Death of the author is an incredible take. I love when art has something meta to say about how differently people can perceive it, even if we don’t agree with each other’s takes, art was always intended to be a conversation. Really enjoy your jjk videos, I hope you make more kagurabachi stuff.
I'm so glad someone is talking about the dango. I feel like the symbolism went over a lot of people's heads. Chapter 17 is easily my favorite chapter of the series so far
It started off way too edgy but I feel we are at the perfect level of edge where it’s cold and not cringe the best example I can give is the final 3 pages of the latest chapter compared to the “wake up with hatred” page
@@Jesus.christ.your.bro. nothing edgy about wanting to fuel your goal with negative emotions chihiro is clearly a layered character(shown through his talk with Sojo, His relationships in the story especially Char and him risking his whole goal to save Hakuri.) Chihiro doesn’t just want revenge so him fueling himself with hatred isnt him being edgy is most likely just necessary and natural.
Im ngl kagurabachi is good but its also HEAVILY predictable. Ngl i fully expected the little girl to heal the dudes face like 3 chapters ago. And what do ya know, she did. The group that sojo fought against. Had a feeling they'd all die and i was honestly surprised even one lived lmao. The only thing story wise i feel any attraction to isnt even the mc cause hes literally a prodigy with a nuke. Im just getting heavy demon slayer vibes, ok story. Ok characters. But god damn if he aint a good artist. I could be wrong but nothing really feels that deep. Just kind of an excuse to draw something cool. Idk, it certainly isnt bad. But i do not think its gonna be THAT amazing
Bit disappointed that Sojo just died as a pawn but the writing is all there and the development for the characters are going smoothly but that’s the problem Kagura bachi lacks identity to me every thing is too smooth and too perfect in a way
@@bacongod5759 that is a very good way of putting it. Even though there's "struggle" chihiro isn't "struggling" to get past it. I lowkey feel like the little girl has gone through ten THOUSAND percent better character development than EVERYONE else as if theyre all set pieces that just move things along. It's too "efficient" and that's lowkey gege's fault. He's very good at using efficient storytelling, whereas here it's like 80% of why there's little to NO story outside of fighting. Like I get it, battle manga. Even jjk is pretty constant action. But nothing breathes bro. It's always just to the next to the next to the next. Like SLOOOOOW down bro, you've barely told us your powersystem and chihiro has already accomplished 1/6th of his goal 1/7th if he destroys his own blade by the end of the story. And apparently according to the appraisal guy there's some dude that just has fucking all of them? Like. WHY. it's very lame tbh, I WANT to be wrong. I hope he can spice it up a bit
I've got nothing to argue with here, but i just wanna say, the fact that the story rn is covering Shinuchi (apparently the strongest blade of the six, of which we don't even know four of), and had already set this up way back in ch 6, it does make me feel like it's not gonna be as straight forward as we all think, at least structure-wise, since that goes against the typical road of power progression in manga.
@@dmajorray6154I don't think you really understand how scared a lot of people are of the Shonen jump axe, he has to make the story fast paced in order to make it interesting. The goal might not even end after the blades have been destroyed there's already foreshadowing of people trying to make more so that point of yours is just nitpicking. And their all going through character development but it's been like 23 chapters what are you looking for, hopefully he slows down soon now that he's relatively safe. But I get your concerns but it's good for 23 chapters all things considered. At least I can't remember any 1st arc in Shonen like it.
@user-ne1qu1bg4i bruh we've already been through an arc. Sojo was basically a mini arc. It's been 23 chapters and we're in technically a different stage of the story. Like. What? He realizes swords can be used to kill regardless of whether or not your dad didn't want them to be used for the wrong thing? Like, I know it might be nitpicky. But the reason why I'm like this is because I see nothing but fucking glazing over this when it's just not deserving of it lmao. And yeah sure they can afraid of the shonen axe but gege himself wasn't exactly guaranteed success, the manga was well developed by the time the anime came around and boosted popularity. On top of the 4 one shots he has he's been fighting shonen for quite some time. To me fighting the axe is much more of a negative side affect of the industry rather than excuse to have people just accept a plainly lackluster story or characters. And if you're afraid of it then maybe don't do shonen jump or take more time on your work. A lot of people that aren't even nearly as well known as kagurabachi do the same. Choujin x and gachiakata walk and a fucking SNAILS pace but the art is good and the story is compounding. If the artist feels like he needs to force something then it's just not gonna be 100% and that goes for any artist in anything. It sucks yeah but to have it be an excuse? Hardly. I'm not wanting to spread hate on it or say people need to do that either. But it is NOT so good as to overtake it's contemporaries at least not for a good long time until he gets to slow down. A lot of stories get axed around 20-30 chapters it seems so he's pretty much at that crossing point but for some reason I don't see that happening to him
PeaKagura Bachi taking over, and man is it glorious to watch. The series deserves it’s success
I'm loving this series and it really feels like the author has some well thought out ideals and beliefs they want to share.
IS BACHI TIME 🤺
