The Flora Story palette is meant to be more of a light pigment that can be built up. That's why it's not like the other palettes. That's what I have heard.
I adore the Sea Talk Palette from Oden’s Eye. I use the neutrals all the time with a pop of color. I love that Lauren curated a palette with both neutrals and colorful shades. I don’t typically wear colorful looks. This palette makes color more approachable.
I too thought that the flora would be my favorite of the 3 palettes, but I have the exact same issue. The mattes don't build up as well for me either. I absolutely love the Animal Planet and Sea Talk palettes.
You are not tripping. I also liked the color story of Amanda’s palette best of all, but I found the mattes very light and hard to build up and the color story overall to be pretty light to mid tone. I ended up using another palette to deepen up the outer corner and the look. I can’t remember which one, but it was from an older collection. My favorite by far was Lauren Mae’s. I did a neutral look that I loved!
My friend and I both got the Flora palette, and didnt feel like the quality was the same as Angies palette. Thought we were just crazy 😂 My perfect colour story but dont love the looks Ive done so far.
The shimmers in the Flora palette get all over my face. I'm going to try with a glitter glue to get them to stick better. I heard really amazing things about OE formula. this was my first and probably last purchase from them.
whenever i hear that shimmers arent as good I know they will work for me- I am one who really likes subtle shimmers which dont end up on my cheeks, under eyes. I got an older Morphe palette and that was the biggest complaint - so its perfect for me. I dont get the sparkles all over me and its more of a casual look. I can really apply heavily with my finger and they are great. I am intrigued by the Sage but I had to give up colourpop due to the heavy shimmer.
Oden's eye do such lovely colourful palettes, I like the green and blue colour stories. Also, the new Huda cool mattes is lovely, she did a great job with those matte palettes
Planet Spirit is my favorite of the 3, followed closely by Sea Talk. I like the shimmers in Flora but I also had problems getting the mattes to cooperate.
Pls try other palettes from Moira (I have "A moment with you" and "Falling for you" and the shimmers are incredible!!!!). I think they may have changed the shimmer formula lately!🥰
Your comments about the Oden’s eye formula in the Flora palette, that’s literally my experience with the Oden’s Eye Norns palette- I really thought I would love it since so many people raved about it, but I don’t. Can’t build up any depths with the mattes, shimmers are very mediocre. I passed on their new collections after that. So disappointed with it.
I bought the Sea Talk and Flora story and I didnt like the way the Flora story palette performed. But I didnt like the Hella and Nords eyeshadow palettes also. I am done with Oden's eye, I said I wasnt going to buy from the brand again, so probably learned my lesson. The Sea Talk palette hasnt given me that much trouble.
What didn’t you like about them? I haven’t tried the brand, but have been thinking about it, and I always like to get as many opinions as possible before buying something I can’t see/swatch first
You are not alone!!! I could not build the mattes in the Flora Story Palette…it came out so patchy and was difficult to get my looks to go as deep as I imagined they would. Beautiful color story but I do not love the mattes in there.
I don't know if the Huda Cool palette is available in the UK (I shall have to check) but it's definitely my next palette purchase. I have to say "SORRY", because I have a sinus infection and I couldn't watch this when it was uploaded 🙏🏻 Love you, 💚💜💚💜💚

Oh no! That’s sad because for some reason the two other palette’s formulas were their regular amazing one! Idk what happened 🫠

The flora story pallet was not as pigmented and it was patchy i was also disappointed! I love odens eye formula usually.
