Rats are adorable. I used to have 4 of them as pets. Cheerio was a black dumbo; he was the friendliest of the bunch. Sonic was, if I remember correctly, a white and gray standard; he used to line up the paper tubes in their cage. Perry was a white standard with a black pattern on his back that kind of looked like an exclamation point; for some reason, he had the strongest tendency to bite us. Then there was Milo, a gray dumbo whom I remember as sort of like the midpoint between Cheerio and Perry: he bit us sometimes, but not much. One time, while I was sitting on the bathroom floor playing with the rats, Milo walked up to my elbow, bit me, and left, for seemingly no reason. They eventually developed age-related illnesses and had the be put to sleep. They were great pets.
