It is criminal how in 13 years of doing youtube, a channel literally named HAT films, has never done anything about hats.

I've been subscribed for over a decade now, waiting for them to discuss hats and hat culture.

From someone who wears alt fashion. I just wear it because I think it looks cool and I feel good wearing it. That's the best reason to wear anything really.

100% get what Trott means about looks and being a parent. I used to care about looking good and wanting people to think I look good. Since I became a dad I wear what I find comfy and don't really care if I look slobish

God I couldn’t originally identify the silly song cover but something broke in my brain as soon as I heard that GOOFY progression

Hat Films each pick an accessory to trial and we the community decide who is pulling it off

I find it very strange when I see people wearing collars like dogs etc. I think "do they want be someone's subservient pet?" that is how I see them.

I genuinely believe that if you fear being judged by others it's because you harbor judgmental sentiment yourself. Confidence is when you give up judging others and treat them as they come, which will become apparent to other people and will feedback into your self-confidence just like the judgement. It's all social like that.

As someone who wears a cloak in public regularly, I've only ever received compliments for it (except from one group of teenagers). Strangely I feel more self conscious and judges around other nerdy / larpy types because they think that everyone else is judgemental about it.

if we don't learn about the past we will be doomed to repeat it (unfortunately if we learn about the past we will also be doomed to repeat it)
