First of all I am proud Yoruba boy.
oga people know that the word Yoruba is from the baatuno people of borgu, it was the oyo people that were called Yoruba, the present Yoruba you see us speaking today is the oyo language they are the main Yorubas and my people fought wars with them for centuries same with the other tribes even though we are one, but because they were the ones in power they decided to call all of us Yorubas and we adopted their language for unity sake thank to the missionaries, noting brings people together than a common language.
And I am proudly Yoruba even though I still know my own language.
So pls tell me where the Yoruba people came from.

The concept of Ethnogenesis which explains these is very interesting. Ethnogenesis births newer ethnicities with new features and vocabularies in dialect though retaining certain vocabularies of its preceding or formative ethnicities. What you call English today is a mix or fusion of several dialects of more ancient ethnicities like the celts etc fused by ethnogenesy with other dialects. The Yoruba - Igala case is a special case where I think a migrating ethnicity common in ancestry to both groups split and merged with different clans or ethnicities to form what is now a divergence into Igala on one hand and Yoruba on the other. Both groups are ancestrally relatives.

You must be an insane tales teller. When was Igala founded. Igala that was creation of Yoruba and junkun race you are rewriting history like Erediuawa. Was there Benin during Oduduwa's reign? Oduduwa sent first, second and third rulers to Idu land called Igodomigodo around 900 AD. They were Igodo, Ere and Orire, did those names look like Edo or Igala. Even your father Atta won't fabricate your tales.

@@unitedigalakingdomtv8432 pls sir you need to be smart your videos are just stories
The South West is composed of many ethnic groups
Yoruba is the name given to a group of people who have similar dialect and geographical areas
In the past we didn't call ourselves Yoruba sir
We have almost 15 dialects which means we have over 15 different people.
Some of these people migrated from foreign lands like the ijebu
So are u telling me that the igala created 15 dialects with this different tribes??
The ebga people where the last to even accept to be called a Yoruba
Yoruba is a general acceptable language in the South West
Sir see maybe I don't know anything but I can tell you it's rubbish your saying
      1. You claim that oduduwa went with is children and other igala people who spoke their mother language igala right?
So tell me something don't you know that the ile ife people have their own mothers language too or were they animals who can't speak they were waiting for oduduwa to come and teach them how to talk lol??
Or are you telling me This people didn't have culture, traditional, the food they eat and cloth the wear???
      And the language they speak.
Pls sir there is something wrong with your.
      Bring facts not story
You people should stop putting we Yoruba together as if we are 100% the same some of us have foreigner ancestor.
Igala didn't create anything if igala was in the same geopolitical areas we all would have been called Yoruba together.
Thank God they didn't because of People like you
When we Yoruba fight for our nation I wonder were you this igala would go too
You are not the dominant tribe in any of the states you are from.
I need to know you igala have no culture
No traditional attire you only copy the Yoruba or the hausa
You have no say, you are just yorubiod like every other ethnic groups in South West owu, igbas, ijebu, awori ishekeri, are all Yorubiod if we were in the same geographical area we will all be called Yoruba
Am I a proud Yoruba but I still know we are different people.
      Someo from Egypt, Mecca, Sudan.
      But now we are one
Igala stay on your own abeg fight for your nation.
