I think it would make more sense to give Ryan the downstairs bedroom so that he has more space and his own bathroom. Since Brennan spends most of his time away at college, he could stay in Ryan’s room, which could also be converted to a standard guest room.
He has his own bathroom now that Katie is leaving. I think they just needed to give him a bigger bed even though he will lose more floor space. He doesn’t need a desk in his room when they have one downstairs. He won’t have anyone bothering him since Katie and Brennan are gone.

I also, would 100%, buy a hoodie that said "Another day in which to Excel", which I have stolen from Mr. D and use all the time now. Something about the position of the bed just seems off. There’s wasted space at the end. Not sure if it can be rearranged especially if you get rid of the dresser. It just looked awkward in that room. I think Ryan felt it too. It kind of looks like a crib lol
You might try moving the standing wardrobe to the opposite corner and having the bed be against the wall when you walk in. There’s an awkward empty space between the bed and the wall now, and if the bed was turned 90°, it might open up the middle of the room.
What made me happy today was well I brought my dog Toby for an 2 hour walk this morning. Relaxing while watching your videos. I think you should have caps and beanies saying " I love that girl" Mike phrase when Katie was in gymnastics. I miss those days.

I had a bed like that at my dad’s house in Bay St. Louis, Mississippi when I was a kid. The bottom of the bed pulled out which had another bed.
I grew up n Biloxi Mississippi til 2005 when Hurricane Katrina hit & I moved.
