of the time this happen so piece by piece like in Paper Mario where they beat the game by playing Zelda Ocarina of Time

The fact that there is no extra invisible walls or anything in the boss area of BotW is really cool
Game developers always talk about smoke and mirrors, but there's something magical about making the game more logical than it needs to be
They didn't need to even enable the boss area's triggers before you're able to get in, but they are
Luigi's mansion didn't need to load geometry unless you used a door to get there, but it's still programmed to load by location instead of triggers
Sure, someone may never realize a certain detail unless they use bugs, but when you do find it... it's just cool

@@near5148 the thing is that if you make it impossible for it to happen, there is no point to do such a thing
Altho in games where enemies always have stats like "gold per kill" i would def. set it to something ridiculous like 999999
If we do this for third party, then we end up with a speed run for FF7, where 2/3 of it is literally rushing through Midgar, and then clipping through a mountain via Chocobo, dying in a flashback, ending up there, then going to a hidden, void dimension with tons of NPCs, and one of them apparently can send you straight to the scripted boss fight with Sephiroth. So skipping about 90% of the game.
The amount of different versions of this glitch is insane and its crazy how we are still finding ne wmethods for this 25 years late!

Paper Mario 64 Crashing also happens in both Partners in Time with the UFO Timer and Bowser Inside Story (both versions) with Midbus' First Fight
For Partners In Time it dosen't crash, but ends the battle with an graphical bug.

Technically, Oak should have also recorded Blue into the Hall of Fame because he indeed became a champion, the fact that his reign was extremely short doesn't take that away.
I’m pretty sure blue had his team recorded before red arrived while yes he was only champion for a short period of time he was still champion so he still would’ve had his team recorded
I think Oak specifically records the champions, like he's required at the Plateau to do such. Blue's reign is so short that he only arrives AFTER Blue gets defeated, so he isn't able to be recorded.
It's more a glitch in the system because they never thought the literal champion would be beaten so quickly that Oak couldn't get there in time.
@@trianglemoebius I don't imagine Oak has anything to do with that. He only showed up because he'd heard that Blue had become champion, then was disappointed to find that Blue had already lost. More than likely, it was Lance who registered Blue into the hall of fame before Red showed up.
The breath of the wild one doesn't skip anything since you still have to get the paraglider to not void out as soon as you start getting away from great plateau and there are glitchless ways to to do it
No wonder gamefreak doesn't want you turning off the game when it is saving, they don't want you to see their codings
The SRAM glitch is when you save at a early time where the yes/no text box was press and is on the screen and you reset. This probably corrupts a bunch of values including having 255 pokémon in your party
Some of these feel incomplete because you just see the glitches and not the ending
The ending is skipped...
Zelda BOTW: insanely hard,you take out whatever weapon you have instead of the master sword, you have a default horse for D.B.G.
Metroid 1: also really hard depending on when you do it, or just like normal.
Luigis mansion: just like normal.
Dang it! Knowing that glitch for ALttP would've saved both time and controllers. Plus I would've beaten my dad with only one game

You can easily beat Luigi's Mansion without collecting any ghosts except king boo which is just so awesome. I speedrunned Luigi's Mansion with Dolphon cheats though cause it's way faster.
Just make sure to put control mode to sidestep and Luigi doesn't get scared by a ghost 👻 and when you do get to the room with king boo make sure not to send Luigi too far out of bounds or you'll be soft locked 🔒🔐

In Luigi's Mansion, Luigi should finish all the ghosts in the entire mansion first before heading to the final boss to defeat King Boo like Daisy said.

I'm more surprised that the save in Pokemon actually worked at all, given how little time was given to the game to perform the save.
The thing with the BOTW one though, is that even if you get to the boss fight, you're too underleveled and will die vary fast. Unless you are god-tier gamer, that is.

Well it does know, the game tries to play Bowser's ko'ed animation and finds nothing, probably accessing a null pointer which will crash just about anything in programming

as for the Link to the Past trick I believe that ONLY works for the SNES version and not the GBA version of it.
It still works on the GBA version, but on Thieves Dungeon only. And its done with the mirror.
It would make sense for it to not work as done in the SNES version, as for the GBA remake of it, Nintendo did their best to patch the Y coordinate related glitches. That is why the Chris Houlihan room is no longer accessible during gameplay without modifying the input data, as that was the failsafe room for when there was an error trying to load the correct one. Wall clip glitches usually took advantage of the coordinates being modified incorrectly when Link got thrown back, since the code has to keep track of that so it knows what collision to apply in every step.

The door in the room with the statues leads to Tourian, which is where Mother Brain can be fought. The idea is that Samus is supposed to find and defeat the bosses on the statues (Kraid and Ridley) and doing so creates a bridge so she can go right to the door.
Instead, the player opens the door to the room and lures a Reo (the jumping enemy) through the door by entering it together. Once inside, it can be frozen and used as a platform to enter Tourian without having to beat Kraid or Ridley.

No one. Missingno at 000 is included in the count, so the 151 from bulbasaur to mew plus number 000 = 152 different pokemon.
