My son Sebastian was born to the sound of this track in 2007. It was the first music he heard on arrival to Earth. Of course we're life long SR fans ❤🙏🏼
I finally found it. I remember this song from my childhood, when my mom used to drive a car and she’d imitate singing it for fun. I loved these little moments with her and I’m glad that she has good taste in music.
If you've never seen sigur ros in concert, do so before you die. This is some of best music ever created. So incredibly beautiful. I'm overcome with every emotion when I listen to them.
Takes me back to 2005 when I was starting a new chapter in my life. Rediscovered it while watching Aquaman with my son. This song is timeless and oddly comforting to me
Left an abusive relationship in 2006, ran into a guy I knew since 1991. We started hanging out and he introduced me to this band, he is now my husband ❤️
@Squall Leonhart - that show is where I first heard this amazing song and it hit such a beautiful emotional chord. That show had the best soundtrack - was forever Shazaming songs!! 💜
Just recently I saw them live in Poland. They performed this song. I thought my heart will stop because of overwhelming beauty of the sound they created live. Out of this world.
its one of the songs that you dont understand but love anyway. and it's very mysterious and thought provoking that way. very good song to listen minutes before falling asleep. relaxing
'Gazzas tears' bought me here. Music is an art form, I think the best thing about art is that everyone can see something different, and we can all be right. I think what makes life special is that it's finite. I think Gascoigne epitomised the joy of youth and not wanting it to end, unfortunately it does, which paradoxically makes it special. This song is full of life and talent which will not last forever.
@@colinreid2346 They are really something unique in my opinion, the closest thing I listen to that might be considered comparable is Dead Can Dance, or This Mortal Coil. Both use modern and traditional instruments and often use made-up language in the vocals.
Saw these guys live after I was offered a free ticket to their concert in PHX, YEARS ago... No idea who Sigur Rós even was at the time, but been a fan ever since!
Who listening to this in 2022 ? Got heart broken and this song just made me cry and promise me good times are to come by pretty soon. Thanks for the soul relieving song.
I guess there's something beyond words in the music, that let us unite even when we don't understand them. I've always felt longing for home when listening to it and I've always found it mesmerising. And the lyrics are literally truly mesmerising, but I discovered them today. How come. Just today.
I tried and tried to get my husband into recovery. I went in myself. I told him he was dying. I screamed and cried and begged and pleaded. He overdosed two years ago. This video literally encapsulates our story.
First heard this as the closing of the final episode of season one of Sense8. Was transported to a new realm while listening. Absolutely exquisite pieve of music. Many thanks for sharing this with the world.
Sigur Rós are truly amazing. Every single time they hit that miniscule little spot between pure unconfined Joy and utter black despair; pure genius. Try to hear Glósóli without crying.
I love this song, I thought I'd never get to hear it again. All I remembered was how it sounded and that there was a music video with a boy swimming underwater, and here we are at last, I'm very happy to have found it again, it's still as beautiful and heartbreaking as I remember it. Sound quality Is pretty great to me guys lol
I came here because of Sigur Ros. I had no idea this was in Aquaman, because I never saw it. I did watch Sense8 - It has a pretty good soundtrack. I'm proud that my wife walked down the aisle to "Hoppipolla".
When she pulls him out of the water. The music. The camera shots. They are brilliant. Shout out to people who found them on their own and not from tv or movies.
Me ,and my sister would watch a lot of music videos on tv in our teenage years. This song reminds me of my sister because of how much she would play it.
I remember hearing this song the first time in Life of Pi's trailer and for some reason it struck me so hard my tears kept rolling out and I was so baffled. Can't explain why but without even understanding the language, just the melody touched me. Still remains one of bests for me
X2... Aún no sé por qué me contuve al verlos en vivo en el Auditorio Nacional y ahora me cuesta llorar, siento un nudo en la garganta. Pero están dentro de mi top 3. 🙏
The beauty of this song is timeless! But I am still afraid to listen to it. The change in mood is so dark and overwhelming. I feel like a daisy overrolled by a tank. (My first nightmare at the age of four...)
I had a dream where I was hearing this song, I can't remember anything but that I had an intense feeling of sadness, just woke up and went straight here
Certainty a wish before I die…. What’s the point in life without feeling, for Life is Connection … how they move my soul is infinitely incredible- absolutely So heartfelt
I like when music videos are simple, yet powerful! They have less jump cuts, less "special effects" and more long, steady shots. It makes the video seem more real, it makes the audience feel more connect to the video and the song as well as leave a lasting memory that will last years!
Diese Musik is so herzerwärmend... ein guter Sorgenkiller...bringt mir immer wieder innere Ruhe und Gelassenheit wenn ich mir die Truppe anhöre... Keep it up Sigur Rós!!!
this and Untitled #4 could carry me through a field of undulating warm hands that gently press my opiate receptors while slipping into a coma and die....I've already put in my final wishes that no music other than Sigur Ros will be played at my funeral
2022. I found this song after years of searching - found this song in 2008. I will never forget this song, and I'll never ignore it. Something about this song screams to my past self. I've learned a lot... and I have a lot to learn. I'll never forget the lessons I was presented.
The last image from this video reminds me of The Pieta. This band always gets to amaze me with their sublime images of joy and sadness alike... Love them. D.R.
This is probably the most beautiful song I've ever heard. The video isn't extraordinary, but it suits the song very well and is in fact quite beautiful in it's own way. I love both.
I can’t thank Logan Paul enough for using this song in one of his videos, otherwise I would have never found out about this masterpiece. This is very close to my heart

birth is such a trauma that it will associate SR with a horrible feeling! 😁

Saw them on this tour in Portland. I cried. It was probably one of the most emotionally moving shows I have seen.
Ptown baby, dat slabtown funk ayyyyeeee
I was 62 when I saw them in Manchester, the original one, and I cried.. Sometimes when I'm listening, I tear up..

The boys understood how to build excitement. The masters of crescendo. Which is not a cascade but simply a long climb.
I yelled ”OMG THEY’RE PLAYING SIGUR RÓS!!” when I heard this in Aquaman. 😂😅
same as me, i told my wife, darling this is SIGUR ROS
Erik Ahl SAME , i looked at my brother like “👀”
hahah same, i watched it this monday and as soon as it started i freaked out.
totally agree😂😂😂
Same here! Been a fan of this band for years!
I would love to see this video in HD. 14 years and still loving it!
One of the most moving songs I've ever heard proves that emotion rules over lyrics sometimes
I love this song so much. I don't even know what it means. But it just sounds so free and unchained
it's a review of the first tomb raider game
I think it means lost at sea or something like that
