It's a bit odd to see how much Mike has changed his opinions of the 90s/00s pop-punk bands he seemed to hate for so long. I'm glad to see it though, as I grew up listening to a lot of them before discovering NOFX. I'd love to see shows that combine bands like Sum 41/Blink 182/Green Day with bands like NOFX/Rancid/Bad Religion.
Probably because he realized that gatekeeping is a main part of what killed off punk rock.

It’s legit!… I went in March with my wife and was blown away by all the history!… Plus we got to see the Vandals and Get Dead play in the parking lot!

@@TomiT14 there was a dispute with a radio station. Nofx didn’t want them to play the song on the radio, the radio continued to do it anyways. They band said fuck you and decided to never play it live again.

No they weren’t. They have denied it many times, don’t trust everything wikipedia says. They were called Kaspir before, but they were not a cover band.

Good god people just enjoy the experience rather than sticking a phone in the air...
sum 41 started as a nofx cover band....really it was probably just them playing nofx songs in a garage up in canada figuring things out. Now they are playing fucking linoleum with mike himself. How rad is that for them. Too bad stevo wasn't there for this. No hate to frank, great drummer and i'm sure hes dope as fuck but steve-o would have brought it full circle considering the sums are giving it up and going home as well. Glad dave was here for this OMG "I DONT DO BAD RELIGION COVERS" is so funny!!!

Agreed, even more if it's for totally failing the break like the on one the left.
Deryck the vocalist doesn't play guitar that much anymore during live performances, so mostly there's just two guitarists. I think they made the right decision when they chose to keep Tom in the band when Dave the previous guitarist returned. That gives Deryck free hands literally. And Tom and Dave are fucking awesome. Tom also plays the keyboard on some songs.
They play more metal then pop punk anymore... Probably why
