@anthonyarcanumsanctumregnu9551 Don't really know about the Magic part. Tho I do believe that dark magic is the Demons At play. As for the occult thing most definitely a thing around here. Bunch of men women and even a few children. Hold service in the woods at dark naked as the day they where born. Maybe on a special occasion, sacrifice a chicken or 3. Don't know about your part of the country. Though i can for a while say that they are things that go bump in the mountains at nite around here.
We dont have mountains in my neighborhood But A lot of Guns use to go Bump in the night lol I'm from Howard Beach Jamaica Queens The Italian section home to many old cosa nostra like John Gotti, 40 blocks south is south side where 50 cent and them come from.... I love stories from your mountains:)@@TheStuartofCosby
If you're into Appalachian stuff, I recommend you go check out Stygian Sagas. He writes his own stories, most of them connected, and most set in rural Appalachia. Also has a great voice. Not to mention he's a great damn writer, in my opinion well above 90% of his peers. *Sorry Dr. for plugging another channel, but I have a compulsion of spreading word of good sht.
I was feeling nostalgic this halloween, so i decided to start revising a lot of the old creepypasta narrators that i enjoyed and helped me sleep over the last decade. And your channel probably got to me the most lol, the introduction at the beginning with the music took me straight back to 2018 when i discovered this channel and similar ones like NaturesTemper. Glad to see you're still going strong after all these years.
This was 100% AI written. No part of it made sense and multiple parts directly contradicted each other. A small working class town with a population of 234,000 that had nothing to do for fun but had a mall, movie theater, and bowling alley! It read like 9 different horror stories smushed together. That’s AI.
I am currently listening in a run down cabin by the light of a small fire as I drink hot coffee from an enameled percolator with some bourbon flavored cake as strange creatures prowl around in the forest during a downpour of heavy rain.
I agree! To be honest I found it hard to get through it. A mall in the hills of Appalachia ??? Wha?!! It’s only because Dr Creepen is reading it that I’m powering through it as he makes everything sound great!! lol
I notice that too. It would be the 3rd largest in the state. It’s terribly written in that regard alone. I turned it off immediately after they said that.
This one was kind of a letdown for me. It was all over the place, and the main character very quickly just accepted the situation and became suddenly convinced he could free this town of whatever is going on? I don't know........ something missing in this one. It's a shame because I'm from Upstate South Carolina, and the Appalachain Mountains are a beloved area full of so much lore and very true, spiritually terrifying legends and rules you always follow. Real deal ancient stuff. Was once part of the Scottish highlands on pangea and one of the oldest mountain chains in the world.
I thought the same. He was like, oh I'm in a time loop. Ok I'll just kill the guy. Then the evidence of what wad going on jusy happened to be right there. But no one else 40 years ago realized how easy it would be to stop it.
I wish someone would tell a story about northern Appalachian mountains, specifically New Hampshire, but the mountains go all the way to Canada. I love these stories, thank you!
Ok I absolutely love your story telling. I’ve paused it to say this. Don’t want to be a big spoiler but I’m from Boyd Co. I went to Boyd Co. high school in the 80’s. The country school mascot was and still is a lion. Near by high school and the biggest rival is Ashland and their mascot is tomcats. There isn’t a tunnel entrance to Boyd Co. football field. There is in Ashland. The only mall near Boyd Co in the 80’s was in Huntington WV. A 20 minute drive from Boyd Co. This story never happened. I’ve never heard of the town this story is about. There were no bars in the 80’s because the whole county was dry. You couldn’t buy alcohol anywhere. There was a VFW bar for veterans and you had to have a membership to go. And membership was by invitation only. I’m not mad I’m looking forward to listening. I’m proud of where I’m from even if it was so backwards thinking back in the 80’s. A good place to grow up. I don’t live there now and haven’t for 30 years. I did own the house I grew up in until a few years ago. I hated to sale my Kentucky home. But I was never going back to live there and renting it out from states away was too much. Charlie Mansion lived there before he went California. His mom lived and died in Boyd Co. Charlie Mansion’s 1/2 brother was asst football coach back in the 80’s for Boyd Co. It was a strange place and strange things did happen around the area but not this story. It doesn’t really matter I understand. There are plenty of true stories to tell about this area. I just wonder why or how the writer chose this area. Brings back a lot of memories. Don’t mean to ruin the story but did want to put some facts in. Ok I’ve got to listen now. Thanks for what you do.❤
That was a suspenseful story tonight. I enjoyed the exploration of the little town. Amazing narration as always. An early Happy Halloween 🎃 and Goodnight ❤️🤗🌟
“Backwoods city”….of nearly a quarter of a million people in Kentucky? You lost me right there. That would be the 3rd largest city in the state and we are to believe it just “disappeared?” No, that’s just terrible writing. Doc I love your narration but wish you paid more attention to the quality of the stories you choose.
Hey Doc! Its 11:50pm, lights are off and I'm snuggled in and ready to listen. I'd like to tell that I really appreciate you, especially on these sleepless nights! Happy Halloween everyone!🤗💜🕷👻🎃
This story has a weird flow, or lack thereof. Very disjointed and it's strange how the protagonist keeps flip flopping between wanting to escape the town and "putting an end to the madness." It felt like someone took several horror stories that already exist, put them in a stack, shuffled it up, and transcribed it without any thought to how everything fit together. Not a well thought out story at all in my opinion, but you did a wonderful job narrating as always.
8:04 Chuck Woolery was the actual Mayor?? 😂😂😂 idk if many of you remember him from the ‘80s but he was a game show host back then. 44:08 Damn! And he knew all of this back in 1986? Now that’s a prophet! He saw it coming wayyyy before any of us even had the guts to admit that it’s already happened! I’ll give the guy credit for that. Killing might not have been the best decision but he definitely told them some hard truths.
Ahh but you are assuming the town is a literal one Dr. Creepen. It sort of reminds me of that TH-camr mall one you just finished recently, except this one is figurative. I may be wrong (I usually am 🤣).
well read as always but must say the story was not that good, f.ex. some feelings/reactions of the character didn't make any sense, the story failed to build any real excitement or tension, suspension.
If you go to the midwestern United States, you will see many towns that are simply abandoned and untouched for decades. Same with the rural eastern US. Not quite as big as this town, but not all are tiny either.
Ok an interesting story no doubt, although I did find it hard to follow the line, as it seemed to skip around a bit. What really struck me as strange was the last picture quote. Forever. What does that mean? I’m at a total loss for meaning for this one guys and gals, so if anyone out there can explain it to me I’d be grateful! The great Dr did an outstanding job with this, no surprise there! So I thank him again for his work and dedication to bring us quality well delivered stories and even if they sometimes fall short as our expectations aren’t fully met, it’s never the fault of Dr Creepen! He is the supreme ruler of CreepyPasta narration! All shall bow down before his greatness!! 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏🫡🫡
As an Apappachlian myself in the rural sticks of backwoods Tennessee. Love hearing these Masterpieces. Thanks, as always. Good, Dr
Im from Queens NYC and I love hearing them is there really all the Magick and occult stuff etc

You still alive?
mebbee no...
Hope they did not eat you' and you're still alive.
This was a little all over the place, but the unexplainable is part of the horror genre, so I will not complain too hard.

@@Linda-rs5qt because its an AI story unfortunately. This had a lot of potential as an idea.
@@WhitneyDahlin no way?? Really?? I want to avoid ai stuff to give actual writers more power to keep writing
A small “working town” with no bars and not much to do, of 234’000 people?!! 🤨
I notice that too. It would be the 3rd largest in the state. It’s terribly written in that regard alone. I turned it off immediately after they said that.
Double that and you’ve got the full population of my whole country.
You've apparently never heard of dry towns 😂😂😂
@ Bud, you completely missed the point.

As a listener I appreciate this. As a Kentuckian I find this awful.
Good evening Dr.C. Absolutely splendid story . Thank you ❤❤❤❤.
Huh, once he got to the town, it did feel a little Silent Hill, huh?
Thank you for posting on the Eve Halloween 🎃
Ever since The Meat Locusts, I realized something...
No day/night is complete without "Creepen."
As always, thank you sir!
Thank you so much, Dr. Creepen, the bird shaped giant thing is reminiscent of the Mothman 🫣
I wish someone would tell a story about northern Appalachian mountains, specifically New Hampshire, but the mountains go all the way to Canada. I love these stories, thank you!
I’m so excited for a nice mountain story
Thank you dear Dr Creepen, enjoyed this story and your narration as always!
Big fan of your stories, but you have struck gold with this one, really struck a
Chord with me ! Thanks
This one is very "Twin Peaks".

The pronunciation being different from what you're used to, you are intimately familiar with Poage Landing, I'm sure

Smirk and shake your head at the silly detail, then rewrite in your head like i do.

Great video 💜
Chuck Woolery, the host of Love Connection, was also a mayor?
Apple at'cha? Or Apple ay'sha? Either way, looking forward to listening to this one!
Oh my God I have a fishing cabin only an hour away from this location!😂😂
Interesting story, beautifully narrated! Thank you Doc very much!
That's Why you are supposed to have Pistol, knife, Shotgun, Rifle and Bear Spray
Good one , thanks . ❤❤❤❤
RIP Armco
Thank you Dr Creepen for the awesome pasta. Excellent story and narration as usual. Definitely made my morning.🖤🖤🖤🖤
3:54 the road way on the video caused me to get that what's wrong with this picture feeling, then it dawned on me...its not in North America😊❤
❤❤❤ Needed this more than usual tonight! Thankyou Dr. for always being there for us! Now to chill out....ahh ❤❤❤
I'm gonna pass on this.
Perfect this evening before Halloween 🎃
Thanks Doc!
Seems like somone liked silent hill an fatal frame one night in wellston.

Hmm. I'm not that far from Poage right now. As described, that is. Could probably be there before midnight.
Don't go you don't want to be tomorrow's hot
a meaningful story that I am sitting near the cabin with a cup of coffee enjoying, the space here is also suitable for the story
This was an interesting story. Reminds me of "On a Hill" "Dead Mall" and other stories you recently read. speaking of, when is your next story coming?
Great job.
Greetings from Netherland

If that happened to me. I would never take pictures again
Woooeeee!!!! Another great one read by everyone's favourite, smooth-talking, hypnotic sounding Doc Creepen. 👏💖😶🌫️👀
DAVID MORNINGWAY HERE, great story doc 😈😎😇

It started off good then it just lost me. The writing was good I just didn't find the protagonist believable at all.
Thanks!
Is that how all British people pronounce "clerk"?
.....because it's wrong!
Being from Ashland Ky. The blue ribbon lanes was up and running 4 years ago, and tourn down 2 years ago.. this is complete bull shit...
The background music used always reminds me of Diablo 3 music.
Nor have anything to do with that place again
I love your narration, but seriously no one saw the guy and he didn't run towards them, just casually sat back down on the bench?
A city or a town 🤔
Author of this one is a little too into alliteration...
I farted
A mayor doesn’t have the power to declare a state of emergency and/or order national guard troops in.
This mayor did so the obviously can.
Guys it’s a story let you imagination wonder a little
