I always loved Ann Sothern and the many shows and movies she was in. I watched as many of the Maisie movies as I could find and I also loved the Ann Sothern show and Private Secretary. She was an original and so very gorgeous and sexy!!
I love Ann Sothern. She was very beautiful and a great actress. I'm crazy about the Maisie movie series. I Love them!!!! Her radio shows and tv shows were great as well. I never knew about sickness and illnesses she went though. Her favorite line on the Maisie movies will always stick with me. "Likewise, I'm sure". Thanks Facts Verse for this is video😊😊😊
I'm a big fan of Ann and appreciate this brief summary of her amazing career. But have to note at least two fallacies in this summary. First, Lucille Ball was definitely not a natural redhead unlike Ann. And secondly, while Lucy's comments about Ann after Ann's passing were very sweet, they couldn't be possible. Lucy died in 1989 while Ann passed in 2001 (unless she was commenting from beyond the grave).
Big Fan. Longtime Viewer. Private Secretary, Ann Southern Show, even Mrs. CRABTREE in My Mother the Car was funny .. take it from CRABTREE. The movie Blue Gardenia was memorable. Whales of August was great to see all these great talents.
@@FactsVerse Hi there. Irwin Allen info, Richard Basehart, info. on original Lost in Space and Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea, Outer Limits original tv series....these might be just a few. They all are, and have, the talents of people from the Golden Age of cinema.
What an amazing life. It seems sometimes age can be unforgiving. They call it the “ravages of age“. One thing I’ve learned it’s better to have a little extra weight as you get older otherwise you could be prone to some serious health issues I don’t mean a lot but just a little extra edge a little cushion if you will OK what a great story thank you for making these wonderful pieces
❤ SINCE I BECAME AN AVID FAN OF TCM, I HAVE SEEN SO MANY OF HER MOVIES 🎥 BASICALLY, YOU NAME IT. SHE HAPPENS TO BE AT THE TOP OF MY LIST. BY THE WAY, IN 1953, SHE PLAYED IN THE MOVIE " BLUE GARDENA ", WHERE SHE PLAYED, A MAJOR CHARACTER SUPPORTING ROLE(SO COMICAL) FILM NOIR. I MISS SEEING HER. ALTHOUGH, THE BLUE GARDENIA IS ON DEMAND TCM, RIGHT THIS MINUTE FOR A FEW MORE DAYS!!! 6/17
I had heard that during her second series she got a bit careless about her diet and put on some weight, unfortunately. It of course never affected her talents, though. She also had an unlikely character role in 1964's "Lady in a Cage" along with Olivia de Havilland and a young James Caan as Sade, a ragamuffin type character that was one of the people that broke into the house while de Havilland's character was trapped in an elevator.
Your comment that she was a natural redhead like Lucille Ball (who well known to not be a natural redhead) makes me question that legitimacy of all your statements.

She was born in 1922 and graduated high school in 1926?
I always thought she was a blonde
