The crazy part about the original BM cameras is that they are MASTERPIECES and they have great image quality! I love your videos!

I find myself always searching and watching blackmagic 2.5k and the OG pocket/micro "reels,", etc, and this one is one of my favorites. Great work!

Thanks, working on a new 2,5k and 4k movie right now, premiere soon.

May I ask why you're always looking back at those?

@@DFranco91 - Ha, only one reason -- I have a bmcc 2.5k, and original pocket, an a micro. Always interested in testing my visual senses and preferences against newer more expensive cameras... always challenging getting the full picture due to youtube compression, etc, but its enough for me to decide that I still absolutely appreciate what the original BM cams are capable of!

im an avid pocket 4k shooter and I miss my 2.5k BMCC. This camera has a more legit film feel to it's image. The pocket 4k has a broadcast video look that just doesn't do it for me much anymore. Great video.

Thanks, unfortunately, modern sensors = "perfect", almost hyper realistic output. BMCC 2.5 suits my personal preference.

@@_arturjutkowiak_film made my purchase and am loving it. Do you use the aliasing filter from mosaic enginnering? I have it in mine but have to sharpen a lot to get a sharp picture back.

You probably mistook the BMCC 2.5k for the BMPC 4k. BMCC 2.5k has no problem with FPN. Plus, there's a lot of light here.

My god, this camera is magical. Still beats a lot of cameras in 2020. So glad that i also own one of these! By the way, can you please suggest me a good monitor that i can attach with my BMCC? As you might be knowing it has a "SDI" output and not HDMI, and to my knowledge it is a "HD-SDI"... and the monitor i'm looking for is Atomos Shinobi which is a "3G-SDI"... will it work with it? or do you have any other suggestions? I don't really want to buy an SDI to HDMI converter because then i will have to get another power solution battery for it because it requires USB power. Let me know whatever you think will work, Thanks a lot :)

I suggest Fotga DP500IIIS A50TLS 5". Choose TLS version which is including Touch Screen+3D LUT+3G SDI..etc The price is around USD 220 for TLS version.

I use an sdi-hdmi converter, and power it with a tiny power bank stuck on the bmcc body with double sided tape ! My 12v lead-acid battery powers both, the 7 inch hdmi monitor as well as the camera.

Look for a used Alphatron EVF. I got one because I am shooting anamorphic 1.33 and it handles the desqueeze in the viewfinder. Can be had for around $300.
