    Does the SDI PGM OUT, SDI Loop out, and HDMI Loop out include audio? I assume SDI PGM does, but want to confirm the others.

    Nice video, question if you have both cameras connected like you did, can't you simply use anyone of those cameras as your "webcam"? I have a project coming up where I will use 1 or 2 cameras GoPro 5's and use the house sound system to stream audio for a live webcast using this web presenter of which I don't have yet. Do I still need a webcam or will both of these gopro's be sufficient to act as the webcam?

    Amigo, boa noite. Pode me ajudar?

    Hi, what about using mic arrays, and dedicated audiomixers. Do they have to plug in analog on the back of the unit? My use will be live concert streaming of small ensembles I use a Zoom H6 and two condenser mics, and a small mixer to get a nice room sound. How would a Zoom H6 work within this context.

    Instead of a second camera, would it be possible to send one's own desktop hdmi out with let's say the NLE whole screen timeline (or anything on the screen) as output #2 ?
    I was imagining a scenario where I were editing remotely from a client and that client could see via Zoom for example my edit timeline as I edited ...and then back to "facetime" via #1 (camera).

    Great presentation. I have a question. WHen I started in Television in the mid '80's 1987 to be specific, everything was hardware except for our quantum pain box. Grass Valley switches and so on. The SONY M3 was one of the, if not the first CCD camers. I am now doing some work for a deaf school and I will have 4 inputs. PC/Mac, Cam 1, Cam 2 Cam 3. 1 camera is pointing at the interpreter, one is manned and points at whatever the tallent is holding one is for wide shot 92 person etc) and the 4th is for close-up of whom ever is talking. WIll I need the ATEM vesion of the blackmagic design or the one you showed. I'm thinking the ATEM. Please advise and if known, any pricinng info. Thanks.

    is there an option on the device to connect the mixer in order to get sound on to your camera and stream to facebook?

    • @michaelscamera
      @michaelscamera  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The Web Presenter can use the sound from the source video inputs and additionally run a basic mix using the additional analog audio inputs. If you want the most control for your sound in a simple 2 camera video switching setup, it would be best to use a separate audio mixer and disable the audio on the video cameras.

      I do this all the time. Check out the Fashion Photography with the Fuji GFX video. I just plug a laptop or iPad into the ATEM and all is well. Keep in mind that laptops and iPads are 60fps only - so you need to run your production and cameras at 60fps to make this work. Otherwise, fire up a Teranex AV and convert the frame rate before going into the ATEM. As for recording, the Blackmagic Hyperdeck is what we use.

    can u live stream & record your production simultaneously with the Black Magic?

    • @patrickdewhurst3378
      @patrickdewhurst3378 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      This two years late, but yes. Use the SDI or HDMI loop out ports. As a plus, these loop outs send the full original resolution. Meaning, the web presenter will only stream at 720, but can record (simultaneously through the loop out ports) in full 4K.

    • @ifn_media
      @ifn_media 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@patrickdewhurst3378 Hmm looks very nice BUT!... Would it not be more logical to use an Atem Mini these days? 4 inputs is much more flexible and you could also use a USB convertor to have the Atem Mini portable. One other consideration is that the Atem Mini auto-scales ALL inputs - so no need to adjust all inputs

    • @patrickdewhurst3378
      @patrickdewhurst3378 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@ifn_media In my opinion, you are 100% on point. Unless you are running high end professional grade cameras that have SDI support, the mini is more than enough. Preferable even. Shoot, just get the SDI/HDMI converter and you're golden.
      I returned the Web Presenter very quickly because it just seemed very... not what I wanted. I really am liking the Atem Mini, or even the larger ones if the budget allows lol.

    so with this blackmagic webpresenter can I plug in a console and or PC with HDMI and a camera with the SDI and manage a stream as such ? and would it record both inputs at the same time or would that be software specific
    thanks in advance

    • @michaelscamera
      @michaelscamera  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      The Web Presenter can take the output of PC with HDMI and switch that with a video camera (as long as both are running at the same resolution and frame rate - in this case you would most likely be running 1080p60 for both) and feed that as a web camera USB input to a second computer running the streaming application.

    Does HD ATEM Television Studio HD Live Production Switcher works the same way as the Web presenter?
    I mean sources with ATEM output as well as webcams?
    Thanks

    • @michaelscamera
      @michaelscamera  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      The ATEM switches video signals like the Web Presenter, but has many more options. However, if you want to stream the output of the ATEM you would just connect it to the input of a Web Presenter. Web Cameras, as they are USB devices are not designed to plug into the inputs of the ATEM. However a computer with HDMI output can be used as an input to the ATEM, and therefore a Web Camera connected to this computer could be then used as a source for the ATEM. Keep in mind resolution and frame rate for all inputs need to be matched in order for the ATEM to function correctly.

    My output is flipped when streaming my computer that is ran through the HDMI input, is there any way I can correct this

    • @michaelscamera
      @michaelscamera  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Are you able to exactly state your system setup? When you say flipped do you mean upside down or left to right? The flipped image is showing on the screen of the Web Presenter or on the Computer you processing the Stream?

    • @woodwheelent
      @woodwheelent 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Its flipped left to right, all my words are backward, on my monitors it's fine but when I run the stream to my Mac it's altered

    • @woodwheelent
      @woodwheelent 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I have all my camera's ran to the black magic switcher, my monitors are plugged into the switcher HDMI multiview output, and the switcher is ran to the web presenter via sdi cable

    • @michaelscamera
      @michaelscamera  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      The only thing I can think of is the Mac's Web Cam sub-system is flipping it because the Photo Booth App has previously grabbed the stream. That App is designed to show the Web Cam input flipped. FaceTime most likely does the same thing. Have you tested with QuickTime to see what it shows from the Web Cam feed?

    • @woodwheelent
      @woodwheelent 6 ปีที่แล้ว

    Thanks for the nice clear video. This is almost the setup I bought a few weeks ago, but ended up with an ATEM switcher and a separate streaming box (Epiphan X2).
    Just a suggestion. A mention of how to include audio mixer XLR input, or explanation of how the camera audio is handled would make it a perfect video.

    • @michaelscamera

      Matt, we are planning more videos in this series. Have had a break in production as we put all of our broadcast gear into a new Mobile Production Unit (MPU) to enable shooting in a time effective fashion at remote locations. We just fired it up for our first Facebook Live Broadcast this week.
      Find it here: facebook.com/michaelscamera/videos/10155746797079784/
      You will see some over the shoulders shots of the MPU early on in the video. This same video will be posted to TH-cam in a few days.
      As for the Audio Sub-system on the Web Presenter - it is both powerful and simple and considering the price there is a lot to this little box.
      Audio can follow video (over the HDMI/SDI inputs) and additionally be mixed (or not) with the Mic/Line inputs. There are no level controls so you have to deal with that separately at the source.
      In a future video we will show exactly how this is setup from the Web Presenter's menu system.
      We will also be doing a simple video showing how to use the ATEM Television Studio HD in a simple configuration as it has recently been added to the michaels hire department.

    Hi! Great video - I’m inspired to ask for advice.
    I purchased and set up my new Web Presenter today. I set up a single HDMI camera input, and all my audio running through a mixing desk and into the Web Presenter via the XLR input.
    I set all the audio mixer levels to OFF, apart from the XLR In.
    The picture is clear, the audio levels on the smart panel look healthy and active, but the audio coming out of the device is horrible static squelch! I’m very confused.
    When I tried to Facebook Live with it, the audio was mute.
    Any idea what I’m doing wrong?
    I called Blackmagic but the guy in customer support didn’t even pause from eating his sandwich while talking to me (gross), and was totally dismissive of my issue: “turn on your analog, just turn on your analog” he kept repeating, and eating, and making gross lip smacking sounds. Eeeew.
    Hope you can help. Thanks.
