The show is always funny when Lucy and Gary on it, but I've noticed that Lucy likes to make kind of a spectacle of herself on those lightening rounds pretending that she's shocked every times she does it (and yes, Lucy and Viv were paired together on a later show)
The "Lucy Show" episode she references at the beginning where she conducted a symphony was a comedic masterpiece. Check it out if you've never seen it. It's incredible in that she doesn't utter a word throughout most of the episode. If she had been born earlier she would have been great in silent movies.
Funny how they asked the female contestant if she was married and they asked what the male contestant did for a living. I wonder when it changed and more women had careers than ever before and some men stayed home and not everyone got married.
I think Betty White was the best female player on Password. I guess because she was on so much. The best men players were Martin Milner from Adam 12. The other was Greg Morris of old mission impossible
Matt Albrecht If you mean a relative of Archie Leach, wrong. But correct if you mean the usual no-talent parasite that attaches itself to a successful star, a leech. Well, a lot of people know that Monday nights, when Lucy was on, was the week's worst night for nightclubs, so bad that most didn't even open.
He married Lucy for her money. She was the richest woman in Hollywood. People called him "Mr. Lucille Ball." If anyone had ever dared to call Desi Arnaz "Mr. Lucille Ball" they would have received a black eye.
@@josephpanzarella1417 Didn't Gary offer to sign away any rights to Lucy's money before they married, of his own accord. I think that was in Lucy's own book. Actually no Lucy very much consulted Gary on every decision that was made. She would often tell people when asked what she wanted to see what Gary thought. He says she always asked him for his opinion on all decisions, that she treated him like he was the man of the house. But yes she told him she wouldn't put up with cheating at all.

I. grew up watching. game shows I love them and password was one of my favorite
Lucy and Gary are such a pip to watch! Both are very good players. And they are funny! I loved this episode. Thanks for uploading it!
Okay okay I will
I liked Gary Morton's sense of humor. I think Lucy and Gary were very happy together.
I laughed thru most of this. Lucy and Gary were very funny. Gary not knowing what admonish meant was a hoot.
Lucille is genuinely charming here
Lucy was sharp as a tack. One of a kind.
Normally I don't watch this show but I like the couples and the couples with their kids. I like the interaction.
Lucy was a master player!
Lucy was adorable 🥰
Lucy was always good at playing games. She love games after she retired.
The LOOK Luci gave her partner when answered LAWYER to DOCTOR...FUNNNY
Not sure why I am enjoying these kind of show compare to new game show lol. I am on a roll watching.
*...these kind of shows compared to new game shows.
Because new game shows are crap.
She was always so good at games
Gary Morton was such a Gentleman and fine as wine and Lil Desi was so smart.
I think that Gary really did care for Lucy and Desi Jr He was a good stepdaddy to them.

How many times do you think Lucy had to correct someone who thought her son’s name was Ricky? I enjoyed Gary this episode.
How many times do you think Desi Jr. had to correct someone who thought he played Little Ricky in "I Love Lucy"?
Lucy looks good
Gary Morton is amazing
Lucy is good!!
When the players are more intelligent than the celebs but gee Gary Morton was funny.
I love that "you wanna go first?" @20:17 is a double entendre 😂
Lucy: "Scream".
Contestant: "Yell".
Allen: "NO!"
😂🤣😂🤣😂
Announcer: The password is "tinkle" *giggles*
How can you not love her?
"EMBRACE" "Familiar with the word, Lucy?" Why did Allen ask that?... Allen's other dig at Gary when he missed "admonish," "That's your boy, Lucy!"
Allen’s remarks on occasion were more like digs. Strange, because he usually stayed within the bounds of courtesy.
Funny how they asked the female contestant if she was married and they asked what the male contestant did for a living. I wonder when it changed and more women had careers than ever before and some men stayed home and not everyone got married.
There were pre-interviews with contestants. Allen already knew what was interesting about each contestant.
When the government realized they could steal more taxes from a 2 income family.

Such a funny show lol
Omg did he really think her son's name was RICKY???
Her sons name was Ricky. "Little Ricky". LOL! Ps. I am joking.
He must have confused Desi jr. With little Ricky on the I Love Lucy show...oops
I think Banshee would have been perfect for 'Shriek'
I heard that Lucy kept her eye on Gary.
Lucy played a good game
Lucy loved games...
0:24 is that betty bellow the o?
Yes, Betty White and Lucy's mother is next to her.
Lucy looks a bit tired here.
Wow.. TAME.. where did that brand go!?
I think Betty White was the best female player on Password. I guess because she was on so much. The best men players were Martin Milner from Adam 12. The other was Greg Morris of old mission impossible
You left out Carol Burnett.
Eydie Gorme was good, too, and so was Paul Anka.
I love Lucy. Even if she does cheat.
It would have been more fun if they didn't tell us the password could guess with them
I believe she was happy together. I always thought she secret to Desi. At least till the end.

This is great! However, it’s kind of hard for me to watch because some of the old game shows were rigged.
That happened in the '50s. This show was not rigged.
None of the game shows of the 60s were rigged. They wouldn't dare, after what happened in the 50s.
When Desi Jr was older he play password she was older she could still play but not so good
I am finished at Lucy telling that chick to close her mouth booooool. I cannot deal!!!
I didn't hear that.

It was beautiful! Except I would have said "pie hole". Lol!

Lucy must not like the lady saying close your mouth she must meant she might do something Lucy wouldn't do

I feel I can say this with pride, so please pardon me! (clears throat) Is Lucille Ball an idiot? HECK, NO!
I like watch Lucy and her husband Gary. With her children except they call little Lucy or little desi like they are little kids
The have to say little Lucy, because there were 2 Lucys. It's easier then saying Lucille.

The end of this ruined the fun, for me. 🙄!!! What type of host???? The guest are not their television personalities! Geez!!!
Gary Morton does not look 35 years as it was claimed ....considering his baggy eyes and balding forehead,he looks at least45 years old
Even older...He was bald. He always wore a toupee.
39
I agree. He was 39, but looked like hell.
Lucy's drunk.
I Meant to say not to cheat on her. because desi st used go to see hookers that is what men used to do
Gary had a very realistic toupee-

Not.
