Hi Luke!😊 I’m so excited to hear your full thoughts on this perfume! I think I’m going to start looking for a bottle!!🤭 I love Manifesto. Good to know it’s a good performer!😁 I’m always so happy to see you post a new video!💛
Hi Leah! It’s always lovely to see a comment from you. I think there’s a good chance you’ll enjoy this one.🙂 I have to get back on a regular posting schedule, so there’ll definitely be more videos soon.
Hope all is well... Lalique le Parfum and Mon Guerlain are recent love for me 😍 the slight green touch of bay leaf is chef's kiss. I used to dislike vanilla focused scents and now a convert. I hope Lalique keep their prices affordable for us 🤞🏾
Hi there, thanks. I just finished a bottle of Mon Guerlain; it's such a lovely grown-up vanilla scent. I'm delighted to hear you're enjoying vanilla scents now. I can never have enough of them in your collection! :)
Thanks for the lovely review Luke! I have been on my perfume journey since Feb of this year and I've learned so much about what I love and don't care for. I was looking for something with the same feel as my beloved L'air de Rien from MH and I was intrigued by the bay that might bring the powder and aromatics and dryness to the fore. I recently got a decant of LLP and immediately fell in love. Ordered my bottle and very excited to have it in my burgeoning collection. Keep doing what you do! Love from PNW, USA
That’s amazing! I’m glad you liked Lalique Le Parfum. Thank you for the kind words! You’re from my favourite part of the US. If I ever were to visit, that’s where I’d go first. 🙂🧡
The drydown is musky although no musk listed in the notes. I felt it is similar to skin musk and lovely summer by SJP which both are similar to wild musk that I never smelt.
I love Lalique,it's one of my favourite vanillas.I love its sweetness and woodiness. I bought it 2 or 3 years ago, I have a mini as well and I have noticed that the more it stays the better it becomes.
Actually, the bay leaf note used here - indian bay - is the type that's used in bay rum, a type of aftershave. It doesn't have the same exact smell as the culinary bayleaf used in cooking. I think that's why you like it. :-)
West Indian Bay. They used to use it in barber shops in the Victorian/Edwardian eras. I've got a Bay Laurel tree and it's smell is quite a bit different to this 🙂
Hi Luke! Love your videos; always so informative and intelligent. What do you think of Lalique by Lalique, the one with the fan-shaped top? Anything in common with Lalique le parfum?
Hi there, thank you, you’re so kind. I like Lalique de Lalique but it has nothing in common with Lalique Le Parfum. It’s a totally different scent, a soapy floral. Thanks for watching.🙂✨
Hmmmmm, I might have to try this! I am not a gourmand lover at all. But I love Manifesto and also Lolita Lempicka EDT, so it seems intriguing. Many thanks, Luke!❤️🌹
Just found your channel. I like your approach to fragrance. I bought a bottle of this about a year ago. The liquid is getting darker as the vanilla ages. I think it’s a wonderful, interesting non-gourmand vanilla.
I'm curious to try Lalique Le Parfum, thank you. I have Perles de Lalique, and it's stunning. Maybe you tried Perles de Lalique? If so, what's your opinion? 🙂
Hi there. Sadly, I’m not a fan of Perles de Lalique. It didn’t end up working for me. I didn’t really understand the fragrance. Thank you for watching!🙂
New sub here! Found your 100 yrs of perfume videos and so impressed that I had to subscribe and start my Luke Parfums marathon! Thanks for all you do
Welcome and thank you so much for subscribing! I’m glad you’re enjoying my videos. I appreciate it.🙂
I love this perfume❤ I cant believe a perfume like this cost me around € 21,- on sale. The vanilla is amazing in this one!
Exactly! It smells like a well made designer fragrance.🙂 Thanks for watching!

@@lukeparfums There could never be too many videos!
Absolutely! The thing is, I have so many video ideas but not all of them get realised. If you have any video requests, let me know.🙂
Love this perfume ❤ smells like a bitter vanilla for me
That’s a good way to describe it. Thanks for watching!🙂
I've almost bought this so many times 😂 I think I need to just blind buy it if it's Dominique Ropion. 😊
Hi, I know exactly what you mean. I kept eyeing this one for years. I think it’s a safe blind buy.🙂

Yes, there’s definitely something musky in the drydown. Thanks for watching.
All the fragrances you mentioned I would love to try some of them because I have a champagne taste but I have got a beer budget.
Thanks for making me laugh. I’ll remember this. A taste for champagne and a beer budget!😂 Thanks for watching!

That’s amazing! I can’t wait for mine to macerate as well and get darker and richer. Thanks for watching!🙂

I absolutely love this scent! I cannot believe how inexpensive it is - but I'm certainly not complaining!
Let’s hope it stays that way. I definitely smells more expensive than it is, doesn’t it? Thanks for watching!🙂

It’s a really pretty non-gourmand vanilla. I do love both Manifesto and Lolita Lempicka as well.🙂 Thanks for watching!🧡

Is this a powdery vanilla?
Yes, it is. Thanks for watching.
A man's frag?? Can a man wear this??
I don’t see why not. Thanks for watching!🙂
