The terrain around the 'Burgh makes life challenging for truckers. Lots of stopping on hills, and tight windy roads. But Steve is up to the task! Great skills, sir.
Lol that was a cool show. Lots of fakery. But still was good to watch. Lol .The Maryland troopers ship I do believe is a sikorsky model. They are bad ass airships
The roads south of Pittsburgh are super tight. I don't even want to take my pickup on them. The view of town when you pop out of the tunnel is inspiring.
Neat seeing so many things that I'm familiar with in this video - and the Somerset rest plaza is pretty much in my back yard lol. Seeing you navigate Pittsburgh traffic with Orwell reminds me why I hate doing it in a pickup truck. It's a mess.
Love watching you video like your cabovers hope you get to finish them soon I have some bad news I have prostate cancer and can't afford to take care of it so for now I keep watching your videos. I am a driver to so keep trucking 😢
LOL, grew up in the Burgh and always hated the narrow roads and the parkway. I think they call it the parkway because that is essentially what you do, park.
Jesus Steve, you had the hair on my arms standing up watching you push that rig through those wet hilly narrow city streets! For the little bit of truck that I drove, it sure gives me a greater appreciation and admiration of what you guys go through on a daily basis! 👏🏽 👍🏼☺
Neat seeing you truck through places that I drive through regularly. You were actually right down the hill from my house at one point. Shame I didn’t drive by you that day.
Awww - straight cut to the drop. Depending on which way you went out of Pittsburgh, was looking for some footage traveling route 22 through PA up to Altoona then from there to Breezewood. Were in my neck of the woods for this one. Solid work!
You are a very very good driver.. from the old school.. don’t you just like those cars who stop past the line .. then they give you that look..... stay safe out there 😊my father taught me how to drive at a very young age..best way to learn 😊
Trolley brake, trailer brake, great for stopping and holding still on the hills. Stop bar, stop line's aren't even in most driver's education books! Probably not anyways. I'm outta the Lancaster PA area. We always know that after the Breezewood exits in winter the weather is completely different. Same thing for the Tuscarora Tunnel. That's more snow and ice to the west side and better and drier to the east. Nice video.
I got won in Kansas City, north of River. Loaded skidded coils. Ugly right hander back to big road, pinned them between pole and trailer. She was pissed, I was laughing my ass off, she was ticketed for impeding traffic! Loved it!
Nice driving big guy. What a place to drive Orwell with a load on board around. Up hill starts at the lights and the odd car driver that has shit for brains trying to go for the inside line. All in a days work not even breaking a sweat. I was and Im just watching, nice one buddy. Another excellent video.
Where I'm from it's a somewhat unwritten rule that upon discovery of a four wheeler stopped beyond that line, you nose up to them and sit there until they back up. In this instance they would definitely have backed up, being there was no one behind them. There are times where it's more trouble than it's worth and you just pick your battles, but that guy/gal would have gone just a little way back where they came from.
Deep in the South hills of Pittsburgh, you were. Different breed of ignorant 4 wheelers there. I've been there many times. Liberty Tunnels aren't connected with the 376 directly. Blvd of the Allies, fun road. Drove past the County jail then Duquene Univerity.
Hi Steve you where in my hometown..been away from there for a while Pittsburgh PA. I been living Bristol Tennessee for awhile now thanks for the ride along next time through take279 you will go through ft Pitt tunnels and connections to 376 right away you went the old way through the liberty tunnel what a pain traffic wise thanks for the ride 😊
Great video Steve really enjoy all the different camera angles and your commentary. You outside camera's did just fine in the rain. Nice State Trooper Helicopter there at the end of your video.
when close to 80k weight i always used the trolley to prevent rollback on hills ironicly the auto transmisson had a fault when i drove for a mega company out of joplin who had auto shift transmissons they had to program it so the brake actuated the clutch in kind vs not creeping cause people were letting off the brake and truck wouldnt go they get panicky mash the throttle and forget to stomp back down on that brake backing into the vehicle behind em
When a car is past that white line I pull in front of them and make them back up and if they don't I sit there till they make the choice to move or back up
I hope your tire tread is as deep as you can possibly get yeah that little red car try to be sneaky But Steve I will tell ya when I drove rig 20 years ago I did not like it if too much time went by without some kind of Skirmish didn’t occur because those minor little nuisances kept me on my toes think about it you need some close calls weekly if it’s your error or the other drivers error helps keep the blood pumping keeps you motivated you never want to be too comfy or it can sting you
Hey man that rental place you picked up at is right by my house if I was off work and saw you I’d have stopped and said hi, bummed I missed ya man maybe next time you’re in town
I would love to hear you talk about otr life in a cab over. Pros and cons. General parts availability and how is to live and work out of. I'm thinking about getting into one.
I am am double edge sword on the white line. 40 plus years of Trucking I use it to my favor. I cross it to make sure I have to go. But if you cross it and don't go I will put my nose on you if I am turning right or my trailer if left. I will make you back up.
Sitting at a light in the A**Hole Zone... yeah, there's a line there for a reason!! This is one a very few occasions I heard the F bomb drop. Another reason why I avoid the south hills area and the liberty tubes. Always a clusterf**k over there. Speaking of , heading east out of the city is another royal pain. All those lanes going into two with an on ramp and off ramp right before the squeeze. Gotta love the old builds of an older city. 🙄
That's why i hate going that way. Only time we take load's up there is when we are hauling hot shot load's. Cause some area's are hard to turn due to sharp turn's. And u can't tell where the low bridge's that are lower then 13'
Having been on PA roads several times in my life.. I can tell you that you've got your work cut out for you in a city like Pittsburgh who outgrew the roads it was built by.
When I would get the 4wheelers past the line like that, I'd just pull nose to nose with them and pop the parking brake.... someone's gonna move and it won't be me until they move...
13:00 it's always the Nissan knuckleheads!
Just think Steve, back in the day Somerset plaza had a Ho Jo ( Howard Johnson )
Nothing better than seeing a classic coe pete still getting it done
The terrain around the 'Burgh makes life challenging for truckers. Lots of stopping on hills, and tight windy roads. But Steve is up to the task! Great skills, sir.
Love hearing Orwell climb them hills them pipes sing the caterpillar anthem
Cool that's my city, Pittsburgh...
People don't know or care what a stop bar is for.
There for us and Orwell.
Some people are plain stupid.
You are seriously good at what you do!
Great driving as always. Calm and cool during stressful situations
That Maryland State Trooper Helicopter reminds me of the Bell 222 Helicopter they used in the 1984 to 1986 series "Airwolf"
Lol that was a cool show. Lots of fakery. But still was good to watch. Lol .The Maryland troopers ship I do believe is a sikorsky model. They are bad ass airships
I never realized that Pittsburgh was so mountainous. Nice ride Steve!
We definitely have some hills.
Pittsburgh’s topography make driving any commercial vehicle there a challenge..
The line thing cracks me up I don't care anymore I make them move lol
Thanks so very kindly for putting the cameras in the rain that was great 😊
Whoa welcome to steeler country -- the burg is our home !!
I really wanted to hear the jake's in the tunnel
Nothing like Pittsburgh in a big truck.
The roads south of Pittsburgh are super tight. I don't even want to take my pickup on them. The view of town when you pop out of the tunnel is inspiring.
man has his own bizz and great equipment. thanks mister.
Morgan & Morgan is definitely for the money for sure constantly seeing the commercials for those ambulance chasers
that was some solid driving brother. great job and excellent footage.
Way to drive big man, some not so driver friendly roads. Got to love it ! ✌🏻🧡🤘🤙🇨🇦😉
My god it sounds great when she's hauling up those hills!
Driving through these small towns looks wild.
You are one badass driver ✊🏾
I agree
Neat seeing so many things that I'm familiar with in this video - and the Somerset rest plaza is pretty much in my back yard lol. Seeing you navigate Pittsburgh traffic with Orwell reminds me why I hate doing it in a pickup truck. It's a mess.
Love watching you video like your cabovers hope you get to finish them soon
I have some bad news I have prostate cancer and can't afford to take care of it so for now I keep watching your videos. I am a driver to so keep trucking 😢
Yup, I made the same mistake in that tunnel Went all the way up to figure out It's A Right, turn only lane And I live there
LOL, grew up in the Burgh and always hated the narrow roads and the parkway. I think they call it the parkway because that is essentially what you do, park.
Great video Steve. Lol yeah, people are not smart. A lot of them don't know what that white line is for!
The longest trailer I've ever pulled is about a 24 foot behind a pick-up but i do love making over the line folks back up.
My hats off to anyone who trucks out east! I’ll stay in the Midwest
Jesus Steve, you had the hair on my arms standing up watching you push that rig through those wet hilly narrow city streets!
For the little bit of truck that I drove, it sure gives me a greater appreciation and admiration of what you guys go through on a daily basis! 👏🏽 👍🏼☺
I'm living vicariously through your eyes thank you for making these videos and keeping my dreams alive 😊.
Steve, at the end of your video, the MSP helicopter, beside police work, it also picks up critical patients to fly them to Shock Trauma in Baltimore.
Nice job driving and nice shots of Pittsburgh.
The "stop here" line is just a suggestion, sort of like speed limit, "lane ends" and "merge ahead" signs.
Neat seeing you truck through places that I drive through regularly. You were actually right down the hill from my house at one point. Shame I didn’t drive by you that day.
You are one mile from were you delivered if you go straight across 19 you will be in bridgeville in two miles and can get on 79 north or south
Awww - straight cut to the drop. Depending on which way you went out of Pittsburgh, was looking for some footage traveling route 22 through PA up to Altoona then from there to Breezewood. Were in my neck of the woods for this one. Solid work!

Hey Steve! Interesting Sign art ya passed by! be safe out there!
Nice driving big guy. What a place to drive Orwell with a load on board around. Up hill starts at the lights and the odd car driver that has shit for brains trying to go for the inside line. All in a days work not even breaking a sweat. I was and Im just watching, nice one buddy. Another excellent video.
Keep on Truckin Steve, Orwell looks great blowing that black coal.
Welcome to PA home of the rough road 😮
Your channel is pretty much all I watch you keep it real
Another great video man! Keep 'em coming.
Pennsylvania is so much fun to truck around !!

Welcome to the ‘Burgh.

I am a big fan of your channel your a cool guy and orwell is so cool for a 1984
Nice weather
Hauled a lot of iron out of Pittsburgh back in the day. Awesome job Steve 👍
Your videos are very good, I follow you and a Brazilian (Paulo Landim) who works with trucks in your country
They do GoPro housings for scuba diving, they would be great for you for wet days.
Deep in the South hills of Pittsburgh, you were. Different breed of ignorant 4 wheelers there. I've been there many times. Liberty Tunnels aren't connected with the 376 directly. Blvd of the Allies, fun road. Drove past the County jail then Duquene Univerity.
Pennsylvania Road, the land of uphill in both directions I have gone down roads. They are downhill, but it’s up hill at same-time.
20:56 - it’s the old, “you can’t get there from here!”.
Does everyone that you pass on the streets and highways in that beautiful truck appreciate what you did to keep the older much happier.
Steve stay in your lane. No lane changes in the tunnel.

Back in the day summerset was a regular stop for me, lol.
it's pretty wild seeing roads that i am very familiar with in your vids.
Should’ve stopped at midway they have a Sbarros. Get a real good meal there
They do that to me I make the idiots back up!
Love the videos. Keep up the good work!. Pennsylvania is so much fun to truck around !!.
Love the videos. Keep up the good work!

I believe if they flattened Pittsburgh out, the city would be the size of Rhode Island. I used the trailer brakes a lot out there.
Hey man that rental place you picked up at is right by my house if I was off work and saw you I’d have stopped and said hi, bummed I missed ya man maybe next time you’re in town
Hope we see more of the helicopter in the next video!!
The liberty tunnel was the first one
Good job steve

Hell I would have known you where in Pittsburgh I would have bought you dinner
Governor of Pennsylvania supposed to be in NH campaigning. Looks like he's got things to do in his own state.
Good video take care be safe 🙏
Fyi the over passes allow for a foot of snow, 12 feet 6 inch is 13 6
Pain driving in town.
Why didn't you ask someone at Sunbelt, what's the easiest way to the interstate 🤔
Sitting at a light in the A**Hole Zone... yeah, there's a line there for a reason!!
This is one a very few occasions I heard the F bomb drop. Another reason why I avoid the south hills area and the liberty tubes. Always a clusterf**k over there. I would love to see you driving a v8 scania and using it in your video,s....
When it rains it pours
That car was about two car lengths past the line! I hope you scared them when you made that turn.
At that junction of the tunnel, you’re supposed to go left on US19 truck, 51, and the interstate is right there. Much easier than this.
Having been on PA roads several times in my life.. I can tell you that you've got your work cut out for you in a city like Pittsburgh who outgrew the roads it was built by.
I think you should git a brand new custom seat really
Best place for a cab over?
NYC
(Mack SuperLiner)
When I would get the 4wheelers past the line like that, I'd just pull nose to nose with them and pop the parking brake.... someone's gonna move and it won't be me until they move...
IMO The Mistake was turning North on 88...shouldve headed south to I-70...get to either 51, 19, or 79 south
Grossing about 70k light I no but sat in center lane on 81 freight shaker pulling cat life
You would have made that 13'5" viaduct. It's only low on the curb side heading north on 88. But, hopefully you won't ever need that info again.
