It all worked out in the end, but man that cut deep. Getting that input out of your mind after having it for almost 25 years? That's gonna take a while. I could see Pot players mess it up months from now and I wouldn't blame them.
@@MigueleugiM26 Yeah. It's not like Heat Tackle that could be misinput instead of Hammerfall, which was personally a big problem for me because I fat finger the d-pad (lol controller scrub). I dunno, it's a WEIRD input change for HPB since you have to try hard to mess it up if you were gonna Slidehead for instance. I kinda see what they were going for with the whole kara thing being removed, but not the input for HPB. I think that's either gonna get reverted or we're just gonna have to take bigger swigs of glue to deal with it.
Nago is much more ground-bound due to having no double jump and a HORRIFICALLY slow forward superjump, so slidehead, especially now that _it deals damage,_ is a good option (unless the nago player knows they can beyblade over it)
@@LoraLoibu It's not, before they could on reaction jump, now they increased slide head recovery and added full counter hit state to it, so it's actually super worth it for nago to jump it, the only reason it's not doing it it's cause most players remember the previous pot recovery so it will take some time until they understand they can actually punish it super easy. (same as FABs heavenly input that was the old one)
@@gabrielst527 Slidehead has 29f startup, (I think it does?) Nago's forward superjump (which you basically need if you want to get a good jump-in from any range where you don't have anything better to do) has ~10f startup, which leaves ~19 frames to react, your reactions have to be _on point_ to get it off
I can handle losing Kara's but questioning a pot main on the reasoning behind slidehead is too much of a heresy for me to turn a blind eye on. Slidehead or bust.
It was that or walking forward and eating a 5H that deal a ton of damage and chip to the face. Megafisto was nerfed too so that is also out of the question.
tekken players have no time to mess around in other fgs they have to lab 150 moveset of every chars specially a tekken legend called knee why would he play other fgs and waste he's time
@@lil_Alii1Not every single move in Tekken isn't even worth labbing or remembering. High Level tekken usually boils down to low risk pokes to catch movement and the ocassional big opener to build momentum

@@LoraLoibu You actually have a lot of margin to do it and people in celestial punished slide head even in the previous version. Just stating facts
Just as rebalance intended. Kara cancels are dead, long live "SRAIDO HEATTO"
The thing that I notice in new patch is both characters only need a few input to drain others health bar
Strive is a high damage game, and both of these characters are on the higher end of the scale so yeah health bars MELT
SILIDEH-HEADTO!!! 🔥
5:38 if only we could still kara cancel...
on the bright side we did get nice new toys. but aye. losing old toys hurt.
@@sintwelvethat so true i love the pressure u can get now but i still miss the kara

slidehead gives pot a bit of meter when it is blocked
it's +10 on block now
pot can do whatever he wants
@@ducklenin8161 +10 means nothing when you are at any place that's not close range and your only option is doing 5H
