Yea, the divorce has nothing to do with the tea set, it's just the catalyst that got the ball rolling. The husband stole from, lied to, and gaslit her, while knowing the importance and sentimental value of the tea set. Good for OP to standing her ground, and I hope she can recover all her other stolen items.
If it was wrapped in bubblewrap, i believe it was worth a lot, because you dont take a person china set to 'give' to your daughter, then wrap it up I think op's ex and his sister were going to sell it and split the money🤐
Bone China is worth a LOT. Not just a lot, but a LOT. It's very hard to find, and it's really delicate. My great grandma had some, and her set was small, but in the '70's it was worth around $10,000. I don't know where it went when she died, cause I didn't exist until about 6 years after her death, which, I was born in '83. So that sister was probably going to get a pretty penny for selling it. Glad op got her tea set back, but definitely dump the husband and try not to be in contact with any of them. I feel bad for the kid though, because they genuinely liked it, but their mom and uncle messed up, so the kid will get to suffer for it.
Bro... It's not JUST a tea set. It came from OP's grandmother! To her, it's the last thing she has of her grandma. If he wanted to gift the tea set to his niece, then he should buy one! Not steal!
The fact the husband won't see what a Momento means, is an instant red flag. Plus starts throwing vulgar words once you got caught? Boi, hell is coming for you and your sister
Can we give a "why do you exist" award to this husband because holy fucking hell this guy is nuts!
That's an understatement of the year
it's like "play stupid games and win stupid prizes"

The fact that he saw how upset she was and “helped” her look for it, but knew where it was the whole time is beyond insane

This one is kind boggling wow. Just selling of your wife stuff piece by piece hm smfh
"I love my brother and my cousins, i don't want to visit them in jail"
Epic.

That first one is screwed up. Husband is a jerk.
