I usually dont like alien stories, however this one was really good, plus your narrorting Lighthouse made it amazing as always😊

By our concept wouldn't a 4D dimensional being merely have more angels we couldn't perceive? Less of another dimension sort of deal since 2d and 3d are merely visible dimensions or is this referring to something else.

I enjoyed this a lot. It isn't often I come across alien stories that skip the two most predictable premises: uplifting humanity or exterminating us. Yet, this story did just that, all the while maintaining the sense of threat and strangeness to the protagonists. Great delivery as always!

I was walking my roommates daughter's dog and 3 diamond shaped lights appeared low in the sky and shifting formation, I watched the golden light coming from them and ran the dog home after they slowly faded out. I told my roommate and we went out onto the patio and they came back and we both watched them in awe for about 2 minutes before they flew away from us at the speed of light( I saw redshift) I had gotten my binoculars and was looking at them up close and the golden light from the craft looked like liquid reflecting off the clouds above them.

Awesome!!! I’ve been needing a new LightHouse story! Bad day today.. anxiety and depression got to me... I sat in my room crying one second thinking about my fallen brothers... then the next second laughing, remembering the good times I had with them.. I know It’s not bipolar, cause I dated a girl that did.. it’s different.. Regret of not changing my life style so that in turn, would changed my boys lifestyle an he would still be with us!? I feel dazed an confused 🤷♂️ Idk.. just got a lot on the mind.. can’t wait to get to this Psychiatrist man... plus it’s a woman! That’s what I wanted.. idk if I could open up to another dude about feelings.. ya know! We’re guys! We’re not supposed to show emotions! I guess I did that for far to long an I’m cracking at the seams overfilled with to much pain... that plus one day I’ll stand up for myself... damn bullies. I thought getting out of school the bullies would disappear.. nope.
Bullies will always be around. I've come across my share and at times I think someone else's. Stay strong, you've come so far. It's going to be alright.

I've learned over the years just what cowards bullies really are. It sounds like jealousy and deep insecurity to me for the type of man that you are. Chin up and be proud of yourself. You sound pretty special to me. Release that pain and never ever be ashamed to cry. Don't you know that it takes a real man to cry? I think you need someone who won't judge you and hold you when you need it. I'll be thinking about you and hoping you can find that help and to have that peace you so richly deserve. Please know that you are not alone. I am so sorry for the loss of your fallen brothers and I wish I could take away your pain,but please remember the good times you had. That is what they would want for you.

She’s always telling me I’m stronger then I know.. cause God gives his strongest soldiers the will an might to push through some of the hardest times life will throw at them. An you are right! I do have jealousy towards our military cause they didn’t let me join the army or navy like my Grandpa and my Dad, I wanted to keep the tradition going of a military family. But! My nephew is going to join the Air Force... so I’m happy for him! Reason why I was born with a chest birth defect, the right side of my chest is weaker than the left side. An if a would take a hard enough fall it wouldn’t be good..

I realize just how much you wanted to join, but just think of the wonderful things that are in store for you. When one door closes another opens, but first you have to firmly close the first door, let it go as painful as it may be, because God has something for you that will make you happy and content. Just trust what your mom says, and maybe what I've said. You can't make something happen that isn't meant to be and open your mind. You won't regret it. I have so much respect for you and I am excited about your future.
As for the bullies, just remember what I said about them. I'm sorry about your health issues, I have them,too. It was very hard for me not to give them a good attitude adjustment. I grew up hard so fighting was part of it and it was brutal. But since what happened to me it would be a real bad idea to fight. Anyway, I ignore them or I will cautiously talk to them being kind but firm. I live across from one now and she is horrible, I stood up to her, speaking calmly but firmly. Come to discover she had the same abusive upbringing that I had. We had taken two different paths. Now we have a mutual understanding of each other and a truce has been called.
Coud I ask what kind of job you have?
Please just trust what your future holds and keep in mind the harder you fight for what's not meant to be,the more unhappy you are going to be.

loved this story, and its great narration!! it’s so much more compelling than any old abduction and probing horror. i’m about to ramble about it cause i do love it, and the original post is too old to comment on!
the idea of aliens (by our standard, at least) that find US interesting is super neat. i like how they’re not malevolent, just… different.
I think the uncertainty about Mr. Ford is interesting; did they steal his consciousness while he was driving, causing him to crash? did the car accident happen by coincidence, just allowing the being to use his form for the conversation? who knows, but the ambiguity is nice!
the way the 4D being “rearranged” things to let the mc relive being with his grandmother on some level in her last moments, even leaving the card to confirm that she knew & felt him there, was honestly very sweet. and why? did they learn something, or feel somehow that the uncertainty about if she knew he was there was haunting him? feels like they might not be able to understand WHY these connections matter, but they understand that it DOES matter to us.
marita is neat, too. her loneliness is very real, and the want for another human to stay makes sense. she’s not like other people, but she’s not quite like the 4D beings either. makes you wonder what makes marita ‘special.’ maybe there’s others like her out in this story’s world, and she’ll have a friend that can stay one day.
what makes the beings hate the ‘h-word,’ i wonder? could it be that they yearn for a home, or miss one they lost? 🤔 they might be more ‘human’ than they think…
