Wong JKD - More str8 forward. Simplicity. Street Fighting Inosanto JKD - More Martial Arts. Variety. Trapping into locks etc. Can't go wrong with either. Wish ppl would stop fighting and arguing other different branches of the same tree. That goes for everything.
3:10 “JKD is a method of progression, of training.” 4:02 “JKD is not a method.” Respect to Sifu Inosanto, however these two statements directly contradict each other.
I have trained with all 3 of these men, and it's a shame that most people can talk about is who is doing it better ! All 3 have, or should I say had in 2 cases so much knowledge to share.take what you will and leave the petty differences alone ! Consider yourself lucky if you had the honor to train with any of them
Dan Inosanto is one of the big gest frau dst ers in martial arts. His "as many arts as possible" (his words). Was designed to keep students coming in paying him money. Sc s ammer.
Very good illustration of the contrast between Original / Jun Fan JKD and JKD concepts. Nothing against the concepts guys, but ironically, they don't seem to follow many of the JKD concepts other than "absorb what is useful".
Hi I kind of agree sitting here in my arm chair, done a little Wing Chun but no JKD.I do recall Guru Dan saying in a TH-cam video Lee's training was specific to him because he was partly privately tutored. Lee would also constantly change ideas ,tactics and concepts ,from month to month. My point being if you are privileged to train with any of the original crew you are hopefully going to get a unique taste. I have not quoted Guru Dan PRECISELY -only the part about the monthly changes are his words.

aYO, You should not combine Martial Arts demos under as all the same thing or as the same , it looks the same to an un-trained eye, but it's not. Then again it's a good way to 'Differentiate' the skill levels and understanding of each instructor. Some can talk & demo much but skill level's not up to par. Y'all decide for yourselves. peace!

I Love JKD, I love the low to high and high to low attacks, and the simplicity of it

2:04 Wicked hooks from Sifu Ted Wong. Both his straight lead and hooks hit the sweet spot.
Lightening fast punches at 2:12 so impressive and hard.
Ted Wong rules!!

@rambo2717 I think the pad holder is Herb Jackson and Ted Wong may be referring to him.
Sifu Larry Hartsell and Guru dan's bit is the best part excellent trapping.
@Kampkunstner It's just to show the technique, though Dan always encourage students to train on both the left and right side.

AWESOME!!
Only Sifu Wong is teaching JKD principles here on this clip, Hartsell & Inosanto are teaching the 'CLASSICAL MESS'.
Not even
Great vid .
2:31
@rach1780 But still you dont find recordings of almost none of the doing that. Its usually orthodox stance everywhere. Thats not JKD.
nice check out Charles Wofford ma
The complete video?
@theawakener7 Dan hasnt a boat... :)
Whats up with both Larry and Dan standing in the opposite southpaw stance?
You mean the orthodox stance? 🤣
si fu stefan can u please tell me the names of the video thank you
57 year old. Not 70.
I doubt you ever hold any pads for him, if you have that kind of attitude and respect for someone like Ted Wong.
