There is none. Most of the time when I'm catching shad the water temperature is in the high 80's or low 90's. As long as the water is circulating it seems to work. I fill it up with tap water from the house before I go so it's a little cooler. My biggest issue to putting too many shad in the tank......can't help myself sometime.
@Fishing Is Therapy If I had to guess, I'd say 4 or 5 dozen. As long as you have a good filter, you'll be in good shape. I sure tried everything until I finally got it right.
@Gillikin's Island I made it and those shad stayed alive the whole day and weren't weak at all. I'm gonna make a video of it and can I get your ok to mention you for this shad tank?
@@FreshwaterSouL Of course! Send me a link to the video when you finish it so I can like and commnent. Glad to hear it worked out well. I wish it were just a little more sound proof.
@@gillikinsisland welllll I figured it out my darn female receptacle was cracked and wasn’t allowing for the inverter to plug in fully. Oh well I have a 400 wat and 200wat inverter

It works great! I might suggest a smaller tank. It's pretty heavy and sometimes difficult to dump the water after you're done. I normally bring a smaller bucket to dump the water after I'm done fishing.
Never thought about the fish tank filter. Bout to share this with my buddies. Thanks bro!!
That filter works great! Glad you enjoyed it.
Would putting a micron filter work inline with the pump? That would eliminate the the filter problem
I never thought of trying that. That might help a lot. The filter at the bottom is always getting clogged.
Chip, you are a jack of all trades!!
I don't know about all that!
Good build! You can get a battery or 12 volt filter. Make sure to use chlorine remover too if you have city water
I do need to get a smaller battery. I've been using a regular cranking battery and it's too heavy to deal with
I'm sending this one to my hubby!
Hope he enjoys it!
Those converters are awesome!
It will run a blender for frozen drinks too!
@@gillikinsisland definitely lol
That was informative and entertaining!
Thank you Leslie. I hope this helps you catch more fish!
I might buy this setup. Looks easy.
Very easy!
Excellent video thank you your videos are getting much much better and more interesting good job keep it up
Thank you Ava. It's not very easy. I appreciate your kind word more than you know.
Entertaining and informative 🎣👍👍
I'm glad you thought so....haha
Same thing hapenned to us keep buying new stuff with the same ending!!! Lol
Nice vid 🎉
Thank you. It was a lot of trial and error
Hey buddy! Nice seeing you here.
It's way outside my comfort zone, but I'm having fun with it.
How is insulation on the tank on the hot days?

@@gillikinsisland That makes sense. Around how many dozen do you think are good to keep in the tank?

@@gillikinsisland Appreciate your insight and the video. Take care. Let's see what I can drum up!
Well, now I have a little more fishing knowledge than the hubby!
That is awesome!
How many tablets do you add and how much salt?
I use two tablets and one handful of salt.
@@gillikinsisland Thank you👍

That's great information. I need a new inverter and planning to purchase a smaller battery. Can you provide links to those?
Hopefully you dechlorinate the water before adding fish
I never do and they seem to do fine. What do you add to your water?
A 55 gallon drum
👍
So I guess it worked.
