Alaska on Eurodam must have been a good cruise. Promenade decks on any ship are my favorite feature. Have you tried any other Holland America ships?

@TravelStews yes, I have been on Konningsdam. Some things were better/newer, but it doesn't have the great promenade deck, it is narrower and the life boats block the view quite a bit. The Konningsdam has BB King's blues club, a Dutch Cafe and the music walk doesn't end till about midnight.
