I have driven this on highways and local. Tested its true credentials by taking it to chitral, shandur and gilgit. Following are my experiences
1. Worst engine to body ratio, specially in
hilly areas.
2. Extreme hard suspension, don't think of taking your family to even mild off roads.
3. Reduced width of the body helps in narrow cuts.
4. Good interior styling and quality
5. Seats does recline
6. Fuel average is 8kml in a combined cycle
7. Cool box is a joke, doesn't even maintain the Cool items
No sunroof as well
Even an illiterate person knows that a 2700cc naturally aspirated engine is underpowered for a proper SUV. The sigma variant is way better in this regard but the price difference is too high. I think Fortuner should come with a 3500cc petrol engine and a 3000cc diesel engine.
Yes the long drive is very tiring, seats are like iron benches
Absolutely true. Drive is extremely tiring. As far as power is concerned, only sigma version is better.

This engine 2.7 is also coming in 4x4 Hilux here in gulf and is very tough, it is very good choice as petrol engine is less sensitive to fuel quality issues in Pakistan, as it has 4Lo gear available so it can climb steep hills no issue, some people who like more pick up or too much fast acceleration I think a fortuner 2.7 should be available with manual transmission for them.
Everything is temporary but main n bhi rakha hua tha is permanent!!!✌🖤

I have 2.8 Sigma 21 model, preferred it because it was zero meter. If I would have gone for 2016 Prado then it was costing 18 mn at that time in Jan 21. So better choice was to go for zero meter and it is going very well and enjoying it MA by grace of Almighty.
Nothing compares a brand new vehicle and you get a 15 year old prado in this price

what fuel consumption are you getting ? Is the suspension hard as someone people are saying?
Prado is overrated especially in this day and age when the cost has gone so steep that it nearly competes with a land cruiser 200 series.
@@pakistandriving fuel consumption in city of Karachi is 9.5 km/L and suspension is quite better not as better as Prado or Cruiser. But not as bad as people are saying. See main thing is if you keep tyre air pressure at 29 PSI or if you put more softer tyres then you can have better performance.

I had a prado 2009 Tzg 4.0 and it was hella fast and sold it like for 8 million but now its price has increased to 9 million however i think the diesel variant of For tuner is a bit nicer
But jdm legend Prado Is father of Fortuner its my POV
NO OFFENSE. And i think if u want a jdm car u can buy Prado instead of 2009 u can buy Fj150 prado (2010-2018-newshaped one) as Fortuner’s price has increased to 1crore and 20 lacks or something and in my POV Prado Fj150 is way more better option 4.0 Tz or Tzg

Very uncomfortable vehicle, I bought brand-new, never enjoyed ride, no interior Color options, no features at all, ridiculously expensive metal box. Collects rain water inside doors, Sold it after using it for 8000 KMs.

Not unstable at all. As for the seven seat comment, even a land cruiser doesn’t have enough seating space in the third row. These cars only have that to carry extra luggage and children. Only minivans like kia carnival has spacious 3rd row seats.
